Black widow: Recharged is an action retro twin stick shooter game developed by ‘Adamvision Studios‘ and ‘SneakyBox‘ and published by ‘Atari‘. Black Widow: Recharged is said to be coming out the 28th of October 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. We have never heard of this game before. Let’s take a look.
Black widow: Recharged, like other old retro arcade style games is very simple to understand. You are the big spider, let nothing touch you while you blast everything out of existence. All the action takes place on a web and many different threats enter and roam around. We thought insects and critters get stuck in web… oh well. In case you couldn’t tell, Black ‘widow: Recharged is a modernised classic game. Old classic from the past but upgraded. The old school fans should love this.
So let’s quickly go over what’s different. The obvious is that the controls have been updated making them smooth and definitely the the visuals. There’s loads of power ups like the spread shots, fear which traps all enemies in your web and there’s even explosive shots for that firepower. The cash you can pick up to spend on power ups can also be used to charge up a powerful web blast attack. It’s a big cone shaped blast. Very useful. Couple of stuff going on here.
Black Widow: Recharged a series of challenges. 30 challenges to be precise. Said top be very difficult. We don’t believe them though. There’s leaderboards too, for competitive reasons. there’s country global leaderboards too. So you can see which nation is doing the best or sucks at black widow: Recharged.
We checked out some Black widow: Recharged gameplay and it’s what we expected. Keep your eyes out for enemies coming in from the edges, kill enemies as fast as possible and collect the cash. There’s music done by megan mcduffee. The game isn’t anything crazy at all. Just another arcade style game with fast paced action, colours, flashy stuff and everything modern. Looks cool.
Overall Black Widow: Recharged looks like a cool game.m It’s simple and gets straight into the action. Don’t forget about the score. These arcade games are all about the score. There isn’t much else to say but that it does look like a good game. The developers Adamvision Studios and SneakyBox have done a good job from what we have seen. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Black Widow: Recharged do. Now Black widow: Recharged may have been modernised but it’s still too outdated for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
The Riftbreaker is a new base building survival game developed by ‘EXOR Studios‘ and published by ‘Surefire games‘. The Riftbreaker is said to be coming out the 14th of October 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. The Riftbreaker definitely got our attention. Let’s take a look.
The Riftbreaker simply is about an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful and advanced mech suit (they call it mecha-suit). Like Samus Aran, the it’s a woman in the powerful mech suit. She is captain Ashley S. Nowak. The Riftbreaker is all about that survival and base building. So go out there do your research in the field, collect samples and invent new things with survival as your top priority on an alien planet called galatea 37. How did you get there? A one way portal (one way).
The mission in The Riftbreaker is to create and build a base that has the means to allow travel back to earth. Basically become a two way portal. This off course won’t be easy as galatea 37 (the planet) is alien inhabited and some of these aliens are very hostile and dangerous. As in trying to kill you. Your actions on the planet will of course draw attention. The player must venture out and explore the planet in her mech suit, which she calls ‘Mr Riggs’. Extract resources and even capture certain specimens. Aliens might show up. This mech suit isn’t just samples and research. It’s fully equipped for combat and can handle the toughest and most harsh environmental conditions.
This isn’t just a base building survival game. There’s also action and role playing game elements. The mech suit can be equipped with a flamethrower for deep frying aliens. There’s a minigun which off course shreds and trashs all who stands in it’s way. There’s off course energy blades because why not? It’s a futuristic high tech mech suit. It demands energy based weapons. There’s even mortar shells that you can fire at a distance to bring that area of effect damage. There’s even more technology and equipment that the mech suit can get to bring the combat to the enemy. Now off course, there are limits though.
So lets sum up a bit here concerning The Riftbreaker. You are primarily focusing on base building but you must venture out to do research and gain the knowledge to build a base that allows two way portal transportation while defending yourself from hordes of enemies north outside in the field and back at the base itself. You need to build defence towers, erect walls and place gates to protect and defend and stay alive. Sounds simple. Sounds a bit too simple right now. We hope that changes fast.
