Catherine: Full Body is the puzzle horror-ish remake developed by ‘Atlus: Studio zero’. Catherine: Full body came out the 3rd of September 2019 on PlayStation 4. It was released earlier in Japan though. We definitely liked the Catherine games and want to talk about a couple things concerning the remake. Let’s take a look.

Let’s just go through these points as quickly as possible. First of all we didn’t get to play the game ourselves but saw the entire game. Now this isn’t just a remake as in a sense of just better graphics. There is new paths to the story, some changed and new dialogue, new scenes, a new character and just additional stuff.  They definitely kept the same style of visuals for both the gameplay and cinematic parts and that’s a good thing as they worked well in the original game. Things do seem smoother though when it comes to the cinematic. The additional cinematic scenes are primarily about the new character Rin (Qatherine). There’s more interaction between Vincent and his friends. Something you will need to see for yourself and the developers did good in these areas.

Let’s get straight into the gameplay. There is a new block altogether and we believe it’s called the Laser block. This block you only see in the very last extra levels of the game if you take the Rin path. These blocks literally just fire a laser which will kill you. Just wait for it to stop firing and then move by or whatever. Sadly they are the only new block and they could have added more. The next is the difficulty and we have a problem with this one. First of all we hate the idea of a very easy mode is embarrassing. X35 Earthwalker himself beat the original Catherine game with gold price for each level and beat all the Babel levels, easy difficulty is actually a complete joke. Yet very easy is unacceptable. If someone can’t beat your game they need to practice and use their heads. it’s a puzzle game after all. Then it gets worse as there’s a ‘safety mode’. WHAT!? Anyone who plays with that feature needs to put down the controller and back away from the game. You should be ashamed. 

This is what Gematsu said concerning safety mode, “In Safety mode, you can use the ‘Skip Feature’ to skip stages you have not cleared with the press of a button, and solely enjoy the event scenes. For players who want to see the puzzles, both Safety and ‘Easy’ modes have an ‘Auto-Play’ feature where Vincent moves on his own during the action puzzle segments”. Well the best use of this would be to just see the cinematic scenes and get the different endings quickly AFTER you have already beaten the game. We don’t like the ides of a safety mode at all. Just take time and practice, you even have undo in normal mode so you could figure things out move by move if you need to. 

Catherine: Full Body also a Remix mode which basically has “new mechanics and gimmicks”. For example you will see blocks that are all joined together and look like precious stones. They can be two blocks next to each other or even form a big shape etc. You have to move the whole thing as one big block, not separately. It does overall make the whole game easier but in less parts can really mess you up. Pull out a whole shape and end up hanging over the edge with no where to go. It’s a cool concept and we like the addition of remix mode to shake things up. Just play through once with remix and then another in classic mode. Also Catherine: Full body has better lighting with some places receiving some small changes. The stray Sheep is more lit for example. Some of the nightmare stages have less fog too.

Now we think Rin is a great edition to the game as she’s a very different person from both Katherine and Catherine. Players really can’t help but like Rin, she’s the happy, bubbly, optimistic person many wish they had as a friend. We would gladly have her as a friend but how they handled Vincent’s decision to be with Rin and his thought process is very bad. It doesn’t make any sense. Think about it imagine you are in a serious relationship with your girlfriend for 5 years (ladies you can reverse the situation to make it applicable to yourself). The choice of marriage is now a present thing and in your mind, she even told you that she is pregnant, don’t forget that you actually like your girlfriend and had such a romantic beginning. Would you then break up with her for someone you just met and have known for 5 days? Worse, that person has amnesia and remembers nothing of themself (they could be a terrorist undercover for all you know). Even worse, you thought that person was a woman but instead learn by accident that they are a man. Off course you wouldn’t. You have to be the biggest scum to do that to someone. There’s so many problems with this. Would Vincent have developed any feelings like that for Rin if he knew from the start that Rin was a man like how his friends Orlando, Johnny are men? Nothing from the original game or this game suggests he would go down that path. This whole thing is just clearly forced. 

