X35 Earthwalker FAR: Changing Tides

FAR: Changing Tides is a vehicle led adventure game developed by ‘Okomotive‘ and published by ‘Frontier Foundry‘. FAR: Changing Tides is said to be coming out the 1st of March 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. FAR: Changing Tides is looking cool and quite familiar at the same time. Let’s take a look.

FAR: Changing Tides is all about a boy named Toe. No not Toe from Happy’s Humble Burger Farm. this boy finds himself in a flooded world. things are destroyed, abandoned and in some parts, not safe. It’s just Toe and his ship. You are the captain of the ship off course. Your objective? Finding a new home. This off course won’t be a simple or straight forward journey.

X35 Earthwalker FAR: Changing Tides

Now FAR: Changing Tides does look familiar to X35 Earthwalker. That’s because FAR: Changing Tides is part of the FAR world. The first game X35 Earthwalker already wrote about in the G-Blogs. It’s FAR: Lone Sails. Where you was also a captain of a ship but you was in a desert world. Your ship went through the sands and you had some dangerous weather hazards and conditions to deal with while doing maintenance on your ship. FAR: Changing Tides is the same world but different area. Instead of sand, it’s water this time… for a bigger deeper challenge.

So expect a similar formula. There’s some water hazards like stormy seas. Your ship also has the ability to dive and go under water. This opens up a whole world of exploration. This world isn’t dead either. Ocean life exists and you can come across jelly fish and other creatures. We like the transition of being on the water surface to being under the water. Looks awesome.

X35 Earthwalker FAR: Changing Tides

FAR: Changing Tides is an adventure of Toe and his ship. Maintenance of the ship is still a real thing. As your journey, you must find and unlock parts for your ship. fix your ship and make repairs where needed. As you progress you’ll learn a whole lot more about your ship and it’s abilities. So go light the furnace, raise the the mast and even hoist and angle the sails. Players are very much involved with what’s going on.

X35 Earthwalker FAR: Changing Tides

It doesn’t end there. In FAR: Changing Tides you have to go out of your ship and explore the waters by yourself too. Players will have to search the depths of the waters to find salvage and hopefully fuel. You put on some equipment and head on out. Even down there you see sea life too. We loved that the whale was there and it does look intimidating but it’s a cool moment and we hope to see more of that in FAR: Changing Tides.

We checked out some FAR: Changing Tides gameplay and it’s what we expected. It does look cool. We naturally prefer the water world over the desert as there’s more going on in FAR: Changing Tides. FAR: Lonely Sails had no life really, there’s no creatures or exciting dangers from like a giant creature or something. So it’s unfair but that’s what’s happening. There’s definitely puzzles for the players to overcome, along with the environmental hazards which we hope are real dangers and exciting.

Overall FAR: Changing Tides looks like a good game. Here’s what they said concerning the sounds and music, “A dynamic soundtrack reacts to player and environmental actions, amplifying key moments in the game and heightening the atmosphere”. We don’t see this being impactful but let’s see. We like the visuals and water. The jellyfish looked awesome, the whale was cool and the waters look fantastic. The animations are  excellent for the creatures too. The developers ‘Okomotive’ have done a very good job. X35 Earthwalker will have to see what FAR: Changing Tides, surfaces. Now FAR: Changing Tides may have a flooded world but it’s way too shallow for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Unbound: Worlds Apart

Unbound: Worlds Apart is a Puzzle Platformer game developed and published by ‘Alien Pixel studios‘. Unbound: Worlds Apart is said to be coming out the 9th of February 2022 on the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 but it’s already out on Nintendo Switch and PC. Unbound: Worlds Apart huh? Not for long. Let’s take a look. By the way we are trying a new thing concerning the X35 Earthwalker G-Blogs. See for yourself.

X35 Earthwalker Unbound: Worlds Apart

Unbound: Worlds Apart is all about Soli, the main character. Some catastrophe has ravaged his world. He seeks to learn more about this event. The origin of it, what happened, why, etc?. Now platformer games need to stand out from each other and do something cool like a whole new or unique mechanic. Unbound: Worlds Apart has their own thing. Soli can create portals. Magic portals. He uses these to travel between different dimensions.