We checked out some The Riftbreaker gameplay and it’s what we expected for the most part. We like that the attacks on your base from the horde of enemies get bigger each and every day. Eventually you face thousands. So the sooner you complete your mission, the better. How you build matters. You can get tactical with the base building. You can build with the walls to make a maze to stall the horde and set them up. We like the variety of aliens you can encounter during your expeditions out there but we hope they have variety when it comes to base defence as well. The horde better not just be simple enemies. Variety means more strategic builds are required.
Overall The Riftbreaker looks like a very good game indeed. There’s a lot we like about it. We like the whole concept here with the base building and defence while also being part of the action and getting out there. The game looks very good graphically. The visuals are very good too. So much colours and the environment definitely looks like an alien planet. There’s so much to say but we will leave this here. The developers ‘EXOR Studios’ have done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to this game. Now The Riftbreaker may have scientific technology and an advanced mech but those things are too primitive for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Hell Let Loose is a World War 2 first person shooter multiplayer game developed by ‘Black Matter‘ and published by ‘Team17‘. Hell Let Loose is said to be coming out Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC on the 5th of October 2021. Hell Let Loose has to offer a lot to get our interest. There’s a lot of war games. Let’s take a look.
Hell Let Loose is suppose to be the World War 2 style. So expect old sandbags, expect old guns, expect old tanks, cheap helmets and stuff like that. Hell Let Loose is big 100 player battles. 50 vs 50. So these are big battles for sure. Players will be everywhere. Seems like Hell Let Loose wants to truly represent World War 2. They did say “You’ve never played World War 2 the way it was meant to be played”. So already gave themselves something to be measured by.
We know that Infantry, artillery and tanks are the main forces here in Hell Let Loose. These matter greatly. We also know that Hell Let Loose is also about strategic resource management too. This hasn’t been explained much but we can imagine that players will have limited resources to spend on tanks, types of troops and off course artillery. So there must be the ability to earn resources too or maybe it’s handed out in time. We have our own questions and need to learn some stuff before the interest can build.
We checked out some Hell Let Loose gameplay and it’s what we expected from a World War 2 multiplayer game. Old style, straight up fights gameplay. We like how the explosions look from bombing runs and artillery. Those look good. It seems like players die real fast in this game which would make sense. Like the old ghost recon game where you died from a bullet or two. Soldiers charging in, tanks on tank violence, using rocket launchers and covering fire. Just looks like another war game so far.
Overall Hell Let Loose just looks like another war game. There are multiple big war games with big battles like battle royal and big open battlefields. We definitely need to see more and get more information concerning Hell Let Loose. We want huge battles with tactical might. Tanks need be legit game changers and multiple troop types to handle different situations like vehicles. Will there be call in abilities? The developers ‘Black Matter’ have done an alright job so far. Now Hell Let Loose may have 50 vs 50 gameplay but those numbers aren’t enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Lost in Random is an action adventure game developed by ‘zoink‘ and ‘thunderful‘ and published by ‘Electronic Arts‘. Lost in Random is said to be coming out the 10th of September 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Lost in Random is out here with a very strange world with strange rules. Let’s take a look.
Lost in Random is truly a strange but mystical world. The story is very interesting. There was a queen who is described as a mad queen. She controlled a mysterious black dice. She made a rule that every child of Random must roll the dice on their 12th birthday. This one roll decides everything. What number you get decides where you must stay for the rest of your life. For example a 1 means you go to one croft which is a tough place as it’s described as living a life of struggle. Getting a 3 and you go to threedom, which is a “chaotic realm destroyed by civil war”. Get a six and you get to live a life of luxury in the queens dark palace. Well that’s what you’ve been told anyways. X35 Earthwalker don’t trust her.
In Lost of Random, players control Even who has a sister named Odd. See all the many number references yet? They got separated at the roll of the dice. Odd got a 6 and so had to go. Even didn’t get a six. A year later, Even got a strange signal. What does it mean? Even doesn’t know. Maybe it’s from Odd and she’s in trouble. So Even sets out. Follows the signal and ends up at a mysterious place called… the valley of dice… where she found a living dice. This dice has amazing powers like altering the world around them and even mess with time. So yeah, Even and the living dice whom she named Dicey are on an adventure.
