X35 Earthwalker Under the Waves

Under the Waves is a narrative adventure game developed by ‘Parallel studios‘ and published by ‘Quantic Dream‘. Under the Waves is said to be coming out the 29th of august 2023 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and pc. Under the Waves is clearly trying to do something deep here. X35 Earthwalker has tamed the deep and so will be the judge here. Let’s take a look.

In Under the Waves players control a dude called Stan. He’s a professional diver. He’s in deep… literally. In the ocean under the waves all by himself. The year is 1970 and it’s a futuristic advanced 1970 to have this kind of tech. Stan is having a struggle in his mind. He experienced a “life-changing loss”. He can’t seem to get over it and move forwards. He’s got a decision to make. What will he do?

X35 Earthwalker Under the Waves

Smart move by Under the Waves. Now Stan being in the north sea is actually a good representation of his situation. He is all alone and isolated from the rest of people. Yet Stan mentally isolated himself and made himself all alone. He is right where he wants to be. Can he stay there forever though? As he gets deeper in his mental isolation, things start to happen in the ocean. As in strange events… deep down.

X35 Earthwalker Under the Waves

We checked out some Under the Waves gameplay and it’s mostly what we expected. Under the Waves stays having you dive down into the ocean. Mix of gameplay and cinematic to make the ocean more active. Use the submarine and see different things. Things like a sunken ship. Big cool creatures like even a whale. Under the Waves has Stan equipped with a special wetsuit. Expect underwater plants and even plants. They got a story here so pay attention. Heard it was deep.

Overall Under the Waves seems like a good game. The graphics are very good. The lighting is very good. The visuals could have been better. The ocean with all the life in it needs to be presented and displayed in excellent levels. It needs to be big. Also looking so big compared to us. Lots of life and look the part. The ocean is arguably going to be the biggest thing for us concerning Under the Waves. Hopefully the story will be as narrative driving and deep as we hope… and as portrayed by the developers. The developers ‘Parallel studios’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what it brings forth. Now Under the Waves may be in the ocean but it ain’t deep enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Blasphemous 2

Blasphemous 2 is an action metroidvania game developed by ‘The Game Kitchen‘ and published by ‘Team17‘. Blasphemous 2 is said to be coming out the 24th of August 2023 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. Blasphemous 2 is here to bring more weird stuff our way. X35 Earthwalker will have to see if this game got the goods or not. Let’s take a look.

Blasphemous 2 is described as the “second scripture in the blasphemous series.” The main dude is back, also known as the “penitent one”. The story continues from the DLC ‘wounds of eventide’. The weird stuff. Well their whole game is weird but do y’all remember the heart in the sky, all about the return of the miracle and the birth of a new so called miracle child. Yeah, so make sure you up to date concerning the story for the better experience.

X35 Earthwalker Blasphemous 2

So yeah, woken up again… but in a new and strange land. You aren’t near what’s suppose to be your final resting place. You have to pass the time somehow so might as well get up and explore this place. There are guaranteed long forgotten secrets. So make sure to discover them. There’s always something going on with how games like this end and then want to start up the sequel.

We heard there’s a whole horde of ugly and weird enemies waiting for you. Hopefully there’s at least one good looking foe. Blasphemous 2 is suppose to have a more full and non-linear world. This also means there’s more to do. Take the npcs for example. There’s a bunch of new ones. Some will help, others will ask for help. Some will send you on “death defying” missions to get forgotten items.

X35 Earthwalker Blasphemous 2

You know Blasphemous 2 is going to have more weird bosses. They are described as twisted and that’s fair. Off course get ready for their attack patterns and learn the right timing and openings. They should be easier to beat thanks to upgrades to the combat. New weapons, executions, bigger combos and improvable skillset.

We checked out some Blasphemous 2 gameplay and it’s what we expected. Animations look slightly better. The world has stand out locations and the overall visuals are are better overall but it’s tough to tell from here. How far will Blasphemous 2 go concerning the designs, details and bosses. They did wuss out on some things last time.

