X35 Earthwalker Maiden Cops street brawl

Maiden Cops is a 2D action beat em up game developed and published by ‘Pippin games’. Maiden Cops is said to be coming out the 30th of July 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PS4. It’s already out on PC but clearly nobody cared. Hopefully things change now that it’s coming to consoles. X35 Earthwalker does enjoy beat em up games from time to time. Hopefully Maiden Cops is the action that gives options and fun. Let’s take a look.

Maiden Cops is off course an arcade style game. The story? Well simply. The place is called maiden city. There’s a secret criminal organisation called ‘The Liberators’. They all about ruling the city with the usual fear, violence and a bit of chaos. So your job as one of the maiden cops is to tackle the crime. Tackle it legally… which means with your fists, feet and maybe tail?!

The main stars of Maiden Cops are off course the maiden cops policewomen themselves. Pick from Meiga Holstaur, Priscilla Salamander and Nina Usagi. These three are very different in character and fighting abilities. Meiga is the most powerful member thanks to her huge strength but gentle and shy. Priscilla is the fired up cheery rookie who is about that action. Nina is the leader, most experienced and very efficient. Pick your favourite girl and put your fists up in pixel graphic style.

Experienced players of games like this, especially if you played Streets of Rage 4, understand just how chaotic and brutal these games like Maiden Cops can become. Sure easy difficulty is well, easy; however it becomes the exact opposite with increased difficulty and overwhelming. Maiden Cops is said to have its own soundtrack so definitely got to check those out. We wonder just how crazy this game will get. Also curious of it’s limits.

Maiden Cops did get improved as there’s a 2 player mode. So yeah, grab that friend and get to work beating up criminals. There’s also unlockables, as in music, trophies, images and even outfits. ?So there’s something for players to work towards. We hear there’s also “well-crafted storyline” and it’s quite humorous too. Motorcycles too. 

X35 Earthwalker Maiden Cops special move

We checked out some Maiden Cops gameplay and it’s what we expected with a few surprises. The gameplay is normal for games like this. There’s weapons that have durability but there’s settings for weapons and more which allows players to customise their experience to some extent. The waifu characters are cool but we wonder what level the fan service will be at. We also wonder about the character stats and move set. Nina has the same move as skate from streets of rage 2 to jump on the shoulders of enemies and punch their heads. The character profiles are really cool and must be earned. Lots to do in this game.

Overall Maiden Cops looks like a fun and good game so far. 2 player mode is a must off course. So glad they have that. always like the idea of unlockables. There’s also cheats that can be enabled or disabled. Obviously Meiga is the best but the world creativity and character designs is good. We are seeing mostly W’s with this game. Just looks like beat em up fun. The developers ‘pippin games’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye open for this game. Now Maiden Cops may have strong fighting policewomen but they aren’t tough enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic is a horror game developed by ‘Steel Wool Games‘ and published by ‘Scottgames’. Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic is said to be coming out 13th of June 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PC. Are you ready for Freddy?! X35 Earthwalker knows all about Freddy… well sort off. This game looking like it’s bringing the next real chapter. Let’s take a look.

Now that you’re here, let me ask you again. ARE YOU READY FOR FREDDY?!… We apologise. Now the deal with Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic is another simple one but you should know Five nights at Freddy’s games by now with how there’s more to them. You play another fool who’s takes a job related to the Freddy business. You enter the abandoned workshop of Murray’s Costume Manor. That’s totally safe. Your mission? To retrieve Fazbear’s prized prototype technology. Certainly not vague.

Remember that by taking this job you agree with the disclaimer that says [Disclaimer: Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for whatever you awaken in the dark.] Yeah, you’re not so smart yourself huh. Edwin Murray is the main dude here. He’s the inventor concerning the workshop. He left behind some mysteries for you to solve. The biggest one off course is… ARE YOU READY FOR FREDDY?!! If you can’t answer that then you’re not ready for Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic.