Next that we believe doesn’t make any sense is Katherine’s reaction to Vincent admitting cheating on her. In the original she was on the calm side (the nightmare doesn’t count) but made it clear she was not happy about it ad that she wanted Vincent to leave her alone by ignoring her messages and call. Yet in the original, taking everything we mentioned earlier from our example into account, was even more calm than ever and remained friends. We can’t think of a single girl who would react like that to being cheated on with a man (he knew you was pregnant), have 5 years wasted and had to confront them about it. We know it’s just a game but that isn’t realistic at all. We definitely love Johnny’s reaction to the news of Vincent leaving Katherine for Rin. He gave him a nasty punch that floored him. Which does make sense since Katherine is also his friend. Vincent’s reaction to the punch by not fighting back or even getting angry shows that they are like brothers in a sense and good friends. Vincent won’t fight back but understands why Johnny did that, knowing he deserved it. They brushed off, accepted each others decisions and went back to having drinks and talking together. They are bros for sure and in some ways can relate to that. So we give a thumbs up for that interaction.

We didn’t like the great reveal that Rin is an alien. It feels completely out of place and makes no sense concerning other matters. For starters we initially though that Rin was an angel since Catherine is the demon and Katherine is the human but Rin could also appear in the nightmares, which Astaroth and Dumuzid couldn’t really do anything about it, until much later which made no sense, why didn’t they attack her, unless she was something powerful too on level or above demons like an angel. Astaroth knew Rin wasn’t normal at all and hiding a big secret. If Rin is not an angel then why is a god like Dumuzid who is a demon basically scared of her and her brothers? I can understand demons being scared of angels but not an alien. Aliens aren’t supernatural. Wouldn’t aliens go to alien hell and therefore demons can torment them? At night wouldn’t Dumuzid have the advantage? Or is he only useful in dreams (if so then what kind of lame god is he)? It just doesn’t go. Also the bunch of alien brothers look so out of place reminding us of the minions from Despicable Me. We thought they could have made the end game of Rin much better. 

There are additional stuff in Catherine: Full Body like how some items have new effects. The white block now creates white blocks in a 3×3 shape around the block you are standing on. The energy drink allows you to jump up two blocks but up to three times, when you decide to use it, giving players more control over it. The Rapunzel game has been renamed Super Rapunzel and has more levels with both a remix and classic mode. Rin’s piano can slow down the rate that the blocks fall away and how fast the boss moves after you. The undo system has been reworked, can view the back of the stage more easily, unlimited retries if you die, Babel and Colosseum have new stages (happy about this). O

Online has some new stuff going for it as well. If you play the story while online, you can see the spots where other players have died, which is quite useful so you know which parts can be tough. You get to see the number of deaths in that level nationwide and how they died, like by falling, crushed etc. Catherine: Full Body has gotten quite competitive as you can face and climb off against other players online. There’s even a ranking system too.

The last thing we hate about Catherine: Full Body is definitely the undo system. It’s basically impossible to die unless you are that bad at the game. If you step on a trap block and get spiked, you ‘undo’ and you’re right back where the block is, cancelling your death basically. If you fall off, same thing. Deaths don’t matter as much anymore. In the originally if you died, you died and had to go back to checkpoint or start of level. These changes make the game too easy. Even players who aren’t good at the game like Jay from the kubz scouts can beat Catherine: Full Body. No, beating the game doesn’t make you good at it. Eventually DSP beat the original too. Literally the second boss the immoral beast was the easiest level we have ever seen. It was a joke. Overall the game is easier than the original. We haven’t seen how difficult it is on hard mode though. We can only go by what we know.

Overall Catherine: Full Body is a very good game. We had more to say but it’s long enough as it is. The original Catherine had a better story. Catherine: Full Body is bigger with more features but the main thing that stands out about Catherine is the story so we say the original was the better game from the main part (story) but Catherine: Full Body is better overall with the cool additions, more options, better graphics, more scenes, longer gameplay, more endings, new character etc. It doesn’t have the same Catherine feel but a great game still.

It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains is an arcade top down shooter game developed and published by ‘Triangle Studios‘ but also published by ‘All in! Games‘. It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains is said to be coming out the 28th of January 2020 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4. It’s already out on PC though. Aliens wanting brains is strange. Let’s take a look.

It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains at first look will give players an exact idea of what this game has to offer. Pretty much everyone knows what arcade top down shooters are about. Run around, get items, survive while firing like crazy at the hordes of enemies that are coming after you. This is what’s going on mostly in It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains. 

Basically the story of It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains is that a dangerous alien race has shown up. They invaded earth and mercilessly feed on brains. Human brains. Players control a guy who is described as no-nonsense. This guy has two things in life: a weapon and a flashlight. For some reason the military is not doing well at all and everywhere you look, there’s chaos. You have to save the world again.