Overall, Blasphemous 2 seems like a good game. X35 Earthwalker was never interested in the Blasphemous series. The first game failed to impress or even interest him. Hopefully they do better this time. The developers ‘The Game Kitchen’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will wait to see if this game will impress us. Now Blasphemous 2 may have a hew land to explore but it’s too small and simple for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Expanse: A Telltale Series

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a narrative adventure game developed by ‘TellTale games‘ and ‘Deck Nine games‘. The Expanse: A Telltale Series episode 1 is said to be coming out the 27th of July 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker is very aware of the Telltale series games. Time for a new adventure. The Expanse: A Telltale Series might be up to something here. Let’s take a look.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series episode 1 is all the way up in space. So yeah, there’s no jumping ship this time. You basically follow a lady called Camina Drummer on a ship called the Artemis. Her choices of course will determine everything. You know the drill by now… it’s a Telltale game. There’s a mutiny… a bloody one. So yeah, not everything is as it seems, think about things clearly, get ready for quick time events and pay attention to clues.

X35 Earthwalker The Expanse: A Telltale Series

Now comparisons will always be made. Previous Telltale titles either had illusions, human threats or monsters. It’s looking like human threats again. The mutiny will probably be the most in your face threat but there’s also going to be space pirates… no, not Metroid space pirates. Actual raid, attack and probably board type pirates.

X35 Earthwalker The Expanse: A Telltale Series

We checked out some The Expanse: A Telltale Series gameplay and it’s what we expected for sure. Exploration is the key thing in the game. This time you are exploring in space, on the outskirts of an asteroid belt. You will even get the chance to scavenge wrecked ships… in zero g. Hint to players: Camina Drummer’s resolve matters here. Those who know the story already through certain media will haver an advantage here. We prefer jumping in blind and getting the new experience.

Overall The Expanse: A Telltale Series looks like an alright game. We have sort of low expectations for this game. We know exactly what we want from this game as well. Visually it looks very good. The voice acting is very good too. There’s a lot of character interaction as well. Wonder if betrayal gets thrown into the mix. The developers ‘TellTale games‘ and ‘Deck Nine games‘ have done a veery good job so far. Looks like a lot of work went into it. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an eye open for this game. Now The Expanse: A Telltale Series may have dangers in space but those are simple stuff compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Cross Tails

Cross Tails is a Strategy Role Playing game developed by ‘Rideon’ and published by ‘Kemco‘. Cross Tails is said to be coming out the 20th of July 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker gives many games a chance… why not this one. Cross Tails is bringing in a whole war. Let’s take a look.

Cross Tails has a funny but easy to understand situation world. There’s two kingdoms. The kingdom of Ranverfurt in the north and the Republic of Hidiq in the south. so what’s the problem? kingdom of Ranverfurt are canine while the Republic of Hidiq are feline. Get it yet? North is dogs and south are cats. It’s Dogs vs Cats. This land has been heavily affected by the war. Things have been bad for a decade. The citizens of both nations clearly don’t like each other and have this basically imprinted in their mind sets to hate each other. Time to explore this world.

X35 Earthwalker Cross Tails

Cross Tails is off course a big story game. Characters, their relationships to other characters like family. History and of course talking and interacting to learn everything etc. The battle side of Cross Tails is where things get real tactical. We talking positioning your units, melee units, ranged units, stats etc. We do like the look of the battle field. The information seems to be displayed clearly. There also seems to be items or things to interact with on the battlefield itself.

X35 Earthwalker Cross Tails

So yeah, exploration is the key. You need to look around, speak to people and get involved with what’s happening in the two nations and this world. If you make progress and truly get to the bottom of this, then maybe you’ll reveal a certain third party. A sinister third party who just might be influencing things. There’s two adventures in Cross Tails go play through. Experience both sides and perspectives of the situation. Felix Arens and Shaimaa Jerbi. Pick one and get to it.