Now Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic has quite the dramatic description and claim for players. Listen to this… or more like read this, “you’ll step into a world where every dark corner holds a secret and every flicker of light hints at an ever-present threat”. Also, “Prepare for heart-pounding thrills as you explore the labyrinth of the deserted Costume Manor”. Now when games make claims like that they never do live up to that for X35 Earthwalker. There will be jumps scares obviously, dark spots and moments where you will have to hide for your life. Hide? Yes you will need to hide. We didn’t explain yet. 

X35 Earthwalker Five Nights at Freddy's: Secret of the Mimic

Basically you aren’t alone in this abandoned workshop. There’s a prototype endoskeleton called the Mimic. This is the main problem right here. This thing has the ability to basically take on the form/copy all the other costumes. This means it can take on multiple forms. Those come for you in different ways. Whether by brute force or more cunning matters. You aren’t completely useless as you have some gadgets to help you out. Fair fight.

We checked out some Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic gameplay and it’s what we expected. Especially when you think about Five night’s at Freddy’s: Security Breach. so those players should feel comfortable in a number of ways. First person off course. We will say that the elephant doesn’t look scary at all. More silly than anything else but we are sure its punches hurt. Also a certain familiar face-ish is back. You didn’t leave it behind. This for real looks like the next adventure for sure.

Overall Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic looks like a great game. The lighting, especially with those dark areas are done very well. For games like this, they have to be. The mushroom dude just out for a stroll, so it doesn’t scare us either. Graphics are off course very good. We like the core design on the animatronics and machines. We like the level of detail too. Watch out for the eyes though. The developers ‘Steel Wool games’ have done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye open for this game. Now Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic may have the mimic but it’s abilities aren’t good enough to fool… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3. Oh My Goodness!

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 is turn based strategy role playing game developed and published by Cyberconnect2. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 is said to be coming out the 29th of May 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. X35 Earthwalker has been waiting for this game for a long time. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 is looking to take things to the next level with the story. Let’s take a look.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 is a much awaited game for sure. Yes we are biased for this one. X35 Earthwalker truly enjoyed the previous two Fuga games. The story continues after the second game. Sadly Malt (the oldest) has somehow vanished. No leads. We got a mysterious voice out here leading the children to a cave. The forbidden cave. The same cave where they discovered the Taranis. Guess what’s there? The Taranis! Didn’t they dump that thing off a cliff into the clouds? Well they have to save Malt, so that means getting on the Taranis again. The nerve of them to use the Taranis after they abandoned it technically twice.

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3.

This journey will be nothing like the last two. Remember how the Taranis can upgrade and sometimes evolve? Well keep that in mind while you play. The battles are a higher level and higher stakes. The trailer will spell it out for you. We recommend not watching it to stay completely surprised but yeah, the Taranis will learn to fly. It’s that crazy. New battlefields. This means that there will be new enemies, new techniques and new mechanics as it changes everything. Fuga fans have lots of reasons to be excited about this one.

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3

On top of all that. The Berman empire hasn’t retired. They still the biggest and the baddest and have decided to make a big move. Gasco better be ready. Worse than the Berman empire is the elite of the Berman. They are the finest lads and ladies that they have. Declared the “strongest”. The Crimson knights. The children and the Taranis are aiming for the “heart of the Berman Empire” and the crimson knights have something to say about that. This is exciting. They look like they will bring the pain for real. In Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 we faced a very angry and vengeful lady who wanted to take us down. These Crimson knights seem calm and more than confident in their abilities.

X35 Earthwalker Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3

We checked out some Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 gameplay and it’s what we expected. This looks clean and exciting while being what we remember but better overall. We are seeing improvements in areas like even representation of the characters to activities like mining for example. We are seeing more mechanics which means there is more room for strategies and tactical builds. It’s also smoother in cutscenes too by a bit. We are seeing more of the Berman leadership as well. The Taranis has an even more deadly weapon with a more deadly cost. How you feel about sacrificing all the children for the ultimate attack to obliterate everything?… no exodia. It’s just exciting what is coming in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3. We hope they make a way for us to use a Taranis super weapon that doesn’t involve sacrificing the children. 

