X35 Earthwalker Gungrave C.O.R.E

Gungrave G.O.R.E. is an action shooter game developed by ‘Iggymob Co‘ and published by ‘Prime Matter‘. Gungrave G.O.R.E. has come out on the 22nd of November 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Gungrave G.O.R.E. wants to be about that action. X35 Earthwalker likes action. Let’s take a look.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. has a very simple story. There’s a drug called Seed. Seed is incredibly dangerous and ruining the world. El-alcangel is an organisation that trying to destroy Seed. Raven clan is the organisation that wants to spread seed everywhere. Beyond the grave and Mika, thanks to quartz, learn that raven clan is in scumland. So they go there to finish them off. That’s it.

X35 Earthwalker Gungrave C.O.R.E

Forget about elegance and fancy stuff with this game. Gungrave G.O.R.E. is all about the action. The name even suggests this. So just get out there and start shooting. Many players love to be powerful, shoot and story whatever is in their path. Sort of like Doom Eternal. Gungrave G.O.R.E. just lets’s players have fun and shoot. Your character Beyond the grave is superhuman and invincible because after he died, he was revived using necrolization. Just accept it.

We won’t go into all the details but there are multiple significant characters in Gungrave G.O.R.E. and they stand out from each other. They certainly don’t behave the same way. Turonty, Ganpo, Yensen, Zell and much more.

X35 Earthwalker Gungrave C.O.R.E

We checked out some Gungrave G.O.R.E. gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected. Fire and blast away. There’s a simple system for everything in Gungrave G.O.R.E. The shooting system has auto aim and it applies to both enemies and destructible objects. You have shields. Shields work like shields in Halo Infinite. They can recharge if you aren’t taking damage for a while. There’s a beat count which measures how many times you have shot enemies. Keep the beat score high. The higher beat. score means more rewards after beating the level. You can knock on, dodge shoot, dodge, melee attack (funeral strike), death tornado which can be used to reflect missiles back or knock back enemies. There burst mode and storm barrage too.

Overall Gungrave G.O.R.E. does look like it’s a good game. There’s lots of mechanics in the game, special abilities and moves. It’s all about the action and it delivers action. There’s chains, slams and ultimate specials like Fury mode and demolition shot which allow for complete destruction and damage buffs. The game does look good, the effects like particles are very good, the action isn’t lacking and the main character Beyond the grave acts very stylish and relaxed about everything. Almost reminding us of Dante from devil’s may cry. Gamers like those types. The developers ‘Iggymob’ so far have done a good job. X35 Earthwalker wanted more action, hopes for more creative enemy variety and one more thing that we won’t mention. Let’s see if the developers can think good like X35 Earthwalker. Now Gungrave G.O.R.E. may have loads of action but it’s too stale for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Awakening of Mummies

The Awakening of Mummies is an action puzzle game developed and published by ‘Virtual Arts Studio‘. The Awakening of Mummies I said to be coming out the 16th of November 2022 on Xbox, 17th of November 2022 for Nintendo Switch. It’s already out on PC off course. Puzzles and mummies. X35 Earthwalker hasn’t got anything against mummies. Let’s take a look.

The Awakening of Mummies is very simple. There’s a pyramid. There’s many sleeping mummies. Cleo is an evil pharoah and she has imprisoned mummies. Strange right? Anywho… you have to wake them up and lead them out safely. There you go.

X35 Earthwalker The Awakening of Mummies

So this is where players puzzle solving skills are needed. The Awakening of Mummies keeps it simple. You will end up leading groups of mummies. There are dangers of course. There are wholes in the ground and even spikes which will kill your mummies. Avoid them. Make sure to collect the correct runes of each mummy and then get them all to their own totems… at the same time (we hear). Then just open the door and proceed to the next chamber in the pyramid.

X35 Earthwalker The Awakening of Mummies

We checked out some The Awakening of Mummies gameplay and it’s what we expected but simpler. The mummies are kind of cute. Got cartoony eyes and physics, like when they step over a hole. Keep them safe at all costs. Also Cleo is just there. She’s just chilling we guess. She can be seen and shoes just watching things happen. When you successfully get the mummies out she gets angry. So why won’t she do something? We see what this game is doing.