X35 Earthwalker Unbound: Worlds Apart

Focus on the portals as that’s what Unbound: Worlds Apart is all about. So basically inside these portals, that look more like circle area space you open up, physical properties of the world elements and even characters can change. Look again at the images we put up above. So a nice green forest area but when you open a portal you see more like a fiery volcano area. Where there was grass, you now see deadly spikes etc. We do like this mechanic. Nice move Unbound: Worlds Apart.

X35 Earthwalker Unbound: Worlds Apart

Yes, there are dangers off course in Unbound: Worlds Apart. Besides the natural environment as a platformer has. there are enemies. Dangerous creatures that you can mess with, using your portals. Remember in the portals even the physical properties of creatures and more can change. Their behaviour can change too. So you have to deal with these creatures and it requires using a bit of your brain to do it. What’s strange is that the developers left gamers a serious warning. This has built our interest. Here’s what the warning says, “Beware of the lady bugs!” now that has to make you wonder, what kind of lady bug are we dealing with here?

Overall Unbound: Worlds Apart looks like a good game right now. We like the mechanic. We like the graphics and graphic style as it works here. We like the animations. They are good. Particle effects and glowing lights are very good too. We like how the portals are not just a cool mechanic but also brings about some new ideas and ways to handle or play certain parts. The developers ‘Alien Pixel Studios’ have done a very good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker, the best game designers of all time, will keep an eye out for Unbound: Worlds Apart. Now Unbound: Worlds Apart may have different reality portals but those have no impact on… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

ELEX II is an action role playing game (RPG) developed by Piranha Bytes and published by ‘THQ Nordic‘. ELEX II is said to be coming out the 1st of March 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. ELEX is back. This has caught our attention. Let’s take a look.

ELEX II is back in the “post apocalyptic science fantasy world” of Magalan. What’s happening this time? Basically the Hybrid was defeated by Jax some years ago but now a new danger is here… coming from the sky. Everything on the planet is in danger. These invaders are too powerful for Jax alone. His mission this time is to get out there and convince the many different factions to unite and work together to beat the invaders. Easy right?

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

ELEX II is keeping the huge open world approach which is a good thing. Players are given more freedom here. This is what the description says, “The game allows you to explore the planet of Magalan with unprecedented freedom”. Unprecedented is a serious word here. So we will hold the developers to this very word. Players have a jetpack allowing them to fly around and explore the world just like Anthem. Anthem brought the amazing in game flight mechanic and made it fun. We hope ELEX II took notes and did it just as well. Flying is such an awesome way to do things so this is good. This does bring up questions concerning the big world that players can explore. How biggish it? What things are there for players to discover. How difficult is the world? Is ELEX II going to be a difficult game? Will there be level zones? Many questions for sure but we are patient.

Let’s look at the factions. There’s: The albs, berserkers, outlaws, morkons, skyands and clerics. These 6 don’t sound impressive The berserkers basically had no technology and was very simple, medieval even but ended up getting access to magic. The morkons basically locked themselves away and don’t trust anyone or eat much. They became savages and want to destroy others. Skyands get their power from the dark elex and they seek to infect everything. Basically the bad guys. No one can beat them. The albs basically gained magic, meaning they have both magic and technology. They lost their emotions and empathy in the process. The clerics are highly technical and believe they are the only ones who can save the world, destroying those who don’t join their mission. The outlaws are the losers. They uses flex to make drugs. They get high and do whatever they want. Murder, steal whatever. the law of the strongest is their mantra.

X35 Earthwalker ELEX II

The world is said to be intractable. Players off course will be interacting with the factions. This whole world is filled with NPCs. Listen to what the game says about them. That the NPCs will remember what you do and react accordingly. That they will join or leave your group and it’s based on how you act and what you do. they also can be killed. them dying or living does have an impact on the story. We wonder how far this goes though. What if you get everyone killed? Are there any characters that just can’t be killed? Are there different endings. Does their view or relationship with the player effect combat and in game play like troops on the road? Games try to get the ‘consequences of your actions’ mechanic and most fail. We actually don’t know a game that does it well yet. We hope ELEX II do better.

