Necromunda: Hired Gun is a new fast paced first person shooter game developed by ‘Streum On studio‘ and published by ‘Focus Home Interactive‘. Necromunda: Hired Gun is said to be coming out the 1st of June 2021 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. Necromunda: Hired Gun is suppose to be a smaller fast game for fans. Let’s take a look.
Necromunda: Hired Gun is all about this hired gun. That’s you the player by the way. You are in Necromunda. A crappy place full of nothing but crime and corruption. In this world you have to be merciless, which the hired gun is. Simple life really. You see the bounties, happy with the price and then go to get them. The hunt is on. Don’t feel bad as they are gangsters and mutants, some of which are notorious. Get to it.
One more thing we didn’t mention. There’s a dog. Your dog. You have a loyal cyber dog that helps you track down and kill these targets. The dog is active too, as it’s capable of killing your targets itself as well. You ain’t so ordinary yourself either. Thanks to customisable augments, your body is enhanced allowing you to do certain things like leaping over large gaps and even run on walls. you’ve got a grapple hook for extra mobility and traversal options. So this isn’t just a straight up shooter.
We checked out some Necromunda: Hired Gun gameplay and it’s what we expected. Keep agile, keep moving and gun them all down as you make your way to the target. There’s loads of special effects and even some electric based attacks. There’s multiple types of enemies too, even foes with mechanical parts suits and enhancements which make them very difficult to take down. Knowing which enemy to take down first and prioritise is quite important here. The level design is cool and definitely looks like a futuristic but bummy looking location. Definitely a den for scum and low lives. You see factory looking areas for mass productions. Parts and scrap around showing that the locals and guys here are in business for sure. Supplying their crime. So yeah… kill them.
Overall Necromunda: Hired Gun looks like a smaller scale action game. You just get out there and destroy your foes casually and quickly. Even the official trailer had a narrator which made light of the situation and enemies. So this isn’t anything serious but more focused on humour and fun. We will have to get more information about Necromunda: Hired Gun. The developers ‘Streum On studio’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to see what goes on with this game. Necromunda: Hired Gun may have a loyal cyber-mastiff but that thing would run away from… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Lemnis Gate is a new turn-based combat strategy first person shooter game developed by ‘Ratloop games‘ and published by ‘Frontier Games‘. Lemnis Gate is said to be coming out in the third quarter of 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Lemnis Gate looked cool so we thought why not. Let’s take a look.
Lemnis game seems to be all about action. There’s no information concerning a story or anything. After all it is described by some as an arena shooter. So that’s the primary focus of the game. So it’s first person shooting, with heavy strategy, with different characters, multiple rounds all within a time loop. Yep, time loops.
Let’s explain this for you guys how Lemnis Gate works. As mentioned before the match take place in time loops. It’s your turn. You have 25 seconds to do what you want. So either move your character to another location, set something up, prepare or attack someone. The other players get their turn to do the same. Once everyone is done, the next 25 second round begins. Now the actions and results of the first round can be seen and carried out. Then you take another action in response to what has already happened or for what will happen or dealing with the current state. The game describes this as “Each of the five rounds is your chance to alter the timeline as past, present, and future converge.”
What’s real cool is that Lemnis Gate isn’t strictly players only. You can literally control the whole team of five yourself. Each operative by yourself. It’s called an auto co-op feature. There are different operatives who are also called heroes. They have their own abilities. Some of these abilities are like the slowing of time to make landing your shots easier, another ability is laying traps like toxic waste and even defensive abilities like “protective orbs” which can be used to help out yourself in the future. Remember there’s more.
We checked out some Lemnis Gate gameplay and it’s not what we expected at all. We aren’t surprised though. They claim this is turn based strategy and first person shooter action. So how would that work? It didn’t work here. We even checked the trailer and everything seems to be moving at the same time and it looks like a first person shooter only. Sure there are multiple rounds and see the let’s call them ghosts or different dimensions of operatives even after death continuing their action but it doesn’t look like it works right now. We need to see more. We at X35 Earthwalker can easily make this work but let’s see if they can do it. We need to see more.