Overall The Awakening of Mummies seems like a good game for how simple it is. It’s nothing complicated. If you want a nice simple puzzle game with a classic style but cartoony then The Awakening of Mummies does that. It’s either you like games like this… or you don’t. That’s all. The developers ‘Virtual Arts Studio’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker have conquered every puzzle he has faced. Now The Awakening of Mummies may have an evil Cleo but she ain’t a problem for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a good game. It has its problems and they are very clear but we are focusing on the combat. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has fantastic combat gameplay and mechanics. X35 Earthwalker has gone crazy in the combat and off course mastered it. So we can take his word for it. We will keep this G-blog quite short. Let’s take a look.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has fast paced combat. If you aren’t trash and actually play on high difficulty then this game will be difficult. Some enemies will trash you and even making one mistake can lead to death at times. Players will need to have good reflexes and a decent level tactical mind. There’s multiple styles, mechanics and abilities. If we dived in ands broke things down then this would be large G-bog for sure.

The main thing is that there’s multiple classes which can have different weapons from maces, swords, dual blades and even your fists. Each class you can enter the battle settings which determines your weapon (if your class can handle multiple weapons), combo abilities, equipment and command abilities like Light bringer. This is where all the customisation and style design takes place. Equipment level determines your character level. Combo abilities can be done in specific sequences of attacks and can truly lower enemies break meter. command abilities allow for powerful effect that can change the course of the battle. Command and combo abilities both require MP.

Now if you are a lower level than what the level recommends, then you will actually suffer in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. The enemies will do much bigger damage but even worse is they drain your break gauge extremely fast. Once the break gauge is drained you are temporarily just sitting there. Meaning you get punished heavily. This is another reason why combat is intense. On high difficulties and being a bit under levelled or facing a really strong enemy, the battles become very intense. You have to focus, time your attacks and dodge/block everything. Getting hit once really costs you. Also the enemies break gauge is harder to reduce as well. Sometimes those fights are the better ones.

Players must be careful of their health and, manage their MP wisely as both can go down really fast. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has multiple options for multiple things. You can straight up block or use the soul shield. Soul Shield lets you block an attack and restore MP while also increasing your max MP. You can also quickly follow up a successful soul shield with an attack. So why use regular block like ever? Well that’s because unlike soul shield, blocking can block against multiple attacks in rapid succession. Soul shield blocks that one attack. So any attack like a volley of projectiles counters soul shield as you block the first projectile but all the others will strike you.  Soul shield also drains your break gauge making stunning you all the more easier if used wrongly. So pick which defensive option based on the enemy and situation.

X35 Earthwalker Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

There’s a few classes that truly dabble in magic. The mages are powerful and can bring out some serious effects and attacks. The sage is better as it can use both attack types of the mages. elemental attacks and powerful buffs for yourself and the team. There’s even an Ultima attack which completely destroys all things… most of the time. Strongest attack in the game and is a boss slayer. Then there’s the Ninja class which has resources exclusive to the class which can be used to activate a few powerful abilities and even perform elemental attacks or throw shurikens (regular and big). Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, smartly, allows you to switch between your two selected classes. So switching up the abilities and getting optimal is an option here.

Overall the combat in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is excellent. The combat is the best thing about the game. When you master it, memorise enemy attacks and upgrade your classes, the combat rises to a different level. You end up really enjoying it. Soul shield, combo abilities and then finishing them off. By the way, the executions for these enemies are very good for the most part. Skeletons get stepped on, head ripped off and then used to destroy them. Flying bird hybrids get swung and smashed into the floor… hulk and Loki style. An aquatic enemy gets its back broken. Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger of Paradise do need to add more flavours to the combat and give players more free control when it comes to elemental attacks. X35 Earthwalker sees all the changes the need to make but this ain’t the G-blog for that. Now Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin may have excellent, fun combat but it’s still not up the level of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Vampire Survivor

Vampire Survivors is an action rougelike game developed and published by ‘Poncle‘. Vampire Survivors did come out already on Mac and pc the 20th of October but it’s finally coming to consoles… Xbox on the 10th of November 2022. Players are definitely going to give the a try on Xbox. Alrighty then. X35 Earthwalker is the number one ranked when it comes too game. Let’s take a look.

Vampire Survivor shouldn’t need that much explaining. It became quite popular for sure. You control one of many different characters and face off against hordes of endless enemies. Well it’s not truly endless as you need to survive… Until Dawn. Get it? The game Until Dawn. Reference skills on point.

