AWAY: The Survival Series is a third person adventure game developed by ‘Breaking Walls studio’ and published by ‘Game seer ventures’. AWAY: The Survival Series is said to be coming out the 1st of June 2023 on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One. It’s already out on PlayStation and pc back in 2021. X35 Earthwalker never heard of this game before until recent. AWAY: The Survival Series just might be a different experience. Let’s take a look.
AWAY: The Survival Series has a simple story going on but serious. Basically players control certain creatures. They are described as the last remaining animals on earth. The top priority here is survival. The setting is a post apocalyptic looking future. The planet is described as decaying. Let the fight for survival begin.
AWAY: The Survival Series isn’t going to make it easy for you… hopefully. You can control a sugar glider. Which means some serious air time as you glide through the trees and off course face and fight predators. AWAY: The Survival Series has the main story off course but there’s also side quests too. So don’t be afraid to go off the beaten path… as they say.
We checked out some AWAY: The Survival Series gameplay and it’s not exactly what we expected. It’s a nature documentary that’s all about you. You fight larger foes and hunt down small prey. Some animal dudes are too much for you, so stealth is required. Apex predators are apex predators for a reason. How do you feel about crocodiles?… The other animals are lizards, beetles and crabs. You have to unlock them though. They are hidden, so make sure to be looking for them in the environments.
Overall AWAY: The Survival Series looks like a good game. Definitely something different and feels new even though it isn’t. Biggest concern is the difficulty of survival. Does look like it’s going to be an easy adventure and quite merciful. Sigh… The graphics are very good. The environments are excellent from what we can see. We like the variety in the areas. Definitely looks like places for animals and a world where the wildlife has now taken over. The developers ‘Breaking Walls studios’ have done a very good job. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what happens with AWAY: The Survival Series. Now AWAY: The Survival Series may have the last remaining animals but they would all be removed by… the ‘Earth Walk!’
After Us is an action adventure game developed by ‘Piccolo studios‘ and ‘Private Division’. After Us is said to be coming out the 23rd of May 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and pc. X35 Earthwalker will judge this game himself. After Us is doesn’t look like it’s playing around. Let’s take a look.
The story in After Us is that you are Gaia, the spirit of life. You are here to salvage souls. More specifically the souls of extinct animals… hey there Dodo bird. The last of the animals are dead and, who’s called mother, has used up all of her life force to save their souls. Gaia is to bring those souls back to mothers ark. So yeah, get out there and navigate your way to those souls.
After Us will have players learn the fates of these creatures as you revive them. Some examples were given. The final eagle was caged. The last whale was harpooned. The last deer was hunted down… probably tasted good too. So warning to players… things might get emotional. Weak players might cry.
After Us right off the gate does look really cool. It clearly wants to be a visually amazing type game. As in, as the player travels, you take in the sights and say wow. We have played multiple like that and so we will hold this game to a high but fair standard. So After Us… what chu got? We will say this though. We like that Gaia brings beauty and life back into the world. Undoing all the negative aspects of the world. It’s great to see. the effects need to be fitting and top level.
After Us is also a platformer game. So expect to move, explore, jump, and get around. Some even through in the puzzle description. So make sure your brain is activated for this one. Gaia has traversal abilities to help with the world navigation. Dash, jump and even glide. Good thing too as there’s some deadly traps… so we heard.
We checked out some After Us gameplay and it’s mostly what we expected. After Us certainly looks cool. We like what we see. Hopefully there’s good information concerning the world After Us is set in. There’s not just traps but also actual active threats. There’s devourers who are these “oil-covered” beings that roam the wasteland. They are looking for any remaining life.
Overall After Us looks like a very good game. We like the design of the animals souls and its effects. The visuals are excellent. The graphics are good. The animations are alright for 2023. The details are good. There’s definitely something going on here. The developers ‘Piccolo studios’ have done a very good job here. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open concerning After Us. Now After Us may have vulnerable souls but they would have been saved a long time ago but… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Amnesia: The Bunker is a first person horror game develop and published by ‘Frictional games‘. Amnesia: The Bunker is said to be coming out the 23rd of May 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker wasn’t impressed with the original Amnesia. Amnesia: The Bunker looks like it’s going to bring a heavier hit. Let’s take a look.