Overall Lemnis Gate does look good concerning the operative designs, the visuals, the idea and the effects. We noticed that the operatives have their own loadouts as well as ability. It does seem like Lemnis Gate will be more about planning, tactics and abilities instead of just raw shooting skill. Again we will need to see how that works out. The developers ‘Ratloop games’ have so far done a alright job. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what else goes on with Lemnis Gate. Now Lemnis Gate might have time loops but those loops have no effect on… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Exophobia is a new First person shooter game developed by ‘Zarc Attack‘ and published by ‘PM Studios‘. Exophobia is said to be coming out the 5th of October 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Exophobia definitely has a retro inspired style. Let’s take a look.
The story in Exophobia is that you are a soldier of some sort and you wake up on a spaceship. Alone. Well you aren’t truly alone as on the spaceship has loads of alien soldiers. These alien soldiers are very hostile and will try to kill you. So off course you need to fight for your life. This means grab weapons, dodge incoming fire and shoot up some aliens. So yeah It’s a straight up classic first person shooter game. Run around and shoot.
Now just take a look at Exophobia. Check the trailer we placed at the bottom of this G-blog and straight away it’s style should remind you of a certain famous historical game. 5,4,3,2,1, times up. Ultimate DOOM. Off course. We see Ultimate DOOM here and that’s a good thing as majority would agree that it’s a very good game for sure. If Exophobia is anything like Doom then that alone is a selling point. Now off course Exophboia is their own game with their own settings, story, enemies and mechanics.
About the mechanics. We know that there are weapon upgrades. Something off course Ultimate DOOM didn’t have. These weapon upgrades have been described to “mix up your combat style” and even “uncover new areas”. This reminds us of progression in Metroid as in you can’t get up this ledge until you get double jump or the grapple beam. For Exophobia, we have seen what looks like explosive shots and even strong kinetic energy or force shots to destroy structures and create paths. We even saw grappling taking place too, so there’s clearly extra mobility and mechanics going on here. After all Exophobia needs to stand out.
We checked out some Exophobia gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. You can run, dash and even stun your enemies. Sprint is off course needed for some actions. The dash can be used for evading and some dangerous enemies require stuns to make beating them easier or maybe stun the dangerous enemy so you can handle the weaker ones. Exophobia with these mechanics and features allow for more tactics and strategies. It’s not just run around and shoot. There’s some thinking required for some encounters with the enemies. This is a good thing. It’s good to have to use your head in games. So there’s should be more going on than Ultimate DOOM. Now whether there are going to be secret areas and fake walls, we don’t know.
Overall Exophobia looks like a good game. The main problem we have is that the enemies aren’t as exciting as the ones in Ultimate Doom. It’s got more going on but doesn’t look as fun. The enemies also look too similar. They should add more enemies of variety. We did see worm creatures and machines but we are talking about the main enemies. Most common. The graphics and visuals are nice though for it’s style. The developers ‘Zarc Attack’ have done a good job with Exophobia so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for this one. Now Exophobia may have hostile alien soldiers but even those aliens are too scared to mess with… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Ghostwire: Tokyo is a new first person shooter action horror game developed by ‘Tango Gameworks‘ and published by ‘Bethesda‘. Ghostwire: Tokyo is said to be coming out in October 2021 on the PS5 and PC. Said to be coming out on Xbox Series X a bit later but that might change especially with the whole Bethesda being under Xbox now. Ghostwire: Tokyo definitely got our attention only recently. Let’s take a look.
Ghostwire: Tokyo is off course set in Tokyo (you dummy). You control a character who decides to remain behind in the city. What’s wrong with the city? Some mysterious major league disaster happened which resulted in 99% of the population to disappear without any heads up or explanation. There are clothes left behind though which prompts some theories but nothing concrete. You are here because a supernatural force, clearly evil shows up in the city. This could be responsible for what happened to the city. It’s the only lead you have. You aren’t here to talk though.
You are here to FIGHT! Remember? This force is evil. In Ghostwire: Tokyo you will be fighting numerous spirits, some are powerful but they al have their own supernatural powers. You must combat them with your own supernatural abilities or should we say “spectral” abilities. Also figure out what happened here concerning the disaster. Some Ghostwire: Tokyo mystery right here. Maybe this can be reversed? Strangely the evil spirits aren’t the only things here in the city. The ‘Visitors’ are here. A group, of what looks like losers to us, who wears Hannya masks. Another mysterious masked group huh.