X35 Earthwalker Cross Tails

We checked out some Cross Tails gameplay and it’s what we expected. We have seen games like this before but Cross Tails is made in the year 2023 so we expect the details to be a higher level. Cross Tails looks good and the combat is tactical with multiple variables. Seems deep enough for tactical players to get into. The themes in Cross Tails are serious and clearly want to bring the emotions in or situations that are relatable. Will they do it well?

Overall Cross Tails is looking like a very good game. Maybe even excellent but more needs to be seen and things need to be experienced. Games like this with a whole new world and history, with deep stories are needed. The fans are there. The tactical side with a whole skill tree on top adds a lot to the game. A lot. The developers ‘Rideon’ have done an excellent job so far. X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Cross Tails may have a feud between nations but it would have been solved immediately by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Redfall

Redfall is a great game. Had lots of fun with this game. Redfall is an Xbox exclusive and was developed by ‘Arkane studios‘ and published by ‘Bethesda‘. X35 Earthwalker wanted to do a simple review/talk about Redfall. Show why it’s very good… especially since many ignorant and foolish people have bashed and attacked this game. Mainly pc and PlayStation players. So instead hear from X35 Earthwalker who is the smartest and wisest gamer of all time. Let’s take a look.

X35 Earthwalker Redfall

Redfall is quite simple to understand. You was in Redfall, which is a very lively town. Then suddenly things go very wrong. Vampires show up, they form cults who will attack and shoot anyone. You encounter a powerful vampire who is called black Sun. The sun gets blocked out making things free season for vampires. The survivors are being hunted down. so why not leave? Well somehow the vampires have raised up the sea… copying what God did with Moses, but a discounted not as good version of it. It’s solid stuff you can’t swim through and traps boats. So yeah, you can’t leave. Help the survivors and defeat the vampire so called gods.

X35 Earthwalker Redfall

Redfall is an open world game and it shows. Not the largest world at all but it’s split into two maps. The image above is the first map and where you start off. It’s also the smaller map. What’s weak though is that you can’t go back and forth between them. It’s a progression thing. Part 1 and part 2 of the game. Aside from that, the open world is probably the best thing about Redfall. The world is so excellently designed. Redfall town clearly looks like life was big here. You see the churches, the shops, markets, cinema, trailers, lighthouses and more. The ferris wheel and hotels. Our favourite thing about Redfall is after clearing out thew enemies, go for a tour and stroll around the town. You see everything. You can clearly see how life was like in this town. X35 Earthwalker will do a podcast talking about this soon-ish. It’s fun and detailed.

Speaking of detailed. Redfall has if not probably the most detailed open world in gaming. Watch the video above. The developers didn’t need to do all that. The posters on the wall are detailed and have actual information. There are job advertisements with contact information and terms. The food and items aren’t just generic brands, blank or copy and paste. Redfall has actual brands and names. From the tomato and fish tins to milk and beverages. Sweets and chocolates have names as well and eventually you’ll get to know them as you explore more corner shops and stores. It’s not just shops either but important buildings as well. The documents, writings, prints and more. Walk around ton and see for yourself.

The issues we hear from pc and playStation players. All seem to be performance issues. All of these issues were mainly on the pc. So much for pc master race… more like pc inferior race. pc has been having launch issues with new games recently. Not good but it happens. On the Xbox Series X, X35 hasn’t encountered any of those issues. So our experience has been excellent. Some say it’s 30 frames per second. Hard never been a problem. Sure it’s not as smooth as 60 obviously but it didn’t effect the gameplay for us. pc players claimed the world was empty concerning enemies. Wrong again. On the Xbox we had many enemies. We saw cultists, bellwether, vampires and vampire variants. We even witnessed cultists with vampires fighting against bellwether, multiple times. So yeah, pc and playstation players aren’t correct.

X35 Earthwalker Redfall

There’s a decent set of weapons in Redfall. Pistols, shotguns, rifles, sniper rifles, UV beams and stake launchers. There are some variety to each weapon class and you can carry 3 at a time. There’s also a blood remnant and a vampire god remnant. Both remnants need more options and have stronger effects. The weapons are all very effective. There are what’s called ‘unrivaled’ weapons. Basically legendary weapons which have the best effects and much stronger than other weapons of the same level. What they should have added is the means to level up your weapons sop they stay powerful with you.