Overall Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 look like an excellent game. There’s a step up in pretty much every category with some big changes and raised stakes and battles. Technology has truly advanced out here. We are liking the graphics, the animations look more lively for certain vehicles. We hope Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 keeps the French voice acting as well. We prefer that over the Japanese option. We do hope that they do Malt character here with the growing and learning from the second game. We wonder how the trust applies here too. Sad that we are missing a member though. Never liked that since Streets of Rage did that with Adam. The developers ‘Cyberconnect2’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are looking forward to this game. nNoe Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 may have action ‘out of this world’ but it’s still too grounded for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is a action tole playing game developed by ‘Primal game studio‘ and published by ‘Knights peak‘. Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is said to be coming out the 17th of April 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC. X35 Earthwalker can get behind some dark action. Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is out here to show what a tree can do. Let’s take a look.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is set in the world of Faelduum. This is full on fantasy and wild. So expect the full package. Folklore, fairy tales and off course some myths. Strangely though magic is outlawed here. So no magic but it’s definitely here. So use it. The leaders are hypocrites though as the city states are run by archmages. They are powerful but also described as tyrannical. Now magic wielding tyrants can’t be complete without… inquisitors. That’s right inquisitors are here to dish out justice. By the way… you are one of them… an inquisitor.

X35 Earthwalker Mandragora: Whispers of the witch tree

So basically in Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree you make the decision to abandon the group. Instead you will defy them. If you like metroidvania like games then Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree should interest you. There’s going to be lots of exploring, moving through areas, finding new things and getting upgrades or items that allows you to reach places you couldn’t before. As an action role playing game players can expect things to get out of hand quite quick. Expect higher difficulty, timed dodges and finding opportunities for attacks. Players will face foes, horrible monsters, dark entities and off course dangerous and powerful bosses.

X35 Earthwalker Mandragora: Whispers of the witch tree

We checked out some Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree gameplay and it’s what we expected. We do like that there’s multiple important characters in the game. Their faces pop up on screen so you can see the details placed. Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree also has the whole, your decisions determine thing and have consequences. Hopefully they do that mechanic right. Impactful moral choices hopefully incoming. This isn’t a diablolike game but the skill tree might remind you of it as it’s big. The style of course is different. So decided how you want to get stronger and what to prioritise. So dodge roll through enemies, combo foes, Time your strikes and more. Oh and don’t ignore the entropy. Yeah monsters and creatures are leaking into Faelduum. Reality tears and all that. Parallel place of entropy. Learn for yourself.

Overall Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree looks like an excellent game so far. We like the graphics and details of the structures. We like the graphic style and how it works with this type of game. Quite a lot of information and details concerning your character and builds. Not a fan of the animations though. They are excellent, just not our preference. Definitely liking the special effects ion lightning and electric type magic. The developers ‘Primal game studios’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep and eye out for this game. Now Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree may outlawed magic and monsters but both are far too small compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall is a tactical turn based game developed and published by ‘Wild River games’. Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall is said to be coming out the 5th of March 2025 on Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PC. X35 Earthwalker believes family friendly fun games are needed. Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall needs to impress or hook right here. Let’s take a look.

X35 Earthwalker Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall

The story in Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall is very simple. This creature filled world is in danger. Some unknown and quite shadowy threat is behind it all. so off course it’s up to the player to lead a group of combat ready creatures monsters to take own this danger and save the world.

Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall straight up just looks like a fun and colourful creatures battles. turn based off course and judging by the grids and options, a tactical one too. We hear that there’s over 100 levels. so there’s quite a lot for players to do and lots of opportunities to try out and adjust tactics.

X35 Earthwalker Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall

Over 100 levels but 4 different locations. Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall has open locations for players to actually explore. There’s off course a jungle… an overgrown one (Groundskeepers aren’t doing their jobs). A lava world with all the heat you can or cannot handle. A stone world that’s been described as “indestructible”… we will see about that. Last is the Ice world which to no ones surprise is cold. Bring a jumper. 

X35 Earthwalker Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall

We checked out some Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall gameplay and it’s what we expected. Build your team of 20 creatures. Each creature off course has their own skills. They can off course get stronger and more effective as they battle. attacks to attack a row, clear a lane, attack while moving etc. There’s definitely room for tactics here. A cool rock golem creature stands out. Just looks like some fun stuff.