In Ghostwire: Tokyo they aren’t just simple dumb mindless spirits though. They have variety and shouldn’t be taken as a joke (unless you are us… which you aren’t). We have three names so far: shiromuku, amewarashi and kuchisake. We’ve seen spirits that are humanoid and attack from the ground. Some fast and leap while other slowish like a zombie. Another looked like a flying pumpkin sack head which launched projectiles. We hope there is a bit more variety though for this type of action game. Ghostwire: Tokyo can easily benefit from having a big range of enemies to allow for a more strategic approach concerning their weaknesses and making more abilities more useful or even add more abilities.
We checked out some Ghostwire: Tokyo gameplay and it’s not exactly what we thought it was but it’s awesome. The graphics are excellent. Like go look up footage of the food in this game. Very detailed. The city looks very cool and dark. The effects and supernatural visual stuff happening is excellent and we like the smoothest of the combat and the creativity in the powers from fire blasts, to melt based attacks and the mobility. Ghostwire: Tokyo is looking quite special right now. It’s dark and horror but you get to fight back for real and that’s good.
Overall Ghostwire: Tokyo looks fantastic. We truly hope they expand and capitalise on the world they have here to bring out a bunch of new stuff that keeps things new, exciting and fresh. The developers ‘Tango Gameworks’ have done a fantastic job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to this game and will keep our eyes out for sure. Now Ghostwire: Tokyo may have the supernatural going on but it’s supernatural is only child’s play compared to the supernatural of… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Back 4 Blood is a new cooperative first person shooter game developed by ‘Turtle Rock Studios‘ and published by ‘Warner Bros Games‘. Back 4 Blood is said to be coming out 22nd of June 2021 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. You can describe this as a zombie game. This game looks like it has potential. Let’s take a look.
The creators of Left 4 Dead are behind Back 4 Blood. Also Turtle Rock Studios are the guys who made the awesome game ‘Evolved‘. So Back 4 Blood has a lot of minds and behind this one and the expectations are high. So the story here is basically the typical that there’s a serious infected horde of creatures out here and humanity is near extinction but conveniently a small group of humans are fighting back and out here trying to save humanity. Yet whole armies lose and get folded but four people and a guy with a sloppy mid section (his belly) can win but whatever.
Let’s go over Back 4 Blood this quickly. For starters most of the characters look like they could survive. Some look like complete losers but it makes sense that it’s random survivors as in they would look different to each other. There’s 8 characters to choose from, referred to as ‘Cleaners’. They are immune to the virus (off course they are). The missions are overall a simple format in a sense that it’s all about fighting off against a horde of enemies. Does reminds us of world war z in this regards. You must work together, stick together and cover each others backs as there are some mechanics that will mix things up and even ruin an entire mission. Many of you by now have seen some gameplay and so you know what to expect.
Your primary weapons in Back 4 Blood are guns and something for melee like a baseball bat, knife etc. Expect the typical arsenal of weapons like pistols, assault rifles and off course shotguns. Head shots are the key and best way to take down regular infected called ‘Sprinters’. They just run at you and try to swing and beat you to death. That’s right, there’s some variety to these infected creatures. Retches are the fat ones who create acid pools on the ground so common sense says don’t step in them. Bruisers are the big tall ones with a clearly mutated arm which they use to smash you around and crush you. Keep your distance. The Ogre is the big bad boss one. It’s huge, towers over you and has wide range sweeping melee attacks and can even throw a large projectile at you. Hockers are the annoying ones who likes to trap you and your allies leaving you vulnerable.
Here’s where some of the problems show up in Back 4 Blood. The bruisers also come straight for you and they become top priorities as they will destroy you if you get too close. Like with other infected Bruisers have weak points of their bodies which you need to hit to take them down efficiently. So accuracy is needed and not mad man spraying of bullets. You can easily run out of ammo. The Hockers are the worst as they fire ensnaring web like stuff that incapacitates you. They see to hit you from nowhere at times but oh boy the infected can sure hit you while you are trapped. You need an ally to come along and free you by melee-ing you. So make your shots count, aim for weak points, keep an eye on your team mates, stay away from bruisers and don’t step in pools of acid. Our main probably is the lack of variety of infected though. We hope there’s more that they haven’t shown yet. Games like this could easily benefit from a large variety of infected like ones but let’s see how they pull this off with their current cast.