We don’t want this to be too long. There’s many things to say about Redfall. Combat is good, there’s lots of action, many things to do like quests, lots to explore and do not underestimate the lore in Redfall. There’s loads to read and loads to learn. From authors and their pieces, to news and reports. Bill, from Bill… and bob over the radio. Documents, grave locks, recreations of the past and more. There’s lots going on, lots of tragic stuff too. So yeah, be patient and do some reading (for once in your life). Those vampire bosses, those so called gods… they suck (vampire joke). They are string and capable of killing you real quick. Each boss is very different. VERY different. Learn quickly. By the way, best character is Devinder.

Overall Redfall is a great game and worth playing. It’s not perfect and needs some more tuning up like being 60 frames per second and additional attack or ability for vampires and off course make climbing those darn rocks easier. Redfall is currently available on Xbox game pass. X35 Earthwalker finished the game. It was some good times.

X35 Earthwalker Exoprimal

Exoprimal is an action shooter game developed and published by ‘Capcom‘. Exoprimal is said to be coming out the 14th of July 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and pc. Exoprimal is trying to be the game that stands out. X35 Earthwalker likes to see games like this… but is it done right?

Exoprimal is set in the year 2040. the planet is in danger. Basically dinosaurs are showing up “from thin air” and they are doing all kinds of damage to the cities… across the world. so everyone basically looks to ‘Aibius Corporation’ for help. They are described as powerful and have AI technology. They got one called Leviathan which lets them know where the dinosaurs will roll up on the scene. They then send out fighters to take them down. Exofighters.

X35 Earthwalker Exoprimal

Exoprimal gets players right into the action. As an exofighter you are armed with the Exosuits which are the so called “state-of-the-art” mechanise combat suits. So yeah, if you fail, then humanity is doomed. So go fight dinosaurs… or maybe not… try to take a selfie with them… or not.

Now Exoprimal does want to make things tactical so there are classes. Assault, Tank and Support. It’s obvious what these roles do. What’s not so obvious are the loadouts. Pick these to fit the situation or your style. There’s also rigs, which are additional equipment adding abilities. Here’s an example. The zephyr exosuit is excellent at close range but off course struggles with long distance threats. The cannon rig will give you a long range laser. Problem solved.

X35 Earthwalker Exoprimal

We checked out some Exoprimal gameplay and it’s what we expected. There’s different dinosaur types, with some being big and require attention while there’s the raptors swarming like zombies. Players have good mobility, certain classes have more. The tank classes got big weapons and stand against the horde. Speed in attacks and strikes. Hovering, thrusting, sword strikes, transformation and more. It’s heavy action and looks like things can get intense. The difficulty is in question though. This is a team focused game but is it balanced for solo players?

Overall Exoprimal looks like a great game. We like the graphics. The animations are very good. The details are weak though. As in the armour design and details on it. The focus was clearly all on the combat. Cutscenes are good. Good dinosaur games are rare. The developers ‘Capcom’ have done a very good job so far. X35 Earthwalker will have to see in full what this game brings. Now Exoprimal may have dangerous dinosaurs but they are just baby lizards if they ever faced… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Cassette Beasts

Cassette Beasts is an adventure role playing game developed by ‘Bytten Studio‘ and published by ‘Raw Fury‘. Cassette Beasts is available on Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and pc. Right off the bat, X35 Earthwalker can confirm that Cassette Beasts is a fantastic game. No doubt about it. Cassette Beasts is its on thing and does it very well. Take a look.

Basically what’s going on is that you have somehow ended up on in this world. It’s not some normal place on earth. There’s some differences. For starters there are Cassette Beasts… these creatures are very creative and can be dangerous. Very dangerous. People ended up in New Wirral (the island you’re on) but from different places and sounds like different times too. So many questions and mysteries regarding this place. There’s even beings called archangels who are very powerful and not to be messed with. Just looking at some can really hurt.