We checked out some ELEX II gameplay and it’s less than what we expected. It doesn’t look as smooth and animated as we hoped. Yes that it isn’t the final build but we can only judge based of what we can see. It should be improved drastically. The flying isn’t as good as it is in Anthem either. We will have to wait for that to be improved as well. Remember that ELEX II is suppose to be next gen open world action RPG. So off course we expect lot. The morkons look disappointing. Thought they would look more different from regular people. Judging from their description, we expected them to clearly stand out. We knew about ELEX and didn’t care overall so ELEX II has to be special to get us into it. ELEX II can be very good and has the room for it but delivering is a different story.

Overall ELEX II looks like it’s going to be an alright game. We want to be proved wrong though. We want it to be great but we haven’t seen enough though. The combat looks simple. Remember that this is still early. More work is going to be done. We are looking forward to seeing the variety in the ELEX II world. The developers ‘Piranha bytes’ have done an alright job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to see what ELEX II looks like and does when it’s released. Now ELEX II may have a new threat but this threat is a simple problem for… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead: The Game is an action adventure game developed by ‘Boss Team Games‘ and published by ‘Saber Interactive‘. Evil Dead: The Game said to be coming out in February 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Evil Dead: the game is looking kind of interesting right now. Looking like another zombie game so we hope to see something special. Let’s take a look.

Evil Dead: The Game is off course based on the Evil Dead… the characters and the franchise. It’s a multiplayer focused game. A team of four characters must work together to battle against evil forces. These evil forces came from the necronomicon ex-mortis. So you know these are bad dudes. There’s quite the range of characters to choose from. You can play as lord arthur, pablo simon bolivar, Ash, scotty, “and more”. You know they have their own voice lines, dialogue, brought to you by people like Bruce Campbell. Work has gone into this game.

X35 Earthwalker Evil Dead: The Game

Now Evil Dead: The Game this can be treated as a multiplayer zombie game. After all X35 Earthwalker are the gaming experts. So you therefore know what to expect. The enemies are called deadites. The four characters must work together to survive. Exploration is needed, so don’t be a coward and sprint through to avoid stuff. Looting is a mechanic, so that means crafting is a thing. So go make the weapons you need and the weapons you want. There’s a “managing your fear” mechanic too. We would like to know more about this. The players main objective really is to find key artifacts which are needed to seal the breach between worlds.

X35 Earthwalker Evil Dead: The Game

Now working together is all good and stuff… but you can be the player to control the Kandarian demon in Evil Dead: The Game. That’s right. Someone can be that thing. It’s job is to hunt down the characters and swallow their souls. The kandarian demon can possess deadites, the environment and even the survivors themselves. This creature is clearly a problem. So watch out.

We checked out some Evil Dead: The Game gameplay and it’s what we expected. Besides the chainsaw hand, it looks like another zombie game. You swing, slash, bow and arrow, smash, shoot and fight your way through the enemies. Covering each others backs, surviving and now off course watching out for the kandarian demon who is exclusive to Evil Dead: The Game. We see clean animations and the visuals of the characters are nice. Still we see basic character design but they are based on already existing characters. Things look good. The graphics are very good.

Overall Evil Dead: The Game looks like it’s going to be good but we haven’t seen enough to make it stand out as it’s own thing from the many zombie games. Back 4 Blood is out, so you see what we mean. Off course the kandarian demon, especially being controlled by a player does shakes things up. So we will have to see how it all plays out. The developers ‘Boss Team Games’ have done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker like to see new mechanics and ideas. Now Evil Dead: The Game may have a kandarian demon but that thing gets wrecked by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Scarlet Nexus

Scarlet Nexus is awesome. It’s an excellent game for sure. X35 Earthwalker confirms this game. People aren’t talking about it much and that’s a shame and a sign of how simple thinking gamers are now. If it isn’t a big fancy explosions shooter game, or a long time series, it gets sort of ignored. scarlet Nexus is a game we definitely recommend to all. This isn’t the full review as we want to focus on one aspect of this game. The combat. The combat is amazing but more specifically what you can do. Let’s take a look.