There is some competitive stuff to Back 4 Blood as you can go against players. Either be human or the ridden and off course both sides have their own abilities and weapons. So it’s like Overrun in Gears of War Judgement where one side is human while the other is the Locust. Off course modes like this have a tough time balancing everything but they will learn as they go along. Do your best developers. The other thing is that. There’s also a card system for your characters that definitely mix things up. Get different builds all the time and work with what you got. We definitely like this mechanic as it adds more layers of strategy, options and tactical approaches to the different situations. Card builds are game changers and when done right definitely adds to the game.
We checked out some back 4 Blood gameplay and it’s exactly what we thought it would be. It’s the Left 4 Dead formula which many gamers enjoyed. Group of four, working together, shooting and fighting through a horde of infected creatures who are all out here ready to destroy all humans. If someone in your squad dies, you can bring them back. They show up glued to a wall and cannot get out. You must approach them and save them. Reminds us of the bring back system in Gears 5 in Escape mode for a dead teammate. Being careful with your ammo, finding awesome weapons during the mission. There was a powerful machine gun that literally was like the answer to these infected creatures. It was rapid fire, heavy destroying rounds and left nothing alive. Oh and rightfully so, friendly fire is a thing so don’t go unloading shotgun shells in the backs of your friends. It hurts. X35 Earthwalker once took a shotgun shot and it had no effect whatsoever. He actually didn’t know he was shot until he turned around.
Overall Back 4 Blood looks like it’s going to be a fun game for sure. We really enjoy multiplayer games, especially cooperative games. This looks like a casual shooter and survival against a horde. The popular fictional survival scenario. Causal on the surface but on the harder difficulties we know this game gets really hard to beat. We had hoped this game is very difficult and glad to hear that it is. It’s been positive reports s far and that’s good. The developers ‘Turtle Rock Studios’ have a done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye out for this game. Now Back 4 Blood may have dangerous infected but they are all fodder against… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Metal: Hellsinger is a new rhythm first person shooter game developed by ‘The Outsiders‘ and published by ‘Funcom‘. Metal: Hellsinger is said to be coming out in the year 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Some games have good music while others are all about the music. Kill to the beat. Let’s take a look.
Metal: Hellsinger keeps things simple when it comes to what the game is about. Players control what’s called the unknown who is part human and demon. This unknown is all about vengeance. So another angry character. You are in hell (rightfully so) and here blasting and fighting through hell and the many demons in your way. Destroy the demons and their leaders… all to the music.
The music mechanic is the best standing out point of Metal: Hellsinger. Do everything to the music. Metal music though. So expect things to be different and quite serious. We hope the music is actually good though. Not a fan of metal. The more in sync you are, the more damage you do to your enemies and the more intense the music gets. So listen to the music, get the rhythm and fire your weapons to the beat. Nice and simple. We don’t know how merciful the game is when it comes to the timing though.
The target of your revenge is referred to as the “red judge”. She is the main bad guy and you have to take her out. Now remember that you are fighting in hell apparently but there is a completely different design for it. Hell’s true name here is the infernal planes which is made up of thousands of hells. All bad. Each location is different have their own stuff going on and maybe own specific enemies. We like the different designs on hell. There’s a frozen world too so that’s cool. The developers must keep the variety going.
We checked out some Metal: Hellsinger gameplay and it’s not what we expected. It has a more DOOM feel. It’s about slaughtering all your enemies mercilessly. It is about revenge after all. Theres many weapons, enemies and around in this game. We know that there are bosses and killing them will discourage the hordes. There’s a wide range of weapon too. They each have their own ‘ultimate ability’ which are game changers. We definitely would like to see more gameplay and information concerning the enemies in the future. There’s also executions where you finish of a wounded enemy with some style. It really is about the music as killing and attacking to the beat gives you the most damage bonus a and gets the music to be real crazy.
Overall Metal: Hellsinger looks like a good game. It does what it says on the box. You move around, blast demon, maybe dance but timing your shots and attacks. The graphics aren’t excellent but still great and need to be improved. The sounds are alright but this game is still in development. So we expect it to get better. So run, gun, dance a little and have fun. The developers ‘The Outsiders’ have done a great job with this game. Now Metal: Hellsinger may have weapons and revenge but those certainly do not move… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Quantum Error is a new horror first person shooter game developed by ‘Teamkill Media‘. Quantum Error is said to be coming out in 2021 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. Quantum Error is looking serious right now and it plans to come in big. It’s been a while since we got a game like this. Let’s take a look.