Overall Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall just looks like a good game. Simple honest fun with a straight forward story. Nothing crazy. Most importantly is that it’s family friendly from what we can see. Graphics are good and the details are alright. The animations are good too. The developers ‘Wild River games’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to hear what happens with this game. Now Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall may have numerous battle ready creatures but none of them stand a chance against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is a 2D Metroidvania RPG (Role Playing Game) developed by ‘Adglobe‘ and ‘Live Wire’ but published by ‘Binary Haze Interactive‘. ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is said to be coming out the 23rd of January 2025 on the Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5 and PS4. X35 Earthwalker has a long history with Metroidvania style games. ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is here with something to show.

ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is set in what’s called the ‘Land of Fumes’. This place is special. It’s called a superpower. Like a powerful leading nation. Tons of magical resources are available here. Now to increase progression and advancement concerning the kingdom, the homunculi are here. They are “artificial life forms”. Of course something has to go wrong. Toxic fumes from underground has messed with the homunculi causing them to go mad. Now they are basically monsters. Watch out.

X35 Earthwalker ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist

Players control Lilac in ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist. Lilac is a Attuner. She has the power to save the homunculi. You wake up in what looks like a storage in a lab. You aren’t alone for long but encounter a homunculi who definitely has something to do with the ruin of the kingdom. Time to work together and recover lost memories… your memories and even find your friends. Assuming you have friends. Yes These events take place decades after the “Rain of Death”.

X35 Earthwalker ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist

Now certain fans who have been paying attention will recognise the style of this game. Remember Ender Lilies? Yeah. That’s right. The combat in ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is said to be a step up from Ender Lilies in terms of both “gameplay and exploration”. Players will be fighting with the help of their companions… so make sure to get them. There’s also additional difficulty levels. This means more options for the players. The babies can play on easy difficulty while the real players play for real. Shots fired.

X35 Earthwalker ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist

We checked out some ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist gameplay and it’s what we expected. It;’s definitely a step up from Ender Lilies. There’s said to be 30 different skills that you can receive from your companions. So you already know there’s variety in the combat styles. There’s also lots of relics, items and equipment. Get them and also upgrade them as well. The combat is looking good too. The big boss enemies are bringing some intimidation. Also looking like a high risk fight too. Hopefully things match up… if you know what we mean.

Overall ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is looking like an excellent game. You can acquire a mount which can just push its way through foes. Defeat powerful enemies and get companions. Time your dodges and rolls for evasion. Truly get into some serious scraps. A nice looking map but not great. The animations are nice as well. There’s quite the story here and they clearly want to make it deep and sort of dark too. The squad who worked on the music for Ender Lilies, Mili, is here as well to compose more music. The developers ‘Adglobe and Live Wire’ have done an excellent job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what this game truly brings to the console. ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist may be trying to bring an upgraded experience but it’s still too low for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

VED. Developed for 12 Years. Unique style

X35 Earthwalker VED

VED is a Turn based Role Playing Game developed by ‘Karaclan Studio’ but published by ‘Fulqrum Publishing‘. VED came out the 14th of November 2024 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5. VED arrived strong with a unique and demanding attention graphic style. X35 Earthwalker truly enjoys unique things in gaming. Let’s take a look.

VED is all about a young dude named Cyrus. Cyrus is a hero who showed up in Micropolis, an active city. Reason? A new line basically. Wouldn’t be a video game unless something wacky happens. Cyrus learns that he can teleport between two interconnected worlds. One is the regular human world while the other is a magical world full of floating islands (always cool), dangerous monsters and some strange creatures. This is already sounding like an adventure. Cyrus is the X factor here as both worlds destiny can be shaped by Cyrus. 

X35 Earthwalker VED

How can Cyrus shaped the destiny of the two world? Basically you must master very interesting and strong magic called VED (the name of the game!!!). Ancient magic and forces… and tings of dat nature (In my X35 voice). Now if it isn’t obvious already let’s talk about the graphic style here. This is the most unique aspect of the game but not the only. Hand drawn art and animation. It’s low key captivating. This alone is more than enough to build interesting in VED. Don’t forget that VED was in game development for 12 years. Talk about work put in to something.