Players will off course have to travel to and explore the 6 realms. One real for each number on the dice which are conveniently named after the numbers too. Exploration is a part of Lost of Random. Players will ned to look around to find clues, find secrets and solutions. Even will encounter multiple citizens who are off course quite different, especially depending on which realm you find them. Someone in Onecroft might be miserable while someone in threedom might be heartless.
We checked out some Lost in Random gameplay and it’s not exactly what we expected. The enemies in this game definitely look evil. It’s the queens army. Combat is all about the dice. Build up energy and let dicey roll. Then decide your actions from that. You must be ready to switch things up at any time. Collect cards to build a deck and use them to your advantage. Some cards grant new powers and attacks. Some cards work very well together for combos and maximum potential. You can even get a bomb to deal with grouped up enemies. Oh and make sure to complete the quests you find in Lost in Random. They help out citizens and help break Random’s curse.
Overall Lost in Random looks like an alright game so far. The story is the best part of this game. The story is an excellent for us but thew rest of the game doesn’t appeal to us as much. Lost in random isn’t simple though. Talking with the citizens and completing their quests have “branching dialogue options” which allows for more information concerning them and the world. The graphics are a weird style but they done it very well. We like the world design here, it’s excellent. After the story, next interested in the combat. Will need to learn more. The developers ‘zoink‘ and ‘thunderful’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Lost in Random accomplishes in the gaming industry.
Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is a arcade action platformer game developed and published by ‘Capcom‘. Let’s just say this right now. Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is fantastic, brilliant and worth your time. Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is a brutally difficult game. If you plan to take this game on then keep that warning in mind. Let’s take a look.
Let’s get this out of the way. X35 Earthwalker not only beat Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection but 100% it too. This was done on the Nintendo Switch. X35 Earthwalker is the only gamer that we know who has done this on a pure Legend difficulty run which means you don’t lower the difficulty to beat a specific level or part. 100%-ing this game was too painful. There’s two specific levels in the shadow versions that brought the vast majority of the pain. Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is cheap and we aren’t talking about price. This game is cheap in terms of how unfair it is. This was all done ON PURPOSE. Some gamers of lower intellect say that Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is badly made or some parts weren’t made well but actually those things they are talking about were designed that way intentionally to troll the players. Capcom are a bunch of dirty trolls when it comes to this game and it shows and makes players suffer. More on that later though.
Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is what fans of the series would expect and appreciate. There has been Ghosts n’ Goblins, Ghouls n’ Ghosts (the best one), Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts and Ultimate Ghosts n’ Goblins. This is known as the probably the hardest video game series in existence. X35 Earthwalker has beaten this series. We can say that Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is the hardest of them all. The others are easy compared to it. We are saying all this to give gamers an idea of how hard this game is and what you bums are getting yourselves into. So yeah you Ghouls n’ Ghosts fans will definitely be happy with this game for sure. If you hate it, it’s mostly because you suck at the game. Now the tradition of beating the game twice is still there. Going through the game once is 50% of the game. You only truly beat the game when you go through it TWICE. It’s been that way for every game in the series except Ultimate Ghosts n’ Goblins but it had a huge twist. This is where youtubers like ‘ericvanwilderman’, ‘ryukahr’ and ‘darksydephil’ have ALL FAILED. These guys beat all the levels ONCE on legend difficulty and then bailed like cowards. This means they didn’t beat the game. They didn’t get the main ending or true ending either. Nothing. They folded. So X35 Earthwalker is better than all of them.
Now the big difference here with Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is magic. Yes there was magic in Ultimate Ghosts n’ Goblins but it’s way bigger here. You got to collect the umbral bees to return to the umbral tree to get magic. These magics are game changers. Very powerful. Players will need these to truly beat the game. We love the big variety of magic here and what is available. You’ve got flame walls to cover you from ground based enemies. You’ve got passive upgrade magic like kitted out which lets you hold multiple weapons. There’s magic like transmigifrog which turns enemies into… well… frogs. Off course the iconic lightning magic is here so you can blast them all away… no team rocket. In most parts magic makes the game easier while in possibly two areas it feels like it’s a necessity. Concerning the youtubers we mentioned earlier we did notice they relied too heavily on magic while one did gorgon spam which is lame. The gorgon magic is like the cheapest magic in the game. It turns all small to medium sized enemies into stone. They can’t move or hurt you. Not only that, there’s a chance that when you kill them while stoned (get it) they drop items including armour. It’s overall the best magic in the game. Our free tip to all players who want to 100% the game and get magic quick. You have to aim for the umbral bee net magic. That magic will save you soooooo much pain and troubles. Just get it. Shut up! Don’t argue with us, just get the net and thank us later.