Quantum Error is said in the year 2109 on earth. So ahead of us but not as far as Halo. Simply put a research facility called Monad Quantum got attacked by something unknown and now the whole facility is on fire. The facility is on lock down and a distress call was sent to the Garboa Fire department. You are Captain Jacob Thomas and was sent in by your Fire chief. You aren’t alone and have a crew, including your partner Shane Costa (he’s not a coffee). All you are there to do is save as many people as you can. Off course… it’s not that simple and things take a ‘dark’ turn. Brace yourself.
As you can tell from the trailer below that Quantum Error isn’t your average game. It feels good to see another game like this. What do we mean? Think about it. What other first person shooter game you know, that’s based in the future, got monsters, in a facility and really dark… Doom 3! When we saw this, Doom 3 came to mind almost immediately. Both games are scientific games too in some ways. Except it was Doom 3 resurrection of evil where you went in with a team but you got separated and killed off. Quantum Error has a good thing going on here and it has our attention already. Expect gameplay to be slow since you don’t know what’s in the dark.
Remember that Quantum Error is also described as a cosmic horror first person shooter game. We are seeing loads of scientific things and machinery. This game is set in the future and this is taking place in a research facility after all. so expect to see quantum science level stuff, powerful advanced machinery and stuff that is clearly sci-fi. Bullets; however still work the same. You see something dangerous, then shoot it. We saw the DOOM 3 standard arsenal as in the pistol, shotgun and machine gun. There will be more weapons and they need to be cool and have their own purpose.
We checked out some Quantum Error gameplay and it’s what we expected it would be. It’s mechanics are looking good and it’s still being worked on. The graphics need to look better and more detailed so we are hoping for that. We really liked the darkness mechanics of DOOM 3 so Quantum Error has something good to work with. They just need to understand the balance of darkness and how to work that with combat. We did see a thermal camera and the player using that as a way to see through the dark and shoot the pistol at the same time. We also hope there is a wide range of enemies as tat keeps things interesting.
Overall Quantum Error is looking like a good game. This is the type of game we have been waiting for. Good genre combination. Games like this need a good combination of jump scares and straight up dread. Doom 3 didn’t have the best balance of that. The developers ‘Teamkill Media’ did a good job with this game so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to this game. Now Quantum Error may have the right genre combo but that combo is no match for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Rainbow Six: Quarantine is new tactical first person shooter game developed and published by ‘Ubisoft’. Rainbow Six: Quarantine is said to be coming out in 2021 on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and PC. Rainbow Six Quarantine sounds very interesting and it seems like the enemies here are… how should we say… ‘out of this world’. Let’s take a look.
There isn’t that much to say about Rainbow Six: Quarantine. There is some stuff we do know about this game though. Rainbow Six: Quarantine is going to be completely different from Rainbow Six Siege. There is no two teams, defence and attack. It’s just a team of three going up against a whole horde of ‘out of this world’ enemies. There will be an actual story. There will be levels and survival is top priority. We also know that Rainbow Six: Quarantine is being developed by the Montreal branch of Ubisoft.
Enough with the secrecy. The enemies in Rainbow Six: Quarantine are aliens basically. Mutated alien parasite. They roll by infecting not just humans to be hosts but also the very environment itself. The enemy has been described as very dangerous and difficult. We can’t see how this enemy would be challenging because the Rainbow Six operators have certain set abilities, use guns and there are three of them to watch each others backs. Rainbow Six is set in a realistic world. So unless the alien parasites can do some real crazy then this game will be easy. Those disappointing. We don’t want easy games. We will have to see more to be sure though.
Off course there is no gameplay to view but here’s how they described the Rainbow Six: Quarantine experience. They said “Prepare to launch into tense, chaotic and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything, every time you step into Quarantine.” No offensive to the developers but normally when they write like this, it hardly is like how they said. We might get something that’s predictable. A number of games have failed in this area. We hope the developers actually pull it off.