We checked out some It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains gameplay. There’s a campaign which has 6 missions, this whole game is local co-op and there’s suppose to be a whole range of weapons. There’s even special abilities too called powers. There are different modes like setting a highscore and survive for as long as possible. Just expect a whole bunch of enemies all coming for you as you make your way, so be prepared to fire… a lot.

Overall, It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains is just another arcade top down shooter game. The graphics are okay for what it is and the levels don’t seem all that interesting but there are some mechanics that does add some elements to the fights. So far there isn’t anything that makes us want to play the game or interests us. Definitely isn’t the best looking game of it’s type but it’s still a whole game that got developed through work. Overpass is an off road simulation racing game developed by ‘Zordix Racing‘ and published by ‘Bigben‘. Overpass is said to be coming out in the first quarter of 2020, most likely February, on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4 and PC. Overpass claims to be very different from all the other games. It’s to do with the off road stuff. Let’s take a look.

Overpass is all about the off road action. So expect nice smooth tracks. There will be none of that. All the terrain will be hazardous and dangerous. Go through the woods, across mud, up hills and not just simple hills but also steep hills with risky slopes.  Like literally this isn’t just racing. It’s more like obstacle courses with variety.

Since Overpass is about driving, let’s focus on the vehicles. We know that there are quad based vehicles and buggys. The best way to describe Overpass in terms of their vehicles is to think of the game ‘Smugglers run’. That was a real fun game. You had so many rigged and tricked out vehicles that were all made for the huge hills, rough terrain and annoying trees. They were rough vehicles, not polished or smooth looking at all. So Overpass should be like that.

The developers have made it clear that Overpass has a very detailed and realistic physics engine. This physics design is said to allow players to have “precise and meticulous control of your speed and acceleration”. This adds a skill requirement. So if players do not master this skill then their vehicle may flip over, lose grip or momentum. Brands like Suzuki, Artic Cat and Yamaha are here on the vehicles too. 

We checked out some Overpass gameplay and it’s what we expected from what we have seen. There’s some creative obstacle courses, lots of wild tracks and tests for the players to face. There’s 2 or 4 drive wheels, differential locking, transmission type: “the player has been given all the tools they need to discover the real vehicle options that will let them adapt their driving to the terrain”. We are currently liking what Overpass is doing here by going for a different racing approach. It’s more like an adventure than a race. Going across bridges, balancing and managing speed while tackling slopes, going over absurd roads and blocks etc. It’s different and really does represent some real off road driving. Hopefully there will be great variety amongst vehicles.

Overall Overpass seems like another racing game but more like a hybrid between ATV quad power racing 2 and Smugglers Run. There’s a career mode where you get to manage your vehicles and choose which is the best for each track. The graphics look very good. We d like what Overpass is ten  to do though. The developers Zordix Racing have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what Overpass will do. Now Overpass may have the vehicles for off road racing but one thing that’s perfect for all terrain is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Doom 64 is a first person shooter action game developed by ‘id Software‘ and published by ‘Bethesda Softworks‘. Doom 64 is said to be coming out the 20th of March 2020 on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now this game is a classic for sure and the demons are back. Let’s take a look.

Doom 64 is basically sort of still Ultimate Doom. If you know Ultimate Doom then you know what to expect. There isn’t that much to say about Doom 64. You literally fight and kill demons through 32 levels. Grab your shotguns, chains guns, plasma guns, BFG, rocket launcher and more and destroy all kinds of demons. The objective is to find and defeat the mother of demons (whatever that is) and off course stop hell. Can someone please explain why demons can be killed by an earthly shotgun?

Now there is a cool catch though. The developers of Doom Eternal are saying that if you pre-order Doom eternal before the 20th of march 2020 then you get a free digital copy of Doom 64. This is a very cool deal, not as good as the Doom 3 Resurrection of evil deal where when we bought the game, in the extras menu you had the option to play Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 and Doom master levels. Still a good deal though. Players can get two games for the price of one.

We checked out some Doom 64 gameplay and it’s what we expected and it’s definitely what you are expecting if you know anything about the game. Run fast and shoot, open doors and shoot, collect keys and shoot, pick up weapons and shoot, go berserk and punch but when that runs out you will shoot. You get it. Players must remember that like with other Doom games look out for secret rooms and areas that have powerful weapons, lots of ammo and even power ups.