The bosses are big but not a big deal for the most part. Most players agree that the hard parts of Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection are the levels but the bosses are easy in comparison. The bosses are easy. The only one that gives real problems is cerberus. He has the most unpredictable and random actions. It can go so wrong very easily. The others have a more fixed way of beating them. The Bosses are basically remakes of the original bosses from the previous games. Fun fact the cyclops originally was called a unicorn in the first game. These boss fights are good fun though. In terms of difficulty from hardest to easiest we would say: cerberus, shielder, dragon then cyclops.
The design style of Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection game looks very nice indeed. We like how the game looks. It isn’t what we wanted though. We don’t think this is the best style for this game but we certainly appreciate all the work that went into it. As we said before it looks good. The music is very good and we like the variety they got going on. The Execution Grounds music might be our favourite and then Crystalline City.
The levels are designed very well in Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection. There’s so much to say about the levels. There’s so much reference and designs done to pay respects to the original games. With zone 1 & 2 the bottom levels are based on Ghosts n’ Ghouls while the top levels are based on Ghosts n’ Goblins. These levels are made with difficulty in mind. The levels constantly spawn many enemies. They never stop, forcing players to move quick but you can’t rush though as that leads you into all the traps. Some levels have areas where you reach a specific spot and then numerous enemies spawn. The developers Capcom are real trolls here. The worst we’ve seen. There are some spots like by a jump where a specific enemy will ALWAYS spawn just to meet you where you would land if you jumped. There’s multiple moments like this.
There’s a part in hellfire hamlet where it looks safe but a Fire Fennec will always land there and knock you. You aren’t safe there. There’s even a cursed moment in Cavern of the Occult, the shadow version, where at the very end, after you’ve struggled so hard to get there (hardest part of the game for us), you have to jump of the stone dragon and land on solid ground. The developers double layered the troll here. First there’s a drawing, an exact copy of the landing area in the background but earlier. It looks exactly like it but slightly darker so players jump thinking it’s the right time but it leads to death. That’s the first part. The second part is worse. After you fall for the first troll (which we know you did) and try again you jump to land on the safe ground, except a plant monster pops up basically at the edge waiting to knock you back into the bottomless pit to die. How horrible. piece of crap scumbag move capcom. You scumbags. Expect trolls and things to ruin you.
We do like that there’s a good amount of variety in Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection. We like that weapons seem more balanced than previous games. These weapons have their moments and reasons for using them. We have tried all and enjoy them all for the most part. We really like the hammer as well and it’s satisfying to kill many enemies be untouchable and even kill bosses with it but it’s sill the worst weapon overall in the game. Now Let’s talk a bit about the negatives of this game. Back to the weapons. The developers haven’t learnt from previous games. Everyone knows that the daggers (according to official booklets from previous games they are swords) are the best. No debate needed. They should have mixed things up. Unless you have the kitted out passive upgrade you can only have one weapon. The only weapon everyone would pick and it’s the one you truly only need is the daggers. That’s bad design. Like for example why would you pick the lance over the daggers? Exactly, never. No one we’ve seen online pick lance over daggers either. Balance the weapons to make it so that players really have to decide at times what’s best for what’s going on.