Overall. Rainbow Six: Quarantine sounds like it will be a fun game but we don’t have high hopes for this. There’s a medium amount of room here for creativity and what they can do but will they do it? If only they had X35 Earthwalker to help them and instruct them. Come one devs, do your best and make this great. We at X35 Earthwalker hope this game does well. Now Rainbow Six: Quarantine may have alien enemies and a whole new game but none of this means anything to… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a new action First Person Shooter game developed by ‘Treyarch‘ supported by ‘Raven Software‘ but published by ‘Activision‘. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is said to be coming out November 13th 2020 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. It’s another Call of Duty game. We know what to expect but let’s hope this one has something going on for us. Let’s take a look.
Let’s get this out of the way first. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is another call of duty game. Most gamers should know what to expect. We have literally zero excitement for this game. From what we have heard and seen from most call of duty fans is that they don’t really care about the story (campaign). Multiplayer is where it’s at and then secondary it’s zombies. We expect people trying to drop shot, camp with snipers, spam the meta gun and hop/ jump around corners. We just hope Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has something that actually interests us.
Now concerning the campaign this is all the whole website had to say about. “players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters, and more.” This is literally all what the ENTIRE WEBSITE said concerning the campaign. So it’s taking a bit of a historical turn and players can expect to hear some maybe famous names. We have checked out some campaign gameplay and it definitely looks good and actioned packed. We don’t believe all the levels will be like that one but it definitely makes you want to see more. Since players will be in different parts of the world, we can expect a variety of environments and therefore hopefully different combat styles of the enemies. After all the countries do not fight the same way. Ask Vietnam (reference, if you know it you know it. if not then shame on you).
The multiplayer is where it’s at. The multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is similar to previous Call of Duty games which isn’t a bad thing at all. It works doesn’t it? Pick your weapon. The maps have loads of spots for hiding and cover. So the return of the campers. Sniper rifles are dangerous and off course can one shot you. The aiming feels easy right now. The beach level looks very cool. It has multiple levels, water, sand, boats, lights and it’s night time. Nice design from a visual perspective right now. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is sticking to it’s fast paced gameplay. Quick respawns and sadly even quicker to die. We’ve seen people spray someone and kill them within a second, not including headshots. If someone sees you and aims well, then expect death almost instantly. Not our style. You literally die so fast. So you can kill someone, then they know where you killed them from because of the death cam then you respawn so fast and could even respawn behind that person and get instant revenge. S far it’s standard Call of duty multiplayer. Nothing standing out. You can call in abilities and support, so make sure to earn those.
Zombies is back and that’s a good thing for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. If you don’t know what zombies is then basically you and a team (or alone) must try to survive against a horde of zombies. To overly simplify it. Zombies has some new stuff. For starters squads can be created across platforms and console generations. Not only that, you are awarded for playing as the battle pass is advanced through time spent in Zombies. Concerning the upgrades and perks, there is crafting of items and even field upgrades. Old one like speed cola and juggernog are here too. Now about those weapons. All weapons have a rarity system like Apex legends and Fortnite as in the more rare it is, the better the damage. Fan favourite weapons are here too so be proud of that fans. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will also have what’s described as “Cold Ear-era weapons”. We’ve seen some futuristic and wacky weapons in there. It’s cool and gives of a more relaxed less serious image to this mode. Be chill and have a good time.
We checked out some Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War gameplay and it’s what we expected. The multiplayer will be what all the videos and streams be about mostly. Zombies will be second and campaign last. It’s fast paced, looks great, lots of action and does what it says on the box. The only real problem is meta weapons in multiplayer. There’s one gun (we won’t say which) which is dominating the matches. We even saw a match where everyone except one person was using that gun on the opposing team. That says a lot. So glancing needs to be improved for sure.
Overall Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War looks like a very good game. We never said the game wasn’t good. Just doesn’t interest us at all and it’s multiplayer isn’t our style. There’s cool modes like VIP where you must kill the enemy teams VIP while guiding yours safely to extraction. Gets tactical. Graphics and sounds are great. The maps are very good and there’s some variety in this game. The developers ‘Treyarch’ with ‘Raven Software’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War really got. Now Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may have more action and speed but none of that matters in the presence of… the ‘Earth Walk!’