Overall Doom 64 isn’t anything new to add on about. We do like the difference art style when you compare Ultimate Doom and Doom 64. The Unmaker is a powerful anti- demon weapon that is only found in Doom 64 and not the previous Doom games so players get a chance to try that thing out. The developers ‘id Software’ have done a good job with all of this. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an eye out for this game. Now Doom 64 may be a classic blast from the past but this blast is far too small to phase… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a new action zombie shooter game developed and published by ‘Rebellion‘. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is said to be coming out the 4th of February 2020 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Now zombie games are basically all about the same thing. Zombies are dumb and come at you in numbers. So let’s see what’s different.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is all about zombies. Players will continue the alternate history of the Zombie Army Trilogy. So to recap, zombie hitler has been defeated sent into Hell and his army lost. Suppose surprise though as the zombies are back. This time they want brains more than ever before. So it’s up to the player to face the horde once again.

Let’s get something very clear. It’s a zombie game so players should know what to expect. Expect a whole horde of zombies with off course some variety. Well in Zombie Army 4: Dead War players can expect shadow demons, grabbers, explosive suicide zombies a zombie tank and of course the armoured ones. 

The melee has been boosted in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. Expect some powerful crazy melee weapons and even techniques like takedown moves, stomping on zombie heads and more. Remember the Sniper Elite series? Well you expect some stuff from there here in Zombie Army 4: Dead War like the slow motion of bombs, bullets and more destroy the organs, body and bones of the enemies. Witness the destruction.

Expect deeper character customisation and progression in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. Get upgrades for turrets and even the ability to take them with you. Level up slaying abilities to be that destructive power or be a serious tank who can take all the damage for your allies. Also, because it’s trendy, there are taunts, and emotes. Don’t forget the different outfits. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is all all about slaying both literally and in looking good. Get it?

We checked out some Zombie Army 4: Dead War gameplay and it’s what we expected. Sort of reminds us of Left 4 Dead and World War Z in some ways. We like that there is multiplayer and we like the weapon upgrading system like adding an electric mod to fire off electric rounds. There’s also a bigger horde mode where the longer you are alive, the larger the map gets which is interesting. Things look cool so far.

Overall Zombie Army 4: Dead War looks like another cool zombie game where you face hordes of enemies as a team, set up traps, turrets and use whatever you got to defend against the horde. Different types of zombies and enemies, melee, upgrades etc. You know what to expect. The developers ‘Rebellion’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker look will keep an eye out for Zombie Army 4: Dead War and see what it gets done in the gaming world. Now Zombie Army 4: Dead War may have a zombie hitler and zombie army but even that’s a complete joke if it faces… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Tera is an massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was developed by ‘Bluehole‘ and published by ‘En Masse‘. X35 Earthwalker, the one true Earthwalker, the legendary soldier himself has been playing Tera for quite a while now. Seen a lot and done more. This is just an update on what’s been going on and what Tera is doing well. Let’s take a look.

In the past we compared Skyforge to Tera and it was a close call on which was better overall based on the main things about the games, so we didn’t include things like the end game. We gave Skyforge the slight win but when you take the end game into account then Tera easily wins. Tera has lots to do in the end game and doesn’t force you to keep repeating the same missions and things over and over and over again like in Skyforge. The stories are more interesting and better carried out and consistent in Tera. Which is one of the main reasons we aren’t bored in Tera right now. Funny enough the end game of Skyforge is what made us check out Tera again and we have been enjoying it way more than before. So when you compare the two games overall including everything then Tera is the better game.

Now Tera has had a cool Christmas update and it’s adding to the entertainment of the game. It’s an event update that we actually care about. Basically there are now these fake santa claus guys. They basically have lots of gifts that were meant for players but they stole them. When you see one, just beat them up and goodies come out. That’s it. Literally. Now the goodies they drop are very good. Some are food and potions that when used grants you buffs for combat. Speed mote which makes you considerably faster outside of combat for a good period of time. Toy boxes that require toy keys which contain many items. They also dropped some dragon token item thing which if you have enough you can trade in for a new pet. The sad part is that the fake santas are about at certain times and big santa graus is super hard to find which is disappointing. Funny enough though we literally just found a big fake santa graus before finishing this blog post.