Amnesia: The Bunker is set in a World War one bunker. You are a french soldier Henri Clément. There’s no safety here though. It’s Amnesia. You should know what to expect. Dark areas, sounds, noises, danger, and ultimately you have to stay alive and sane. Almost as important as staying alive is keeping the lights on. Keep them on.
You aren’t defenceless in Amnesia: The Bunker. You have a revolver but only a single bullet in it… maybe you can find more. You can also get your hands on grenades which have an obvious purpose. Use a noisy dynamo flashlight and there’s also a pocket watch too. You know there’s puzzles involved. So players will have to use some of the old brain.
Amnesia: The Bunker has a crafting system so that means scavenging like a hobo is needed. Craft for the things you need to survive which is quite a bit as there’s what’s described as an “ever-present threat”. Something is here with you and it’s focused on you. Your moves and the sounds you make gets its attention. It will react. So players can’t have a linear play style. You must mix things up. We even heard there’s some randomised and unpredictable stuff going on. It’s been said that Amnesia: The Bunker makes sure no play through is the same.
We checked out some Amnesia: The Bunker gameplay and it’s what we expected. The visuals do look very good. The details are just alright. The lighting is excellent. The atmosphere doesn’t impress us but we are sure it will hit different when you played. We hope this game nails the mechanic of the major threat reacting to your actions and off course how your decisions affects the outcome. This mechanic alone when done right will be the game changer. Amnesia: The Bunker has been described as ‘semi-open world’.
Overall Amnesia: The Bunker looks like a very good game. When you factor in everything it seems like there’s a lot going on for a game of this type. There’s mysteries to be solved as well like what happened to the other soldiers and where are the officers? Hopefully most of these mysteries can only be learned and solved through information int her game and not spelled out for you. The exploring and diligent players can benefit. The developers ‘Frictional games’ have done a very good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now Amnesia: The Bunker may have an ever-present threat but it doesn’t even bother… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Nightmare Reaper is a 2.5D first person shooter game developed and published by ‘Blazing Bit games‘. Nightmare Reaper is said to be coming out the 11th of May 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker knows a good first person shooter when he sees it. We will be the judge. So, Nightmare Reaper… What chu got? Let’s take a look.
What’s the story here? You’re this lady who’s a patient at a psychiatric ward. You are in this room with lots of writings and scribbles and whatever on the walls. There’s mysterious notes too that have information concerning experiments… ominous ones. so day time is boring but once you go to bed it’s a whole different story. A nightmare filled with loads of monsters, demons, fighting weapons and death. So yeah, load up your weapons or other means of dealing death and fight for your life.
So right of the bat players might think of Ultimate Doom. We also think about Prodeus but not as much. Style too different. Nightmare Reaper is blending old school and modern gaming. You can upgrade and improve your character. Use your gold to purchase them. There’s also mini games, so do them for new abilities. Which you’ll need as we hear there’s a whole lot of enemies, loads of surprises and… and… treasure! We do like us some treasure.
We gone make this easy for you guys. If you like first person shooters then tick a box. If you like ultimate Doom, then tick another box. If you like classic old school style then tick another box. How many ticks do you have? Doesn’t matter, you will probably like this game. These nightmares have been described as “procedurally generated journeys” that “get tougher the more often you go”. So take that into account. Variety shouldn’t be a problem.
We checked out some Nightmare Reaper gameplay and it’s what we expected for the most part. We like the modern twists thrown in here and that that’s needed in todays gaming. there’s said to be like 80 different weapons. We have seen some crazy weapons. A game like this needs over powered dumb stuff to make things fun. There’s laser blasters, orb launching from hands, machine guns, double barrel shotguns, pump action shotgun, sword, M1 Garand, strong rifles, swarm launcher and more. You love to see it.