Second complaint is how the levels get locked away after you’ve beaten the game completely as in the shadow levels. The first time makes sense as you are sent back to the start to go through the levels again but in shadow mode. After you’ve beaten the shadow mode levels why do they lock away the levels again? That’s a dumb move. We already beat the game… relax for a moment. The third complaint is that when you beat a level more than once skulls will appear next to the name of the level. These skulls make the level harder. We believe the maximum is two skulls. It could be three though. When two skulls are there, the levels have more aggressive spawns, there’s therefore more enemies. We can’t control this at all. This is a problem because when X35 Earthwalker first went through all the levels, all was well but then he entered levels again to find the umbral bees and black chest. Then he beat the shadow versions of the levels, which forced him to play through them all again to unlock the levels so he can go for the umbral bees and black chests AGAIN. By this time the levels got skulls. This means when trying to beat the hell holes, and find all the collectibles, X35 had to do that with a harder version of the level. That’s not fair. This whole game isn’t fair so that’s saying something. The fourth complaint would be the Red Arremer final secret magic where you transform into Red Arremer. It’s inferior to the real thing. You can’t fly forever like the actual demons, you have limited mobility and it’s not fun to play as. We rather be Arthur than red arremer which shouldn’t be the case. It’s a let down. Our big award for getting all the umbral bees is a lame red arremer form. Not happy. The fish complaint are the actual red arremers themselves. They are too hard to beat. We found a way to beat them but it isn’t guaranteed. There are some places where you can’t use the technique. Lightning magic level 3 is the best solution to those demons but that’s end game when you have loads of umbral bees. When everyone first faced the red arremer no one knew what to do, even the seasoned ghouls n’ ghosts veterans were like how do you kill this guy.
Now to be positive again here’s some more stuff we truly like. We like that Ghosts n’ Goblins has good stuff from the previous games like level design from the first two games. Upgraded weapons due to having special armour just like Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts. In order to get the true ending and real final boss you need to collect all of the demon orbs just like needing to get all the rings in Ultimate Ghosts n’ goblins. The special armour you get as a reward for truly beating the game which includes beating all hell holes, collecting all demon orbs, beating the final true boss and getting the true ending. This special armour actually makes you invincible. Enemies can’t beat you. Falling in bottom pits and falls can still kill you but no enemy can kill you. You can’t get killed. It’s awesome. Now that’s a good reward. We liked that they kept the arcade feeling of the game. We do care about the score and getting the items for points. The magics are versatile and fun to use allowing for different tactics. We liked the challenges set for players in this game. They are all fair and doable but are actually challenging. When you complete them all, you feel real good for sure.
Overall Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is a fantastic game. You will hate the game during some parts and you will completely disown the game and say you’ve never heard of it when trying to 100% it but it’s great fun. We have watched many gamers, some of which are actually skilled, fail and die many times in a single level. Like over 100 or even 200 deaths on the first few levels. It’s so tough that not even ‘ericvanwilderman’, ‘ryukahr’ and ‘darksydephil’ can beat this game on legends difficulty. Remember that going through the levels once isn’t beating the game. It’s the best game in the ghouls n’ ghosts series yet easily. It didn’t go for innovation like Ultimate Ghosts n’ Goblins but decided to stay to the original style which off course worked out very well here. There’s so much more we can easily say about this game but we have to end it here. It’s long enough as it is. Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection is currently one of the best games of 2021 easily and an easy 10/10. Play it… unless you suck. Now Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection may be 10/10 but it’s not perfect unlike… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Greak: memories of azur is a side scrolling platform action game developed by ‘navegante entertainment’ and published by ‘Team17‘. Greak: memories of azur is said to be coming out 17th of August 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Greak: memories of azur has sibling teamwork. Let’s take a look.
Greak: memories of azur is set in the lands of Azur. There’s three siblings: Greak, Adara and Raydel. Two brothers and a sister. Players will control these guys. One at a time off course. Basically an invasion is going on. A faction called the Urlag. Basically the Urlag is fighting a magical race called courine. The courine are losing their home lands. So it’s a desperate and dangerous situation.
Greak: Memories of Azur is about the three siblings. Greak is the courine and so he uses magical abilities and attacks. His sister Adara also comes off as magical but possible the most mobile of the three. Lastly Raydel is what you’d expect from the big brother. He is mainly strength, even wielding a sword and shield. You can always count on big bro right. Greak: Memories of Azur allows players to switch between Greak, Adara, and Raydel at any moment so you can use their abilities to your advantage either in combat of platforming around the land. Players like freedom.
We checked out At first it is not so in Greak: Memories of Azur. At the start you control Greek and his first goals to reunite with Adara and Raydel, help them out in their different situations and then work as team to escape. Greak: Memories of Azur is hand drawn art and animations. It looks very good and runs smoothly too. That’s always great to see. So imagine the performance on the best console the Xbox Series X.