X35 Earthwalker started another character and this time doing the sorcerer class and so far enjoying it. We like how you can start a new character and try out the classes easily. Off course you must start from the bottom and unlock your abilities through levelling up. We knew the sorcerers weakness from the start. The sorcerer has way less mobility than the warrior. As you get more abilities though you get moves that can help you move around and evade attacks. Bosses that rush you down are the weakness of the sorcerer. The obvious strengths is that you have a large variety of elemental attacks with different effects. Big powerful area of effect attacks. Even attacks that deal continuous damage, like burn and poison and even continuous ice damage. The Sorcerer feels more powerful but we are definitely stronger with our first warrior character class.

Overall having a fun time in Tera. Currently just trying to hunt fake santas which we hope spawn more frequently and better hunt time periods. Levelling up our new character and thanks to certain in game updates the crafting, enchanting and some mother features are finally understandable. Things use to be super confusing but now makes more sense. Players can also fish now you get a fishing rod and literally fish in some really cool looking lakes, and big bodies of water. We even got our hands on this bike ride which is fast and you can fly with it. Lots to do in Tera. The developers have made some good moves. Now Tera may have gotten some upgrades but even those don’t make it come close to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Tera gameplay

Darksiders Gensis is a new action adventure game developed by ‘Airship Syndicate‘ and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. Darksiders is said to be coming out on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 the 14th of February 2020. Now from what we hear Darksiders Genesis is suppose to be a bit of a crazy ride. Let’s take a look. 

Now Darksiders Genesis takes place before the events of the original Darksiders game. Darksiders Genesis is also bringing in horseman Strife. Strife is here now so fans can be happy about that. The story basically is that War and Strife have got their newest assignment. Their target is lucifer, who plans to shake the balance by granting power to the master demons. War and Strife must hunt down the master demons and solve what’s truly going on.

So basically if you’ve played Darksiders before then expect something different. It’s a top down shooter combat game. So prepare for that. You’ll be fighting demons and angels, swapping between War and Strife depending on what’s best. You also get much stronger by acquiring creature cores, abilities, weapon enhancements and items.

We checked out some gameplay and it just looks like another top down action game. We like that you can switch between Strife and War with ease and mix things up. The action looked mostly smooth and the music is definitely good. We haven’t seen anything that makes us go “wow” yet but it definitely works well. The bosses though look like big trouble. Legion boltspitter looks like he could ruin your whole life but obviously the horsemen will win somehow. 

Overall, Darksiders Genesis seems like an alright game. Fast, action packed and enemies not far away. The graphics look good for what it is. Sadly Darksiders is another game/project that gets inspiration, ideas and stuff from the Bible and gives no credit to it. We don’t respect that at all. The developers have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will just have to wait and hear how Darksiders Genesis is received. by the gaming community. Now Darksiders Genesis may have demons and monsters but those are a joke compared to… the Earth Walk!’

Hovership Havoc is a sci-fi twin stick shooter game developed and published by ‘Snow Day Software‘. Hovership Havoc is said to be coming out on Xbox One the 17th of January 2020. It’s also out on PC. Now Hovership Havoc aim to be different from other twin stick shooters. Let’s just say it has something to do with a different perspective. Let’s take a look.

Now lets say what makes Hovership Havoc stand out from the others or should we say what they hope will make them stand out. There’s a top down view as you are playing through the levels but when you face a boss, you then have a third person view. That’s right. It becomes a third person shooter when you face a boss. Now that’s cool. 

Now Hovership Havoc has randomly generated levels. This includes everything concerning the level like the rooms in the levels, the enemies you will encounter and even the pickups you can get. So like spelunky, expect everything to be different all the time. 

There’s four different hoverships for you to select from in Hovership Havoc. Each one has their own weapons and their own stats. There are some abilities that you can get as you play like shields, drones, shockwave pulse, rockets and even shockwave pulse. There’s suppose to be more than 30.

There’s more than 15 types of enemies who all have no problem destroying you. In Hovership Havoc you will face them across 3 different environments which we hope stands out from each other nicely. Also don’t for get to collect orbs as you go because they are what will make your ship more powerful.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. The enemies do look pathetic tough, like they can’t d anything while the bosses look like a big threat. Seriously the enemies look like discount aliens from space invaders. Other from that it all looks smooth and good. The levels seem alright for now, reminding us of Assault Android Cactus

Overall, Hovership Havoc just seems like another twin stick shooter game but with their own secret weapon which is the third person shooter boss fights. Graphics and sounds are very good and we like the abilities. The developers ‘Snow Day Software’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now Hovership Havoc may have third person boss fights but no matter what perspective you have, you won’t beat… the ‘Earth Walk!’