X35 Earthwalker Vampire Survivor

Each character has different abilities and starting weapon. As you kill and survive, you can get experience points to level up and hopefully get new weapons. You can come across chests which gives you upgrades. The upgrades make all the difference. For example if you have the Bible item, which is already powerful, but upgrade it to its final form, it like the best at keeping enemies away. It forms a powerful ring around you harming everything. So yeah.

X35 Earthwalker Vampire Survivor

Vampire Survivor is a difficult game… for average or bad gamers. There is a formula to this game. Some weapons are clearly better than others. Some Weapons upgrade final forms are clearly more useful than others. If you play enough, pay attention and maybe take notes then you will find the perfect ways to get all your weapons to the final form and dominate. We are glad to see that updates have come to the game and new things are here.

Overall Vampire Survivors is going to be good fun. The game relies on being addictive and pulling players in. You can’t just play this game three times and be done with it. You have to keep playing. There’s actual money to earn so you can upgrade your characters permanently. There’s combos to discover and levels to conquer. Also a grim reaper keeps showing up to kill soo yeah… watch out for that. The developers ‘Poncle’ have done a good job. We at X35 Earthwalker will give this game a couple of tries. Now Vampire Survivors may have all the ghouls but none of them are a problem for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Counterattack

CounterAttack is a side scrolling shooter developed by ‘Relative Games‘ and published by ‘Relative Software‘. CounterAttack is said to be coming out the 5th of November 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. counterAttack is already a released game on Linux, Mac and pc. CounterAttack is coming to consoles… the Xbox Series X. X35 Earthwalker is the best in the gaming industry. Let’s take a look.

X35 Earthwalker Counterattack

The story here in CounterAttack is simple. Earth is under attack. So defend it. Basically. The enemies this time are ‘Automations’. Created by humanity themselves. They have rebelled against us and now we got a problem. The solution is to fight back with the ‘Experimental Space Fighter Program’. Basically pilots who pilot powerful space ships made for combat. Blast away, evade incoming fire and try to survive. You know the drill.

CounterAttack has an amazing feature that many other games don’t have and that is… local co-op! So locally you can do 1-4 and online you can do 2-8. The amount of good games that don’t have local co-op is pathetic. A game like this does need local co-op. So  gather friends and family and go blast some ‘Automations’.

X35 Earthwalker Counterattack

Each pilot is different as they have their own ship and unique ultimate weapon. So check them all out first. Carl has the Plasma Strike, Biff has the Big Biff Laser, Joe has Overcharge, Jinx has the Hack Wave, Ayumi has the Tactical Nuke, Sarah has the Quantium Shield, Marcus has the Mesonwave and Sloane has the Fighter Squadron. So yeah, Looking forward to finding out who has the best ultimate weapon and who is the most versatile in use.

X35 Earthwalker Counterattack

We checked out some CounterAttack gameplay and it’s what we expected. The graphics and visuals are not very good though. It’s the simple style that they went for. Gameplay is more important though and that’s definitely there. You can unlock upgrades to make you more powerful. Enhance your ship and maybe do it your way. Equip attachments to basically create new weapons as in how they function. We hear there’s over 500 attachments concerning your ship. There’s even 3 endless survival modes. Sounds like quite a semi packed game.

Overall CounterAttack sounds like a very good game. CounterAttack is cross platform for multiplayer. This means Linux, Mac, pc and now off course, the best, Xbox. The story mode has 32 levels. There’s even a level editor, so players can of crazy with that. Medium high levels of customisation. The variety of enemies is a big factor that we need to see. The developers ‘Relative Games’ have done a good job with this game. X35 Earthwalker himself will see what becomes of this being on console. Now CounterAttack may have 8 different pilots but all of them together accomplish nothing against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Signalis

Signalis is a survival horror game developed by ‘rose-engine‘ and published by ‘Humble games‘ and ‘Playism‘. Signalis is said to be coming out the 27th of October 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Signalis is here to bring a new dark adventure. It’s cool to see new games try things out and bring their mix to it. X35 Earthwalker notices such things. Let’s take a look.

Signalis is set in a dark and dangerous world. Mysterious world too but let’s calm down for now. Players control a lady called Elster. She’s described as a “Technician Replika”. Her goal? To find her “lost dreams” and lost partner. Sounds strange but wait until you see what’s happening.