X35 Earthwalker Cassette Beasts

Let’s make this clear. This isn’t like pokemon. Cassette Beasts is very unique. In pokemon you capture creatures and make them your own, while in Cassette Beasts you record creatures to have a copy of them. So the creature stays free. In pokemon you summon your creatures to battle. In Cassette Beasts you BECOME the creature you recorded. It’s you battling. In pokemon you have HM which are special moves to interact with certain things in the world, like slash down trees, move boulders, smash rocks, go across the seas etc. In Cassette Beasts you unlock permanent abilities from just recording a creature that has that ability. For example there’s a bullet creature that when you record you gain the rocket dash ability where you zoom really fast. Very useful. Lastly Cassette Beasts have fusion. Take two beasts and fuse them together to form a powerful beast that has all the moves of both creatures, has both creatures types as one and improved stats. A game changer for sure. Both are great but we want to make it clear that Cassette Beasts is it’s own thing.

X35 Earthwalker Cassette Beasts

The world in Cassette Beasts, is very lively. There’s puzzles, mysteries, boss battles, numerous creatures, different environments, unfair condition and much more. There’s many to speak to. There’s beast variants and exploration is heavily required. You need to face and defeat the ranger captains who can be real tough and off course find and defeat the archangels who who are even more powerful and at times unfair. So don’t think you are top dog in this world. Cassette Beasts can get brutal at times. Buy items from vendors and be prepared for anything. Here’s some gameplay below.

Here’s more gameplay.

We aren’t going to spoil anything for you. There’s lots to see. It’s truly an exciting adventure. We haven;’t finished the game yet but we are close. Just taking our time and exploring everything. Numerous side quests to complete and creatures to record. Including a metal boxing big dog creature. X35 Earthwalker is the best. So listen to him. So yeah. Cassette Beasts is currently available on the Xbox Game Pass as well. Now Cassette Beasts may have a unique biog adventure but it’s so small and generic when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker front mission 1st remake

Front Mission 1st: Remake is a strategy Role Playing game developed and published by ‘Forever Entertainment‘. Front Mission 1st: Remake is said to be coming out the 30th of June 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and pc. Already out on Nintendo Switch. Mechs, combat, strategy, movement? Alright. X35 Earthwalker Knows what mech games need. Let’s take a look.

The story in Front Mission 1st: Remake is normal-ish.  It’s the Year 2090. Battles are fought using mechs called Wanzers. Lame name. There’s two groups: Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and Unified Continental States (U.C.S.). They don’t like each other and fight. Huffman island is the only place where they share a border. So yeah, conflict has started. Lieutenant Karen Meure goes missing and you, discharged from the military goes to find her. Of course nothing is simple or as they seem. Can you trust anyone?

X35 Earthwalker front mission 1st remake

You like mech games and strategy? You better. Front Mission 1st: Remake is focused on that to a medium level. So carefully place your units. Use the environment to your advantage and take them out. Customise your Wanzers and pilots. You can switch between the classic and modern mode. So old school players who knew this game can get a treat. Strategy games need to put in that extra layer for information. So make use of the free camera and the NEW tactical map.

X35 Earthwalker front mission 1st remake

When it comes to strategy games, we love to have details and information. We need numbers, designated paths or items, options, difficulty, control and so much more. When it comes to mechs though, there’s a whole lot of other needs. The mech animations, weapons, clear differences between designs. We aren’t easily satisfied.

We checked out some Front Mission 1st: Remake gameplay and it’s not what we expected. Remember it’s a remake so we expect things to be next level but we aren’t getting that from what we can see, or feel. Its style is clearly different. Not our style though. Those who know the legacy of this game will be happy to see this.