VED does have the whole your choices shapes the story and stuff. Most games fail at that aspect but it can be done right. Hopefully VED learnt from other games. There are multiple endings. So the replayability is definitely there. What will the final decision be at the end of the adventure. The game VED claims that each decision has consequences which should make “the narrative deeply engaging and personal.” It’s not just combat and reading but there’s also the political landscape of both worlds. So how you interactive with and deal with certain key characters matter.

X35 Earthwalker VED

Now the combat is cool. It’s turn based combat. The combat “emphasises strategic positioning”. Now deep will the tactical might and opportunities be in VED. That’s the real question. Will it be an easy mode anyone can jump through or will the higher IQ players be the ones who ascend to greater glory? There’s going to be potential for set ups and big blows. This must be investigated.

We checked out some VED gameplay and it’s what we expected mostly. What’s cool is that there’s a whole build village system. Players can construct a village for themselves and their allies. This provides the means to unlock new abilities and skills. There’s also some unpredictability  in VED due to events which can either gift you with blessings for curses. So be ready for that. Lastly the music isn’t lacking. We hear there’s folk, hip hop and blends with symphonic. 

Overall VED looks like a great game. Of course the characters, the political landscapes, abilities, difficulties will need to be known more. So right now we can call it great. The developers ‘Karaclan Studio’ have done an excellent job. 12 years has to count for something. We hope VED gets the love it deserves. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye on this game. Now VED may have been developed for 12 years but it’s still way too short in the eyes of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

RIN: The Last Child. The Last?

X35 Earthwalker RIN: The Last Child

RIN: The Last Child is action, adventure platformer game developed and published by ‘Space Fox Games‘. RIN: The Last Child is said to be coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 this quarter of 2024. It’s already out on PC though. X35 Earthwalker chose to give this game a chance. RIN: The Last Child seems to go all in with the mystical world theme. Let’s take a look.

RIN: The Last Child is definitely all about exploring a mystical world. Metroidvania style of course. Game like this pretty much always have  this aspect. RIN: The Last Child is called this maybe because of the main character RIN, described as “the last child of the creator”. RIN’s mission is to restore balance to a mystical enchanting world that’s a step away from chaos. 

X35 Earthwalker RIN: The Last Child

Now on a deeper dive you could argue that RIN: The Last Child pulls in some inspiration from the myth of cronus. That old battle and struggle between the new gods and old gods. Free will, authority and how much impact and weight does one’s decision really have. So this clearly means that RIN: The Last Child will have multiple endings. So replayability is there. How many endings will players get?

RIN: The Last Child, like Ori and the Will of the Wisps, focused a lot on visuals and the graphics. Games like these have to be beautiful and a treat to look at. It’s compulsory at this point. RIN: The Last Child isn’t lacking in this department. Definitely makes us want to see more. We trust that the spells and abilities also have top tier effects. There’s crafting of spells. So gather those runes and aspects. There’s said to be over 7000 variants of spell. That’s because spells can be upgraded or even enchanted. So get ready.

X35 Earthwalker RIN: The Last Child

Now RIN: The Last Child does believe in variety. There’s off course quite the range of enemies and even transformed siblings. Yeah, much is happening around here. Different styles and approaches are encouraged. So don’t be a one minded bum. Switch up the tactics from time to time.

We checked out some RIN: The Last Child gameplay and it’s what we expected. Lots of platforming, multiple environments, lots of combat and lots of projectiles and spells. The foes don’t see so intimidating though. The animations looks good. Not top tier but definitely good. Also we don’t like the look of RIN. Run doesn’t look cute, intimidating or powerful. Wanted a bit more life in the environments though, mainly the background.

Overall RIN: The Last Child does look like a good game. There’s definitely an adventure here. the strongest point of RIN: The Last Child is clearly the spells. The sheer variety os the spells with variants is good enough. Got to see them in action. The developers ‘Space Fox Games’ have done a good job so far. Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is the new and improved version of the amazing game. It’s developed by ‘Black Tabby Games‘ and published by ‘Serenity Forge‘. Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is said to be coming out the 24th of October 2024 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC. X35 Earthwalker knows all about this princess. Excited to see what’s new. Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut has got some high expectations. Let’s take a look.