X35 Earthwalker Signalis

We hear that Signalis has “cosmic dread” and not just survival horror but ‘classic psychological survival horror’. This makes a difference as horror and psychological horror have clear distinctions. We have spoken about this multiple times already so go read our previous G-blogs. Psychological horror games better deliver.

X35 Earthwalker Signalis

There’s puzzles and mysteries to solve and understand. It’s not just kill monsters and manage your resources. This is a cold world and players will need to explore the derelict spaceship. It’s a “doomed facility” and there’s another secret beneath it. Now off course Signalis is a survival games so managing your weapons, resources, ammo etc is a big factor and we hope that Signalis actually balances the difficulty and level of resource management to create a good and difficult experience.

We checked out some Signalis gameplay and it wasn’t really what we expected in terms of the camera view and art style. We do like how dark the game is. They going for some atmosphere round here. We see the Dead Space stomp attack for enemies on the ground. There’s multiple weapons like automatic weapons and even a shotgun. There’s always a shotgun. Signalis seems to actually have something going on here.

Overall Signalis seems like a good game. There’s a cool design style here. This game isn’t our style. There’s off course many who will be into this. The developers ‘rose-engine’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep man ear open for news concerning this game. Signalis may have a cold world with mysteries but it would be solved instantly by… he ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Great Games

X35 Earthwalker being the greatest and smartest gamer and person on earth, has off course come across many games. Not all good games got the spotlight. Some were under the radar and just didn’t really get noticed. This time X35 Earthwalker just wanted to go over a few games briefly. So they get mentioned and hopefully bring up some good memories for other gamers. Let’s take a look.

Now off course there are tons of good games and many great games but we can only choose a few for this G-blog. Now these aren’t the best games or games that defined an era or whatever. Just good games we remembered when we sat down for a moment and did some casual thinking.

World of Van Helsing Deathtrap. Now this X35 Earthwalker and this game got way back. You like tower defence? Yah! You like facing enemies head on? Yah! Then World of Van Helsing Deathtrap is for you… probably. It’s a very good game and we spent hours in it. There’s lots of levels and challenges. Your character gets in the fray and fights the hordes that come along with the towers you build. Many towers with different effects and elemental attacks. There’s many, many different enemies, including champions and worst of all… the… the lord of the swarm. The lord of the swarm will NOT be talked about but let’s just say that it’s arrival is ALWAYS announced. We might come back and try this again.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is another good game from the past. This isn’t a big game but quite a big adventure. You go through 5 completely different areas with five completely different characters weilding ‘V’ (roman numerical) different factions of basic, elite and champion units. There’s numerous strategies and builds you can run in battles. Players must align three of the units by matching colours to create attack formations or walls. Move troops around, delete some and call in more to get as much alignment and links as possible. We have had multiple battles and X35 Earthwalker defeated many more experienced higher level players, like in the video above. This game is good fun and has a challenging story mode. The story difficulty is old school and gets real hard towards the end, to the point where it’s actually unfair. There’s unlockable characters and units to find and earn through the story too. You got to love it.

Who likes explosions? Saying yes doesn’t make you a terrorist. More likely means you like Mega bomberman. We do. Bomberman Battlefest was at the time the best bomber man game. Multiplayer was crazy. Lots of room for games with the family, the friends or even online. Off course there isn’t anyone online anymore but in the past there was and some players were dedicated Bomberman players. We even faced a dude with a jester hat who when had the remote control bombs was almost unstoppable. Bomberman Battlefest brings back the classic bomber man gameplay and adds the modes and items. The different types of bombs are here off course like pass through bomb and bouncy bomb. There’s even the dangerous bomb which at max strength covers basically a quarter of the screen. There’s team modes, keep the crown and more. The CPU are not bad either. At the highest difficulty, they can be a problem from time to time.

Here’s just three games that came to our mind during that quick think. World of Van Helsing Deathtrap, Might & Magic Clash of Heroes and Bomberman Battlefest. These are also games that you can come back to and not get bored. They are that good or fun. Now these games may still be fun and hold up but they aren’t as fun as… the ‘Earth Walk!’

The Eternal Cylinder X35 Earthwalker

The Eternal Cylinder is a adventure survival open world game developed by ‘ACE Team‘ and published by ‘Good Sheherd Entertainment‘. The Eternal Cylinder is said too be coming out the 13th of October 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It was already out on previous generation consoles like the Xbox One. The Eternal Cylinder is definitely a unique game. X35 Earthwalker knows what’s good. Let’s take a look.