Overall nightmare Reaper looks like a good game. Silly, fast paced but crazy fun. You get to run around and blast away monsters and demons. The graphics are ugly though and we aren’t a fan. They could easily clean that up. There’s secrets to find. There’s multiple game modes. Random events and lots of danger. There’s a place for games like this. The developers ‘Blazing Bit games’ have done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open about this game. Nightmare Reaper may have crazy weapons but none of them is effective against… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is a turn based role playing game developed and published by ‘Cyberconnect2‘. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is said to be coming out the 11th of May on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker was waiting for this sequal and has specific expectations. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 looking like it wants to add a bit more of everything in here. Let’s take a look.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is back and it wants to be intense. So what’s happening now is that the children, a year later, are on another mission, in another tank. Confused? Let us explain. You did fight and win the war as shown in the first game but then the children got called by pharaoh to help with “the investigation of the recovered Taranis”. The tank goes crazy and heads out “on a deadly rampage”. It traps and absconds with a some people. Now Malt and the remaining youngsters give chase aboard… the Tarascus! What a change. So yeah, load your cannons and get to it.
Now if you played Fuga: Melodies of Steel then you already know what to expect from this game. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will play the same but remember what we said. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 wants to add a bit more of everything. So picture what you remember and then add more. For example some players will remember making some hard decisions… things will get harder and more important as your choices affect the judgement gauge. This will impact and change “how events play out.” Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 claims that players are the author of their own story. We hope Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 can get this ‘your choices affect the story’ mechanic right as many games fail at this.
Another thing that’s new and improved is the Soul Cannon. Thank goodness they made this change as X35 Earthwalker never used the Soul Cannon before. Being the best player of all time, he didn’t need it. The problem is that it’s so powerful and cool but you can’t use it. If you do, that’s a bad thing. So if you play very well and have excellent strategies, you never got to use an awesome weapon. Now there’s an Managarm. This Managarm is like a smaller Soul Cannon and it only drains the energy of a child, not devour their soul. So the kid who powers it will just be unavailable until the next intermission.
The judgement gauge will also unlock you new abilities known as leader skills. These make choices matter more as you want to unlock as many abilities as possible for more strategies and options so players may want to get a blend of both sides. Both Sides? Empathy and Resolution. Not sure why they are on opposites ends as it’s easy to do both but here in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, your choices are either one or the other. ‘We strike first’ is from the Resolution side and it lets you and your allies attack first. ‘Careful’ is from the empathy side and it hexes an enemies sight to make its attack fail’. So think about this.
We checked out some Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 gameplay and it’s what we expected. We liked that the battle system has been upgraded and improved. We hope for more use for the children who don’t get used in combat and mostly warm the bench. It’s good to hear that the improvements and new additions to the battle system was based on player feedback. Shows they are listening. There’s also changes to the branch routes you take on your journey, including calling in an airship to back you up. You can get an air raid, supplies or be transported to another destination. This again adds more to what’s happening. New character as well, Vanilla, first daughter of Gasco. She looks like she means business.
The weight of despair, rage, and loss will shake you to your core in Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2—the RPG of hard choices and tough decisions!
Overall Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is looking like an excellent game and a step up from the first game. Many players have gone through some emotions on their journey through Fuga: Melodies of Steel. Well Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is saying it wants to turn this up. Expect “despair, rage and loss.” The developers ‘Cyberconnect2’ have done a fantastic job so far. We at ‘X35 Earthwalker‘ are going to keep our eyes on this game. Now Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 may have a new tank and firepower but it’s not effective against… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Minecraft Legends is a real time action strategy game developed by ‘Mojang Studios‘ and ‘Blackbird Interactive‘ but published by ‘Xbox Game Studios‘. Minecraft Legends is a big game with lots of ‘room potential’. X35 Earthwalker has already dived into Minecraft Legends. There’s lots to see. So here are X35’s initial thoughts and some gameplay. Let’s take a look.
Minecraft Legends is definitely a completely different thing for Minecraft. Matter of fact on the same day that Minecraft Legends came out we played Minecraft Dungeons. That was an excellent game but very different from what was to come. The opening cutscenes are real clean and truly explain what’s going on. We get introduced to these very important beings known as ‘Knowledge, Foresight and Action’. They basically call you, summon you, somewhat arm you and depend on you to save their world. We have questions definitely. Like does out character know these beings? Why did he so quickly accept to help them? What’s the reward? To list a few.
Now the controls are a big one though. There’s many mechanics and many things you can do and control. You can control and command units under your control, you can build structures, harvest materials, select upgrades (basically), do specific commands concerning the movements and strategy for your units. This is a lot of stuff but it can get deeper like selecting specifically which unit or unit types do your command. We like that this provides lots of room for strategy and offers more controls for players. Now you will need some time to get use to all these controls before you can truly flow. Movement is smooth and makes sense. No issues with movement.