Overall Front Mission 1st: Remake looks like an alright game. The graphics are very simple and the. Animations are basic too. We do like the mechs thrusting around for fast movement. The developers ‘Forever Entertainment’ have done an alright job with this. We at X35 Earthwalker hope this game does well. Now Front Mission 1st: Remake may have wanzers but they aren’t advanced enough to be used by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark

The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark is the second world expansion and this game is already big enough. So we just know that this expansion is going to bring the good stuff. The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark is a strategy action Role playing game and a darn good one at that. Now if you want to know more about the base game then read our G-blog on it. X35 Earthwalker himself played this game. So he knows what’s up. Let’s take a look.

Right off there bat we can say that The Riftbreaker is an excellent game. High level graphics and excellent attention to details. The planet looks cool and great to explore. There’s a variety of areas and they got their own biosystem. Now we hear that The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark, as in this new expansion would bring in even a new biome. This is quite biog as that means players will get to explore new parts of the planet that we couldn’t before. More of the planet is being opened up. So get your exploration on concerning the caverns of Galatea 37.

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark

There’s a whole new way of traversing in The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark. You can now drill and tunnel through the walls of the caverns themselves. There’s new samples to research and even new technologies. The question is how much though? Apparently we also have to save this world from an “Enemy within”. So we got something big down here. That makes sense though. A whole alien planet and there’s an underground section. There has to be something massive down there. That’s what makes things scary-ish.

X35 Earthwalker The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark

We checked out some The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark gameplay and it’s what we expected. It’s dark and a dangerous location. Being underground automatically adds a layer of dangers that the surface won’t have. There’s big underground creatures that will require the new weapons and tech to deal with them and even repel their attacks. Now use these new tech and build your base. After all you can’t talk about The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark and ignore the base building. Buildings is the way and you HAVE to do it. So get to it.

Overall The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark looks like it’s going to be fantastic. They must make sure that players have the option to travel between the surface and the underground. The massive beasts better be actually massive and scary. Use the darkness to make the fear optional for players. There’s actually loads of ideas for tech and weapons in a game like this. So you developers better not hold back. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what truly lies within this expansion. Now The Riftbreaker: Into The Dark may have a whole underground biosystem but it’s all to simple and small for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Layers of Fear

Layers of Fear is a First person psychological horror game developed by ‘anshar studios‘ and published by ‘Bloober Team‘. Layers of Fear iOS said to be coming out the 15th of June 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and pc. X35 Earthwalker has never been scared by a horror game. Layers of Fear ain’t the new kid on the block in the horror world. Let’s take a look.

Layers of Fear, well this version of it is more like a compilation. This installment contains “both Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2, along with all DLCs—including the new ‘The Final Note’ DLC”. So fans of Layers of Fear will most likely appreciate this. They can face the horrors once again but with basically improved everything, especially in terms of visuals. Layers of Fear is made in Unreal Engine 5. So yeah… set your expectations.

X35 Earthwalker Layers of Fear

Remember we mentioned Unreal Engine 5? There’s also supports Ray Tracing, HDR, and 4K resolution. So you just know the Xbox Series X will dominate here. Layers of Fear has new storylines including “the never-before-revealed story of The Writer ties everything together”. So veteran Layers of Fear characters have some new content to look forward to.

X35 Earthwalker Layers of Fear

We checked out some Layers of Fear gameplay and it’s what we expected. After all Layers of Fear is described as a psychological horror game. So expect most of the horror to come for your mind. Expect darkness… a lot of it. Expect sounds coming from certain places. Expect threats to be showing up, especially out of reach but not doing anything yet… but you know it’s going to be a real threat later. We know for a fact that Layers of Fear won’t be able to scare us.

Overall Layers of Fear looks like out will be an alright game. It hasn’t impressed us though. The Layers of Fear fans and the fans of horror may go crazy for it though. Let’s see. Thew graphics and visuals are definitely there. They are excellent. We have to give it that. Keep the light source on and working and try not to lose your mind. The developers ‘Anshar studios’ have done a very good job with this. We at X35 Earthwalker just can’t be scared by this game. It ain’t got what it takes. Now Layers of Fear may got amped up but it’s still too small for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