We will try to keep this quick. We knew about The Eternal Cylinder a long time ago. This game is unique for sure. No questions asked. The eternal Cylinder is set in cool but strange alien universe. In this world, players control creatures called Trebhums. These creatures are definitely late bloomers as they start of at the very bottom of the food chain barrel. they are weak, fragile and easy to hunt and kill. Trebhums do have the unique ability to evolve and mutate based on flora and fauna they eat. This leads to new physical properties and abilities. So yeah… eat up.

The Eternal Cylinder X35 Earthwalker

Oh, lets not forget about the other star of the game… the massive cylinder which keeps on rolling and crushing EVERYTHING in its path. With all your exploring, eating and strategising, make sure to keep on the move to avoid death by crushing cylinder. The Eternal Cylinder is has replayability value. Listen to this description, “This unique ecosystem is a massive, procedurally generated land with unique animal AI, real-time world destruction, and organic exploration and puzzle design to create emergent gameplay that ensures no two playthroughs are ever the same.” This is a massive thing to say.

We have seen a number of unique aliens who are also inhabiting this world. There’s actually quite a lot going on. The Eternal Cylinder is also open world. This means exploration is needed. There’s even puzzles that players may need certain mutations to make certain things possible. Do not forget that it’s a herd, soo you need to manage a group of creatures, keep them safe and make decisions for the group. What’s also real good are the aliens. These creatures have some unique designs for sure. Just look at them other website. The Buddugh Gropp, Gharukuk, Tongledroplet and Celestial Trewhaala are all strange but do look dangerous. So players must learn the different alien species to know what’s aggressive, what eats meat and what’s docile.

We checked out some The Eternal Cylinder gameplay and it’s what we expected. The Eternal Cylinder has lots going on which makes players want to look around and explore… but there’s also a factor forcing the player to sort of act quickly. This in a way reminds us off a fantastic one of a king game called Pikmin. You can’t just mess around. You have to always be progressing and pushing towards a goal. There’s a carroty of biomes which makes sense as this is a whole planet. There’s desert, tundra, infected and savannah. Each has different threats and aliens. Good job.

Overall The Eternal Cylinder is an excellent game from what we can see as of now. We do wonder about just how active there world is in this game and how good the so called ‘unique animal AI’ actually is. We have questions but that will have to do for now. The developers ‘ACE Team’ have done a fantastic job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will be looking out for the action in this game. Now The Eternal Cylinder may have an unstoppable element crushing things but it’s not even a problem for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Darkest Tales

The Darkest Tales is an action adventure platformer game developed by ‘Trinity Team‘ and published by ‘101xp‘. The Darkest Tales is said to be coming out the 13th October 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. The Darkest Tales is not about to have it easy. X35 Earthwalker will tell it as it is. Let’s take a look.

Let’s keep this simple. You are in the realm of dreams. This place is distorted childhood dreams as well. You are a teddy bear, a stuffed bear. No joke. You must save your owner, Alicia, from this place. This mission is not going to be sunshines and rainbows although you can expect some of that though. Dreams can be anything after all. Get ready for a fight.

X35 Earthwalker The Darkest Tales

Only the stuffed teddy can save Alicia in The Darkest Tales. Alicia is a grown up and only something from her past can do it. The Darkest Tales has aimed to be a deep and complex story. The games description said “you’ll have to come face-to-face with the difficult questions of life more than once.” Now this does get our attention a bit. Brace yourself.

The Darkest Tales is a game full of danger. So there’s going to be enemies. This nightmarish and distorted world. The fairy tail like place has recognisable locations and beings. Rubber duckies who are blood thirty, the little mermaid but she looks more like a sea witch than friendly, sleeping beauty is here too and she ain’t friendly or sweet either. Worse of all… there’s… there’s… violent gingerbread men! Not the gumdrop buttons!

X35 Earthwalker The Darkest Tales

Good thing this teddy bear ain’t no wuss. He built melee weapons and a bow. His arrows are needles. Even got a grappling hook too. Combat is a part of this game. You will need to time your attacks, get sort of tactical and deal with the obstacles. It does seem like there’s more than. one ending. We hope so. We don’t think The Darkest Tales has a deep combat system. Must be simple for what the game is and it’s style. We do lie the different types of enemies, including the big threats you have to avoid and run from. This game will need loads of surprises and some glimpses of dangers to come.