Scarlet Nexus combat reminds us of Final Fantasy XV. You fight with your allies and work together to face the enemies. In Final Fantasy XV you had Ignis, Gladdiolus and Prompto. In Scarlet Nexus you have the choice later on of 9 allies. Now Final Fantasy XV has the best combat gameplay, so Scarlet Nexus having something similar is literally a good thing. You fight while your allies move around and attack on their own. You can change their combat behaviour or tactics as they are called. Either have one or both attack the same target you attack or go for another, get defensive, or do whatever you they want etc. Giving players control and options is good. There’s more though.

X35 Earthwalker Scarlet Nexus

There’s also the SAS. Not the special forces of the UK. The SAS is basically a system where the people with powers can link and share their abilities with each other temporarily. So someone with pyrokinesis can temporality use electricity from an ally who has electrokinesis. So you can use your allies powers which are, pyrokinesis, clairvoyance, teleportation, sclerokinesis, Invisibility, duplication, hyperspeed and electrokinesis. You can use any one of these as long as they are charged up. When using them, they drain down and when not being used, recharge over time. Your allies gets new abilities as you bond with them as in become better friends. They get new abilities and effects that help you out. For example. If you get your people to level three, you unlock the ability to call them in to do a special attack which is powerful and can lead to a mind crush real fast.

X35 Earthwalker Scarlet Nexus

Here’s where things get crazy. The combos! You know how you can attack, use your abilities then bring in Prompto to weaken the enemy, then Ignis with a link command to do an all out team attack, then use your armiger to keep up the pressure and immense damage while you build up more meter, so when armiger runs out, you can call in your friends again. Scarlet Nexus has the same thing. You can strike an opponent, then call in Hanabi to give your attacks fire and flame effects to set enemies on fire and increase damage. You can then call in Tsugumi to do her combo vision to deal big damage and stun the enemy. Then call in Gemma to do his combo vision to smash the enemy and knock them over. Then beat on the enemy some more. You activate duplication so you hurl double items and do more damage. Then the enemy gets up so you activate sclerokinesis to completely negate damage, all the while your other SAS abilities are recharging, so you can do it again. It doesn’t end there. There’s more.

There’s another ability. The assault visions. These are powerful attacks from your allies that only trigger when you attack an unguarded enemy. When that happens you get prompt command. Hit the buttons and then your ally does a powerful attack that knocks even bosses down or stun them. Our favourite is definitely Tsunami’s. Her one is like the strongest pistol fire ever. Even Prompto from Final Fantasy VX will have to take her seriously with that ability. Throw these all together and you completely overwhelm even bosses if you play it right. You start of with four options but later in the game you get all the characters and thus multiple combo visions, assault visions, SAS abilities, added defence and string them along nicely. We know there is also brain drive and brain field but we won’t talk about those here. In fact you can use brain field as the ultimate ender.

So yeah, just wanted to talk (write) about Scarlet Nexus and it’s awesome combat system. The enemy hit real hard and can kill you within seconds if you aren’t careful. Yet you have numerous many powers to the point where you truly feel powerful or maybe over powered at some point. Master it all and you can’t lose… well you can, not X35 Earthwalker. X35 is a superior gamer to you after all. Now you may have numerous powers in scarlet Nexus but even with all of those, you don’t stand a chance against… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker A Memoir blue

A Memoir Blue is a you could say is an heavy story telling adventure game. Interactive fiction. Developed by ‘Cloisters Interactive’ and published by ‘Annapurna Interactive’. A Memoir Blue is said to be coming out the 10th of February 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Here’s a serious story. Let’s take a look.

A memoir blue is clearly another big story experience. This is how it’s described, “A song from years ago triggers a flood of memories for champion swimmer Miriam. Embark on an evocative journey through her turbulent childhood and the complicated relationship she shared with her devoted mother.” It’s an adventure yes, especially for the main character but we are going for the ride.

X35 Earthwalker A Memoir blue

Remember that Annapurna interactive was also publishing Twelve Minutes, that same game that went viral and many people were watching and playing it. So we do have some expectations for A Memoir Blue. It’s interactive so players will need to click here, move there etc. Games like this will require focus and attention. The story is revealed and information is in the details.

Now A Memoir Blue sounds like it’s going to be a serious game. In terms of theme, emotions and story. It says, “turbulent childhood and the complicated relationship she shared with her devoted mother”. This alone tells us what to expect. It’s not going to be an all sunshine and rainbows type thing. Expect hardships, sacrifice, shocks and more.