We checked out some Greak: Memories of Azur gameplay and it’s what we expected. What we find funny is that the Greak, Adara and Raydel plan to escape the lands of Azur by “building a zeppelin piece by piece.” That sounds so silly but we like different things and want to see that work. We like Raydel the most so far and his shield which he can use to even block beams to allow others to pass through. The enemies are sort of disappointing though. We hope they become more cool and stand out. There must be a bigger difference between between Adara and Greak.
Overall Greak: Memories of Azur looks like a good game. We like what we see but we want more. It’s not a big enough scale for what’s happening in the lore, like oh we don’t know, an invasion. It’s not active enough. The graphics style is nice but the graphics and visuals themselves are excellent. The developers ‘navegante entertainment’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear out for this game. Now Greak: Memories of Azur may have an invasion but it’s far too weak for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a 2D action Role Playing Game developed by ‘Live Wire, Adglobe‘ but published by ‘Binary Haze Interactive‘. Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights came out the 22nd of June 2021 on the Nintendo Switch and PC but 29th of June 2021 on the Xbox Series X. Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights has quite a lot going on. Let’s take a look.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is all about a girl named Lily. Lily is the last surviving priestess. What happened? Basically it’s the rain. Yes rain. Not normal rain though. This rain is dangerous and can even turn people into the undead. Lily wakes up in a church (Best place to be is church. Facts) but has no knowledge and memory of recent things that took place. So off course your mission is to find the cause of this rain and hopefully stop it.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is off course already out so you can literally see the game for yourself so we are keeping it short. It’s more than just the undead. The rain turned all living things into monsters. There’s all kinds of dangers here. They are called the Blighted. Players off course need to explore this entire world. The place is called ‘Land’s End’. Very friendly. There is some variety as there’s a massive castle, a submerged forest and even an underground cavern that’s apparently contaminated and sealed off. Isn’t that suspicious. It would be a shame if we had to explore that place, oh wait.
We checked out some Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights gameplay and it’s what we expected for the most part. We like that Lily doesn’t actually fight herself. She summons the spirits of the undead who got purified. One has a sword and fights like a warrior, another has a bow shooting projectiles while another is sort of like a mage that shoots fire balls sort of. They do have names like Umbral Knight, Gerrod, the elder warrior, Dark witch Elaine and more. They fight for her. So timing attacks, diving out of the way and using each summoned spirit optimally is essential in this game.
Overall Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights seems like a really cool game and the combat is different. We definitely like the art style and the graphics are excellent. The animations are excellent. The animations of 2D games have really stepped up. There’s a lot of details in this game too, including on the enemies. The game looks like it will get real difficult which is a good thing. The developers ‘Livewire and adglobe’ did a very good job here. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear out for Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. Now Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights may have killer rain but that rain don’t mean a thang when it comes to… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Kitaria Fables is an action adventure role playing game with farming elements. It’s developed by ‘Twin Hearts‘ and published by ‘PQube‘. Kitaria Fables isa said to be coming out the 3rd September 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Don’t let Kitaria Fables fool you. This is a serious game. Let’s take a look.
Kitaria Fables is set in the world of Kitaria where animals behave like people. Walking around, talking, got jobs, are soldiers etc. You’re in Paw village where you are… farming. Farming? That doesn’t sound like a hardened tough warrior for an adventure but hey it’s a job. So yes, you do farming, you attend to and grow your crops for money and survival. You also can get ingredients for cooking and meals. There’s crafting elements in Kitaria Fables too. Kitaria Fables is an action adventure game with Role playing games and farming elements. Sounds very interesting. We like it.
Kitaria Fables is a big adventure remember. There’s an actual danger and threat to the world of Kitaria. There’s a growing darkness. The areas around Paw Village are getting “increasingly hostile.” In fact the empire has actually called you to investigate. So clearly we are more than just farmers. You will travel the world and reach various different locations. Expect to come across and dive into forests, mountains, swamps and even deserts. We do like the variety but hope they stand out well. So explore to find and discover new characters who can be friends and of course new gear and weapons. Speaking of weapons.