We checked out some The Darkest Tales gameplay and it’s almost what we expected. You are travelling from left to right, limbo and side scrolling style. The animations are very good though. This game has got good attention to details as well. The teddy bear can gain experience and get skills. Which suggests a skill tree. The combat is actually active and it isn’t the same but it reminds us of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. There’s got to be secrets in The Darkest Tales and maybe that’s what links to the multiple endings. There’s even a giants’ castle in the clouds… which needs exploring.

Overall The Darkest Tales seems like a cool and maybe freaky experience. A dream world that’s a nightmare. Traps, obstacles, enemies, evil forces and a way to fight back. The fairy tales will be distorted and ruined for you. How tough can one stuffed teddy bear be? The developers ‘Trinity Team’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for this game. The Darkest Tales may have a hero teddy bear but it’s not enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel

Fuga: Melodies of Steel is a tactical role playing game that was developed by CyberConnect2. Fuga: Melodies of Steel was released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. This game is excellent. X35 Earthwalker is playing it now and it’s been a good treat so far. There’s a lot to say and talk about but we will try to keep it short. Let’s take a look.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel is all about a group of children, a dozen at most, who are controlling a tank. Why? Their village got raided by an invading military force and their families were taken captive. So They ended up finding a powerful tank called the Taranis. It’s massive and bigger than any other tank. It’s a super tank. They will use this to chase after the Berman army. Sounds like a plan. Right? It’s children after all.

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel

We like the graphic style of Fuga: Melodies of Steel. It sort of reminds us of Astria Ascending. The game looks good. The characters look good and are distinct. The character designs alone give you a lot of information about the characters. That kind of designs top level and many people can’t do that. The story telling is effective. The voice of the lady communicating with the children sounds almost perfect. Sounds like a guardian… their guardian but who is this person? The illustrations + voice and the events work very well together. We already have characters we care about… a lot. X35 Earthwalker will not allow harm to come to these children.

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel

The main thing about this game is the strategies. Fuga: Melodies of Steel has many mechanics that allow for deep strategies. It’s not just fire cannons at enemy tanks. Each tank has weaknesses that when exploited with a specific type of tank cannon, can cause the enemy vehicle to be delayed. Making them act later. The weapons have different damage and accuracy. Some enemies are harder to hit and so it’s wiser to use certain weapons against them. There’s status effects that can be inflicted like stun, burn and smoke (here’s more). Smoke reduces their accuracy and burn inflicts damage after each action. Special abilities and attacks require SP to use. Another resource to manage. Some enemies have armour which reduce the damage they take but there are special ammo and abilites that can get rid of the armour. There’s buffs you can give to individual characters or there whole team like increasing luck, speed or damage. We can explain more but lets’ keep it short.

The strategies don’t end on the battlefield. There’s more thinking required during the intermissions. During the intermission you have 20 AP (action points). Having the children talk to each other, to build their relationships, costs AP. Planting seeds to grow crops cost AP. So does, fishing for scrap and cooking a meal. Why are you doing any of this? They all yield great benefits. Building relationships allows for link attacks and stronger support effects. Growing crops produce ingredients for cooking. Cooking meals gives buffs to your characters. Scrap fishing creates a chance to obtain materials. Materials are needed to upgrade the Taranis. Upgrades include more health, damage and maximum SP. You never have enough AP to do everything you want or need. You have to decide what to do, prioritise and conclude what’s most important. You’ll understand easily when you play it. Bottom line, you’ll redoing heavy thinking both in and out of combat. Nothing must be wasted. Every decision and move counts. Even the paths you take on your journey, safe, normal and dangerous matters. Tactical gamers and players with some intelligence will thrive here. Off course no gamer is even close to X35’s intelligence.

Overall Fuga: Melodies of Steel is a fantastic game. Graphics, sounds, story, emotions, investment, decisions and deepness of strategies are all very good. The animations of the Taranis are weak though. There’s seriously more to the strategies. There’s the link attacks which are powerful and must be unlocked through a bond between characters and then charged up. Then there’s ‘Hero mode’. This is where things get real crazy. Maybe we will go over more of this stuff another time. Fuga: Melodies of Steel is available on the Xbox Game Pass right now. Fuga: Melodies of Steel isn’t normally our type of game but this game has been a real treat for sure. X35 Earthwalker is invested. There you go. We tried to keep this short. Fuga: Melodies of Steel is worth checking out if you have the brains for it.