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a new action fighting game developed by ‘Spike Chunsoft‘ and published by ‘Bandai Namco‘. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is said to be coming out on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC all on 28th of February 2020. Now many know who Saitama is and what he does. Let’s take a look.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is all about Saitma and the One Punch Man universe off course but it’s all about 3v3 battles. So team work. Gamers can build teams made up from the characters of the One Punch universe. Full list, currently shown on the website, of the in-game characters are: Deep Sea King, Silver Fang, Hellish Blizzard, our guy Genos, Carnage Kabuto, Terrible Tornado, Mumen Rider, Vaccine Man, Saitama (off course), Speed-O’-Sound Sonic, Mosquito Girl and Atomic Samurai. Now it has been stated that there are more characters but not revealed. We know about a lot of them.

There isn’t much to say here. Seriously though, if you’ve watched One Punch Man then you know what to expect, powerful monsters attacking pretty much every day and heroes are needed to defeat them. So just apply the context of this game that it’s going to be 3v3 combat. This is game in terms of concept is similar to ‘Jump Force’ in terms of a 3v3 team battles. Which raises a question and big issue for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Why are they doing this concept and gameplay. Why create a game that’s like Jump Force. Both are 3v3 and both have anime characters except Jump force has some One Punch Man and a whole lot more. Yes One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is solely focused on just One Punch Man but still not different enough. We need to see more.

We checked out some gameplay and it’s what we thought it would be. We saw some additional characters like King, Tank Top Master, Metal knight and Stinger. The combat seems combo based and has strong focus on character resource management. Keeping an eye on health, abilities, timing, weaknesses etc. It’s a team based beat em up game with your favourite or known characters of One Punch Man.

Overall One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows seems like a good game definitely. Graphics and sounds are very anime sounding and that suits it well given where it comes from. We just hope there is more to this game then just 3v3 beat em up. The developers ‘Spike Chunsoft’ have a done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear out open this one. Now One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows may have Saitama but even he is completely weak when compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

Pathologic 2 is an open world survival thriller game developed by ‘Ice-Pick Lodge‘ and published by ‘tinyBuild‘. Pathologic is said to be coming out on the Xbox One the 12th of December 2019 and PlayStation 4 in 2020. It’s already out on PC though. This game is supposed to be centred around a certain plague that’s destroying society. Let’s take a look. 

Pathologic 2 is open world, so expect a whole world. Basically everything is taking place in a town. This town isn’t normal at all. The town is being devastated by a deadly plague. This plague is more than just a disease. What’s worse is that the chief local healer is dead. The player must take his place. Now the developers make this perfectly clear that you can’t save everyone in Pathologic 2. You will be forced to make what’s called lose-lose choices in situations. You need to get to know the society and try to make some friends or allies if you want to call them that.

So you can play this in different ways. Either make some allies and be friends with the locals or you could either just look out for yourself and as they say, “carve out your own path”. When a plague is going on and people are dying with victims going crazy it’s normally better to have allies and people who can back you up. 

Now there is some danger off course in Pathologic 2. You probably thinking, well obviously X35 Earthwalker, you guys mentioned the plague but there’s more though, the victims of of the plague have also got a problem with you and will make survival somewhat difficult, so you are facing both the victims of the plague and the plague itself. You don’t have forever though. Players have 12 days. 

Like Sims you have to manage your hunger, thirst, tiredness etc. Pathologic 2 is all about survival. Off course at the start of the game, things will definitely be bearable but the game is designed to get harder and harder. Your body just get worse and worse and maybe an organ becomes more unstable than ever before.

We checked out some Pathologic 2 gameplay and it’s sort of what we expected. Fights in this game are short and vicious, you could fight people for their wallets or mug them. Some fights can cost you your life though. The one enemy you can’t really face is the plague itself. Remember that this plague is more than just a disease. Much more. 

Overall Pathologic 2 just looks like another survival game based heavily around choices you make in a set period of time. We haven’t seen anything that has gotten us interested in this game though. Nothing stands out to us. We have seen from reviews that it must be good but a game must be more than just a good game for us. The developers have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker aren’t looking forward to it being on consoles but others will. Now Pathologic may have a dangerous plague going around but even this plague has no effect on… the ‘Earth Walk!’