There are real weapons in Kitaria Fables. Melee weapons like swords are here and we have seen a few designs. Some look cool. There’s projectile weapons too like bows. There are spells too. You can freeze enemies to restrict their movements or maybe take a dangerous enemy out of the equation. Maybe just burn your enemies for that additional damage. We know there’s more spells to acquire and weapons which means more options for combat styles.
What’s interesting for us at X35 Earthwalker is what kind of enemies does Kitaria Fables have. From what we have seen there’s humanoid or should we say animaloid enemies. Animals that wield weapons like bows and melee. So maybe there’s different armies that you need to watch out for. In the forest area there are shield bugs. This shows the areas have their own unique enemies. We did see a forest golem which was the coolest thing so far. After all magic is in Kitaria Fables so magical or mystical beings like golems makes sense.
What’s really awesome though is that Kitaria Fables has local co-op! Something more games NEED to HAVE! This means double damage, double attacks and equipping yourselves in such a way as to compliment each other. One can focus on freezing while the other can burn enemies instead. So yeah, grab your friend, or family and… well… water crops together… right?
We checked some Kitaria Fables gameplay and it’s what we expected. It gives us an animal crossing feeling for sure… but except there’s actual combat, monsters etc. We like that after your big dangerous adventure, you come back to a quiet simple farming. We hope to see more of what Kitaria has to offer. The graphics are good for what it is and what design this game is going for.
Overall Kitaria Fables looks like a very good game. Definitely deceptive at first appearance but it’s a real adventure game. Real weapons, real story, a real enemy/threat and many characters all with your own plots of land to do what you do best… farming. We like the cute but serious design that Kitaria Fables has. The developers ‘Twin Hearts’ have done a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to seeing Kitaria Fables come out. Now Kitaria Fables may be cute but that doesn’t fool… the ‘Earth Walk!’
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is an awesome game from the amount we have played so far. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is an xbox exclusive. It’s a action mech simulation game where yo control different mechs and battle against other machines, vehicles and mechs in many missions. We haven’t played that long but sports far yes, this game is awesome. So we wanted to say a bit about this. Let’s take a look.
Firstly we must explain that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries wasn’t exactly what we thought it would be. We got some stuff wrong. We thought there was a multiplayer where players faced off and you had to earn the means to deploy and use mechs in the battlefield. That part was wrong. We were right about everything else though. The vehicles, aircrafts, mechs, battles and there is a co-op mode where you can play and work with others in the missions using the mechs and pilots the main player has available. We do hope they work on a straight up multiplayer battle mode.
We at X35 Earthwalker already produced a gameplay video of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. It contained the tutorial which had quite a bit of action. Wow have since then gotten way better at the game, acquired multiple mechs, got two pilots and travelled around quite a bit. There is quite a bit to do but doesn’t feel like it though. In the earlier parts of the game you feel restricted. Your first big mech the ‘Centurion’ has weapons that you can’t really change. We got new weapons but the mech isn’t able to wield them. What a mech can use is based on their design. We got a new mech which is smaller and weaker and it can hold the new weapons but one at a time. The customisation of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries needs to be stepped up. There’s a weight limit for each mech, so players better not cross that limit. We want more freedom with the mechs.
Now that’s also a big plus about MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. Its very realistic. Your mechs having weight. The design of the mech dictates what it can be equipped with. Repairs and equipment swapping takes days to complete. Also, your mech can lose parts and limbs if damaged too much. You can even lose a whole weapon forever if for example the arm it was on got blown off. How realistic MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is is a strong positive. You haver details and lots of information on your screen. Your HUD is loaded like it would be controlling a giant combat mech. Even the controls are so weird. The MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries controls aren’t bad… but they are very weird. You control the bottom half of the mech and the top half separately. So you control the legs to go where you want, change direction, build up speed and even brake when needed while you control the top half to adjust your view and aim… all at the same time! It isn’t easy. You need to practice, unless you are X35 Earthwalker (which you ain’t) who is the greatest gamer ever and gets use to it almost instantly.