There’s different mounts in Minecraft Legends. X35 Earthwalker found a beetle… Brilliant Beetle. It has the ability to climb any surface basically. So walls don’t matter. So yeah, looking forward to seeing what other mounts there are but we doubt X35 will be changing anytime soon. The progression in Minecraft Legends seem fair and you feel it fast. You need the resources to build new things including structures that will unlock the means to gather new materials like Redstone and iron. You get access to new units very quickly and so your army capabilities grows.
Speaking of units players will start off with a melee and ranged unit. Cobblestone golem and plank golem. Both are useful and have totally different functions but the plank golem is definitely far more effective so far. It definitely looks like the cobblestone golem needs a damage buff for destroying structures. Destroying structures is basically their main function and yet they don’t seem that efficient at it. They need a small power up. More units are on the way. Players can also command other things too. You can command skeletons, creepers and zombies. so recruit them and mix them with your army. They of course have their own attacks. The creatures and beings of the Overworld support you clearly. The fact that there’s fixed times to events add pressure to players. for example you will learn of an attack that the piglins have planned. They WILL attack tonight. You have to be there or that village or location will actually get attacked. So be prepared. The world is quite alive and has action going on. Time matters, especially when it comes to day and night.
Now lots of good things are said but here’s a big negative. Structure building… more like the taking it down part… more specifically the walls. You can place out a whole stretch of walls but a wall is that one square space. So when you are removing a part of the wall, you have to select each individual part and remove it. The option to hold down the button to remove the wall doesn’t appear instantly. You have to stand still by it for a moment. The whole process is slow. Maybe there is a way to highlight and select multiple wall segments for removal but we haven’t been told about it or shown in the game yet. We hope that gets sorted out. Also it doesn’t seem like we can get of the mount. Lame but if that’s the design choice then so be it. Some resources are much harder to find than others. As you be running around for a good while and still not find any. A bit more frequency would be good but we are on a higher difficulty and it does say that resources are less frequent so yeah… there’s that.
The map is very useful and gives the details that matter. We don’t like that the note showing your name is constantly there. It gets in the way and is annoying. There needs to be a way to remove it to make the map experience better. Raiding piglins structures and fighting them does feel good but those pigeons definitely have the advantage right now with their units. We have seen some big strong piglins who even act like artillery but direct though. Currently feeling outclassed but we making it happen though. What’s great its you can build certain structures to aid you in combat against the enemy. You can build stairs that lead up so you can get to the higher ground. Fortnite players will like and understand this. You can build a well house to act as a point of fast travel and a place to respawn too if defeated. So as you can see, players will have to plan and set up before a raid.
Here’s some Minecraft Legends gameplay below. Fun fact: Did you know that X35 Earthwalker found some, let’s say treasure, at the top of some trees. After a bit of parkour, he got it. So yeah, explore and keep your eyes open for goodies.
Overall Minecraft Legends so far is excellent. The developers have done an excellent job. There’s lots to do and get started on. There tons of potential here too. You just know updates and additions are coming to the game to enhance the world. We do what to see more though. It’s excellent but not where we want it to be and it’s not where it should be. Minecraft Legends is worth playing. We are aware of the competitive move against other players and additional modes but we are here for the campaign. Lastly Minecraft Legends being on Xbox Game Pass makes everything better. We can play this game on the move too. Something PlayStation can’t do. We will leave this here. X35 Earthwalker stands at the top. Now Minecraft Legends may have a hero and real time world but it’s all too slow and small for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is basically an interactive talking simulator game developed and published by ‘Toge Productions‘. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is said to be coming out the 20th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker suspiciously is feeling a cup of green tea right now. Looks like Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly wants to have some conversations. Let’s take a look.
Coffee Talk is back! We are happy to see this for sure. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly doesn’t have a story really. It’s more like multiple stories going on. The original Coffee Talk had multiple characters and they talked about what was going on in their lives, opinions and even events happening in their world. So we believe that Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will be the same. Basically you are a barista and you serve drinks to customers in a coffee shop and maybe have a conversation with them or hear them out. It’s good to talk after all. So yeah. That’s the game.