ExoMecha is a new free to play online competitive first person shooter game developed by ‘TwistedRed‘ and published by ‘Xbox Game Studios‘. ExoMecha is said to be coming out last quarter of 2021 on the Xbox One,Xbox Series X and PC. X35 Earthwalker knows a special game when he sees it. This game is looking special for sure. Let’s take a look.
In the universe of ExoMecha there is a planet called Omecha. It’s described as habitable. Multiple intelligent species in the galaxy have discovered Omecha. Now off course no likes to share apparently so these species are going to fight it out to be the one to have control of the planet’s resources. Simple story but it does explain everything you need to know about the action of the game. The action is the main factor and where it’s at.
Now the main battle and gameplay of ExoMech is infantry in advanced suits fighting it out in a way that reminds u of Titanfall. You can sprint, jump and shoot like in a regular shooter game. You have grenades and equipment to back you up like a grapple hook that you can even use to reach and take over a vehicle for example. You can get your hands on powerful weapons like rocket launchers which off course is perfect for destroying vehicles a group of troops and even flying threats Here’s where out feels like a shooter and you’ve got to make some moves in order to bring in the real firepower.
Now when we said in the title “Giant mechs, dragon and wars”, we weren’t joking. That sums up ExoMecha. It’s big battles. There are giant mechs that carry shields and swords. They literally fight it out like transformers. Remember that scene where sentinel prime with shield and sword fought Optimus prime. Yeah think of it like that. Two big mech robots just blocking, swinging and even doing techniques like knocking the enemies shield away with a kick. So it isn’t mindless button mashing but there’s neutral footsie game with spacing, counter attacking and moving in to remove the shield. There’s even executions.
Now it doesn’t end there in ExoMecha. We mentioned vehicles earlier as well. There are flying vehicles like attack copters which are literally just there to mow everything down even with explosive rounds. There are tanks with a heavy duty main cannon. There’s even a quick combat land vehicle which we saw it, we instantly though of the warthog from Halo. It can fight a few people and has a current for someone to man and fire. Last of all is the dragon. You heard us. This beast is a friend to no one. It will go wherever it wants and start shooting flames everywhere. It has been said that there’s a serious reward for having the guts to face this thing. The dragon is mechanical, big, and causes lots of damage. Off course it’s powerful but X35 Earthwalker can literally one shot that thing with a slap… so it’s only dangerous to regular people like you who’s reading this.
There’s more to ExoMecha than what you see. You have chaos and wars happening everywhere. Players will be equipped with abilities and gadgets. The two we see in the trailer: dash and grapple hook are examples. The developers said that none of the abilities are offensive: so expect defensive stuff or mobility. So far we know of three game modes in ExoMecha. One is like an objective type mode, another is basically a large scale battle while the third is basically a battle Royale. It gets strange though as we saw a players standing on top of a moving missile. So literally riding a missile into combat while shooting. Wild.
ExoMecha isn’t a simple flat game either with a set design. It changes. The developers stated that “at first, the ExMecha journey will start with all-natural environments” but as more species and civilisations land on Omecha, the maps will change due to their impact on the world. So each civilisation will have their own theme which will be clearly seen in the design of the maps. A little bit of information concerning the vehicles. There will be more than one of a type. For example there is a main tank and spider tank. The spider tank has better control and movement on rough surfaces and has a faster rate of fire but the main tank overall does more damage with slower firing big cannon and has higher max speed. So expect this for other vehicles.
We checked out some ExoMecha gameplay and it’s what we though. Expect big fields and maps with loads of combat and gameplay going on. Expect giant mechs clashing across the map while infantry are fighting it out with headshots, grenades and abilities and maybe commandeering vehicles. Then suddenly you are warned that you are in danger zone. Why? No reason… only the fact that there’s a giant dragon right there burning everything up. It’s pure action. Like we said it’s sort of like Titanfall, Transformers and Halo in one in a way with fractions from each.
Overall ExoMecha looks like something special. We are finally get a mechanised futuristic all battle game that will also visually look amazing with the power of the Xbox Series X. They stated, “Xbox Series X, we will have a 4K high fidelity mode & a 120 fps mode. Our 120 fps mode will also be 4K but it will be a dynamic resolution.” The developers ‘TwistedRed’ have done a fantastic job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker are keeping an eye out for this game. Now ExoMecha may have Gian mechs and a dragon but all those working together wouldn’t even scratch… the ‘Earth Walk!’