Once you are on the battle field things get real in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. You will encounter stationary defences, small vehicles like tanks which can be equipped to do different things like artillery, long range harassment or close range damage, aircrafts with heavy weapons, and off course mechs who are the biggest threats. The others are straightforward to fight but mechs have options. You can target the limbs or parts of mechs for different effects. Taking out a mechs leg will prevent it from moving. Destroying an arm would off course prevent it from firing whatever weapon was carried on that arm. If you straight up destroy the head/cockpit then you kill them in the fastest way possible. It’s tactical. You need to pick your fights. Decide whether to fight close up or keep your distance. Never be outnumbered in a mech fight. So bring allies. When you bring in ally pilots you can actually have a squad on a mission but be careful… they can die as well and that means you lose them. Pilots over time with successful missions can get stronger. So losing a veteran pilot is a big loss. Keep them alive in MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries.
We have lots to say about MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries but that’s all for now. We are happy to play more and hopefully get more options as we progress. By the way, the mech market sucks all kinds of crap. They never have anything good in there. Super expensive garbage. We at X35 Earthwalker hope the developer eventually brings out a full fledged multiplayer battle mode. Now MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries may have advanced big mechs but those things would all be destroyed by… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is a action adventure first person shooter game developed and published by ‘Techland‘. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is said to be coming out the 7th of December 2021 on Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. Dying Light 2: Stay Human has a big number of gamers looking out for it. So what’s new? Let’s take a look.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is set in a place called ‘the city’. Is this Harran? Not clear but it could be. We know that the events in Harran were over 20 years ago. Basically the virus completely won and it’s ruined the whole world. The city is one of the last places left for humans. Even in such a serious doomed situation, humanity still wants to fight each other and be evil scum bags, instead of working together. Typical right? But hey, we can still run, jump, swing and parkour our troubles away. Players control a guy called Adan Coldwell (last name most likely is wrong) who basically wants answers concerning his past. He ends up in this city.
Come on everyone. It’s Dying Light. We all should know what to expect at this point. There’s going to be zombies, some form of super mutated creatures and violent humans as enemies. In Dying Light 1 there was those super mutated that came after you at night and was a real problem. So we expect Dying Light 2: Stay Human to have an even worst super mutated enemy otherwise Dying Light 2: Stay Human would be a fail by default. We can also expect parkour, running, jumping, swinging, sliding and pulling yourself up ledges etc. Dying Light was already serious so we expect more for this big sequel. So what will they do?
We have seen the three factions in the city and this is how you know the humans here and are stupid. There’s the ‘survivors’ who build many safe zones and are very adaptable to whatever situation that comes their way. ‘peace keepers’ who are basically;ly soldiers who are want to create, keep and enforce law… even on those who don’t agree. ‘renegades’ are basically ex prisoners who want total dominance and control over the whole city. It’s clear who sucks and who seems more normal. ‘Renegades’ are dangerous criminals, ‘peace keepers’ are dictators and ‘survivors’ just sound like people who want to live. We aren’t impressed with the three groups but we do like that they are clearly distinguishable from each other by their uniforms. We have high expectations for Dying Light 2: Stay Humans.
We checked out some Dying Light 2: Stay Human and it’s what we expected which isn’t a good thing here. Sure they polished some stuff like deflecting and blocking. You can dash to evade and dodge attacks. There’s mechanisms like jump pads for extra height. The ability to roll on landing to reduce damage, fast swapping and use of items, weapons and crafted stuff. The combat is much better and way faster. We like the dangers of sneaking into nests to get some rewarding goodies but you have to be patient, quiet and keep cool. Huge risk (so they say) but big reward. There’s more to do and there’s more layers to the features in the game which is all very good. We didn’t care about Dying Light 1 and haven’t seen anything to make us care about Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
Overall Dying Light 2: Stay Human seems like a very good game but we aren’t excited. We wanted more. We wanted something different added in as well. Dying Light 2: Stay Human does look fun and clearly better than the first game. We like what we see. We like that there’s parachuting, basically, to help traverse around the city at least from great heights. There’s quite a bit to talk about but we will keep this short. The developers ‘Techlands’ have done a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to just hear what happens with Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Now Dying Light 2: Stay Human might have the city but even it isn’t good enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