On the surface yes it sounds lame. When X35 Earthwalker, the man himself, first discovered Coffee Talk he knew it wasn’t his type of game at all… but he knew there was something interesting and even special about this game. He gave it a try and never regretted it. Ended up writing about it and made some gameplay videos on it. Coffee Talk is an excellent game! So yeah we are excited for Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. Of course we are. We want more!
Let’s start with the title of the new game. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. They added episode 2 which suggests that the developers has plans for more to come. We hope so but let’s see what episode has 2 first. Now the ‘Hibiscus & Butterfly’ part. A flower and insect. Both described as beautiful. This does give us clues on what we can expect from the characters and their talks. We hope to see more. What we can see those is new characters, new drinks and new recipes. The characters also have more and improved animations. So there’s a clear upgrade in this game over the prequel. The facial expressions are bigger and of more variety. You love to see it… YES, YOU, DO!
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly isn’t just talking. As mentioned you serve the customers drinks. These can be fun. Customers sometimes cross paths. They meet each other, get together, or even clash. Sometimes there’s drama like arguments, family issues and obstacles. Matter of fact in the original Coffee Talk there was a moment where a werewolf literally went into his full mad mode and entered the store. You had to know what drink was needed to let’s say calm him down. So yeah we wonder if more big events will take place in Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. Expect multiple stories and maybe some drama.
We checked out some Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly and it’s what we expected. Take one look at Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly and you will understand the whole game. You are serving drinks and listening to conversations. Now if it is a latte drink then you have the opportunity to do latte art. You can get creative with the drinks, learn new recipes by trying new ingredients or the same in different order. Check characters profiles, choose the music for your shop. Simple stuff that make a difference. The main factor of Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is the content and characters. Now of course we want to see more. This is the next big game. We know exactly what we want from this game but let’s see what the developers have got.
Overall Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly looks like a fantastic game so far. The graphics are basically the same and the graphic style. The animations are off course improved. There seems to be more scenes in the game as well. We still in Seattle too. The developers ‘Toge Productions’ have done a fantastic job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker are definitely looking forward to this game. Might grab a drink as well. Now Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly may have new drinks and characters but even together they aren’t better than… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Stray Blade is an action role playing game developed by ‘Point Blank Games‘ and published by ‘505 Games‘. Stray Blade is said to be coming out 20th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, PS5 and pc. X35 Earthwalker took notice of this game. He will be the judge. Looks like Stray Blade is bringing a big adventure. Let’s take a look.
Stray Blade has a not so simple story with some stuff in mystery but in terms of an action rpg, you know what to expect for sure concerning this story. So here we go. This all taking place in Acrea the lost valley. You died in this place though. Time passes, not stated how much but you also somehow came back to life. What’s the catch? You can’t leave this place now. Yep… you are stuck here.
Now Acrea the Lost Valley can be described as a forgotten place. It’s wild with the greenery and clearly overgrown. If you couldn’t tell by now, there’s some powerful stuff about this place or going on. They’re legends about this place. Players must restore balance to this land. There’s stuff going on in Stray Blade. So be prepared.
We didn’t even talk about the characters in Stray Blade. You play as ‘a rouge adventurer’. Looking like master shifu’s cousin from kung fu panda. Small red panda like animal. Your ally? The Xhinnon wolf… Boji. This dude looking like a menace as you can’t see his face, just darkness. He got real armour. These are the two characters. Your mission is to get out of Acrea.
There is a variety of foes from humanoid wielding weapons to straight up creatures. Some large creatures as well with big swings to take you down. Players will need to get optimal with their attacks, manage their guard, time their dodges in order to defeat these enemies. These battles do look difficult as in you can die quite quickly if you mess up. Acquire skills for you to use in combat, watch your weight as you equip gear, craft what you need to be prepared. There’s definitely quite a bit going on.
We checked out some Stray Blade gameplay and it’s what we expected. It does remind us of Lord of the Fallen. Stray Blade will force players to get good at it. Casual players should be on their guard. There’s even a parry which obviously will give an advantage for the success of the technique. Very colourful game for sure. We do like what we see. Graphics and visuals have had a big step up from 2022 gameplay trailer. Details game has been stepped up.