Now it should be clear that Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is the new and improved version of the original. The original won over many gamers and viewers thanks to the excellent writings, variety of words, feels like endless outcomes and numerous options. Of course the princess played a huge part in all this (the game is called slay the princess after all). Very memorable is the voice acting. Top tier voice acting. Fantastic. Let’s get right into what matters there with Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut. What’s new and different?  It’s been stated that there’s over 35% more content. That’s big!! That’s more than a third, especially with how big the original game was. So players can expect three new chapters and expansions to routes that were previously there. So don’t just seek the new stuff but go visit the old stuff as there’s new stuff to it.

That’s good but we want more… Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut delivers. There’s also a new ending as well. So time to figure out how to obtain such an ending and what will it represent. We know the previous ones well but knows there’s another. On top of this there are new princesses also. One of the most exciting things was seeing how the princess changes and develops based on your choices and the chapters. Now there’s new ones. Things are going to get wild.

The Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut expansion not just in some cases doubles the size of some routes but there’s also a new feature. There’s now a gallery feature so players can track their progress and makes the finding secrets thing a possibility for real. Yes, there are secrets.

Overall Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is looking like it’s going to be a fantastic game. New players are going to have a whole of a time while seasoned players will have a treasure hunt while nostalgic time. This is going to be a much bigger game and we are here for it. The developers ‘Black Tabby Games’ has done a fantastic job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker look forward to this game. Now Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut may have all new content and features both both the princess and the protagonist are simple beings compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Selfloss. Revered Whales?

Selfloss is an action adventure game developed by ‘Goodwin Games‘ and published by ‘Merge Games‘. Selfloss is said to be coming out the 12th of September 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. Will come to PC the 5th of September same year. Selfloss definitely has a uniquer factor that could make it stand out. X35 Earthwalker has respect for such creatures. Let’s take a look.

Selfloss is set in a post apocalyptic world. Players control Kazimir, who is a “seasoned volhv”. He is on a journey. Kazimir must traverse both land and sea to find a cure for his soul. Kazimir isn’t a helpless useless being. He has a magic staff which allows him to fight the “enigmatic plague” called Miasm. This plague has ravaged the world. Now this wouldn’t be an adventure unless humanity hangs in the balance or facing extinction or whatever. Yes, in Selfloss, humanity is a factor.

Selfloss looks like another indie, journey, story, little guy in a big world sort of thing. These types are normally done well and we hope the same for Selfloss as well. What’s unique and we are a fan of is how significant whales are in this game. Yes whales are revered in this world. You will see different types of whales too. Blue whale, white whale, humpback whale, sperm whale etc. We hope all are included in this game. Whales are so cool and you definitely interact with them. Respect the whales.

Off curse players will encounter multiple characters. Some described as unforgettable… we will be the judges of that.  We also saw some other creatures and beings as well. Like what looks like a big eel. We can’t trust it… but we will eat it. Cleansed and seasoned. Fresh water eel when done right can go crazy. Regardless Selfloss is looking like quite the little adventure.

We checked out some Selfloss gameplay and it’s what we expected. Little guy in a big world. Easy and simple to understand and get into. Going for the chunky block graphic style. Wind direction and streams and visible. The combat is very simple but there are some dangers for sure. Whales some times roll up and just do their thing. Be careful when on the seas though. A big ol whale might just pop up from under you.  Quite a mystical world. there’s rivers, forests, buildings, sea, cliffs, islands and well it’s a nice little variety that fits the theme. It is too slow though.

Overall Selfloss seems like a good game but it’s too slow for us. The best thing about Selfloss is easily the whales and the effects in some cases. hopefully the whales play a bigger role in all this. Those who want a relaxed little adventure has something to gain from this.  The developers ‘Goodwin games’ have dome a good job. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what results this game brings. Now Selfloss may have revered whales but they are too simple for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