Overall Stray Blade looks like a good game. We aren’t impressed and have seen enough to pull us in yet. We definitely want to see more. We truly hope Stray Blade takes full advantage of the world they have created. This is a forgotten lost land. It has legends about it and mysteries. There’s greenery everywhere. You can put almost anything in this world and setting. So don’t be average with this. The developers ‘Point Blank games’ have done a good job so far but we need to see more. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now Stray Blade may have a forgotten land but one thing that can never be forgotten is… the ‘Earth Walk!’
DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is an action adventure game developed by ‘Sandbloom Studios‘ and published by ‘Handygames‘. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is said to be coming out the 14th of April 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. X35 Earthwalker has his own view concerning blocks. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters looking kind of blocky. Let’s take a look.
DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters has a story. Quite simple though. You basically wake up in this mysterious and very different world. Of course everything isn’t fine. There’s something going on and they need a hero to save the day. Maybe, just maybe… you are that hero.
Check out this description of the game “Embark on a surreal afterlife journey to uncover the secrets of the broken and enigmatic Plane of Memory in this atmospheric adventure with hints of stealth. Immerse yourself in a warm voxel world presented with an intense cinematic approach. Dive into a profound, introspective experience, encounter its diverse inhabitants, and become the hero that saves the day!”
A lot of details has gone into this game. They worked to produce ‘realistic vfx’. We hope to see this done well. Motion capture was used for animations as well. This means character movements are going to be realistic and hopefully clean. We hear there’s even ‘complex cinematographic features’. Also take notice of the textures in this game though. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters may be taking the simple road.
We checked out some DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters gameplay and it’s what we expected. We definitely do like this big mysterious yet very blocky world. There’s a lot to see here. Even though you control a skeleton, this game doesn’t make us respect skeletons. Seems like a weak character for sure. Not impressed. Maybe if it did the dance… we might change our minds. The best thing about DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters is definitely the environments and visuals. We like what we see. The Skeleton runs too slowly too. Meat or not, you need to move faster.
Overall DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters looks like a good game. The puzzles are here and the particle effects here too. Looking good as well. DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters has something but we can see where it is lacking. Definitely a good game though. We just want to see more of the world. The developers ‘Sandbloom studios’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters to see what’s happening. Now DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters may have a skeleton and a very blocky world but the blocks are not blocky enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
Dredge is a single player adventure game developed by ‘Black salt games‘ and published by ‘Team 17‘. Dredge is said to be coming out the 30th of March 2023 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and pc. Fishing can be good fun… sometimes. X35 Earthwalker has the best wisdom for those who want to fish. Dredge might be on to something. Let’s take a look.
Dredge has a simple story. You are out here fishing. You like fishing? Well we don’t care and neither does Dredge. So fish already. Yes it isn’t just all fishing. There’s also something sinister going on. This isn’t just fishing. There’s something. We aren’t going to say. Yes, we do know.
So yeah. Head out on your boat, catch some fish and make a profit. Maybe you will buy a bigger boat to catch even more fish or maybe for traversal reasons. Regardless it’s all about the fishing. When you have time though… make sure to talk to the locals and residents. Most are normal-ish but there’s some who need to be kept an eye on.
Once you are equipped maybe you can dredge the depths of the waters to find treasure or just some buried secrets that are relevant to the plot. This archipelago has mysteries and you have to find out what’s going on. Certainly has nothing to do with a creepy dude holding a book.
We checked out some Dredge gameplay and it’s what we expected. What we like the most though is that cool sea creature. A game like Dredge needs actual danger and threats to bring in some interest level. Players will need to keep an eye on the waters. We hope the difficulty is there. There needs to be some sort of fear. After all a straight up fishing game normally doesn’t sell well. We can already see how to do this game.
Overall Dredge seems like an alright game. We aren’t impressed at all nor interested. It’s missing some elements. We like that there’s some mysteries happening. We like the style of the cargo layout and holding. We like there’s progression and our favourite is the big sea creature but everything seems to be to a smaller level. The developers ‘Black salt games’ have put some work in. We at X35 Earthwalker like underwater creatures and will have to listen up for news concerning this game. Now Dredge may have a big fish but it’s not scary enough for… the ‘Earth Walk!’