X35 Earthwalker A Memoir blue

We noticed the graphic style change, in A Memoir Blue, from when we are controlling the main character in the present versus past recollections and the flood of memories. Many believe that a parents love for their child is something serious. Specifically a mothers. This should play out here. Our character becoming a champion swimmer isn’t a easy thing, she must have pushed, trained and worked real hard with a supportive mother by her side. A Memoir Blue’s story has the potential to be big.

X35 Earthwalker A Memoir blue

We checked out some A Memoir Blue gameplay and it’s not exactly what we expected.m It definitely seems more visual based than reading. We like the relatable factor concerning how this whole adventure happened in the first place. Sometimes, all you need to hear is that one song, play that one game, hear a certain line and it brings back some memories… good and not so good. So we can believe and relate to that.

Overall A Memoir Blue seems like it can be a good game. We hope it isn’t all visual, as in sit back and watch. It’s a video game after all, get us involved. We like how visually good the environment looks. Nice graphics for sure. We are very unimpressed with the character model design. Lame. The developers ‘Cloisters Interactive’ have done a good job here. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an ear open for this game. Now A Memoir blue may have a deep story but it’s real shallow compared to… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Asteroid: Recharged

Asteroids: Recharged is a action arcade shooter game developed by Sneakybox and Adamvision studios but published by Atari. Asteroids: Recharged is said to be coming out the the 14th of December 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4 and PC. Asteroids is back and it’s coming new stuff. Let’s take a look.

Let’s keep this simple with Asteroid: Recharged. It’s Asteroid. Like come on. If you don’t know what this game is then we don’t want to help you. Just open up another page on your search engine and type in ‘asteroid game’. You’re welcome. Now concerning the rest of y’all who aren’t uncultured swine, read the rest of this G-blog post. Asteroid is back and modernised. This includes new, better controls and off course superior graphics.

X35 Earthwalker Asteroid: Recharged

Asteroid: Recharged is not just controls and visuals. There’s new gameplay mechanics and features too. There’s new power ups and weapons to help you. There’s rail guns, spread shots and even reflector shields and more. There’s not just asteroids. There’s these annoying  UFOs that have some anger issues. They are after you. So take them down… if you can.

X35 Earthwalker Asteroid: Recharged

We checked out some Asteroid: Recharged gameplay and it’s what we expected. You are the computer cursor arrow thing. You move around, dodge, stay alive and blast everything really. The UFOs look stupid but they don’t care. They want to kill you. The best thing about Asteroid: Recharged is that there’s local co-op… unlike Halo Infinite. Every mode gives the option for local co-op. Excellent decision.

Overall Asteroid: Recharged looks like an excellent game. Simple game but seems to work well. The action can get serious when asteroids start closing in from all around. We like the visuals of a destroyed large asteroid. Looks excellent. Modernising old retro games is an easy job and are mostly done good. The developers ‘Sneakybox’ and ‘Adamvision studios’ have done an excellent job. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to just wait and see what Asteroid: Recharged will do. Now Asteroid: Recharged may have been modernised but what’s always modern is… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Blackwind

Blackwind is a hack n slash shooter platformer game developed by ‘Drakkar Dev’ and published by ‘Blowfish studios’ and ‘Gamera Game’. Blackwind is said to be coming out January the 20th 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Mac and PC. We enjoy a good mech game. Let’s take a look.

Now just the genres alone should give experienced players a good idea of what to expect. In the world of Blackwind, humanity is off course advanced in technology and ideas. Humans have a mining colony on a planet called Medusa-42. Aliens known as Raknos have invaded. Now off course you realise, this means war. Take control of James Hawkins (lame name) who is the definition of a rookie. “No formal training” and “finds himself in a Battle Frame”. It’s a start at the bottom and make your way up. Become powerful and feared.

  X35 Earthwalker Blackwind

Hack and slash which means it’s safe for players to dive head first into Blackwing and have fun. Start smashing everything you come across. It doesn’t matter. There could be a mother pushing a baby buggy. It’s her fault for being in a battlefield. Blast em all. Blackwind has melee attacks and moves. There’s off course ranged attacks for blasting foes. There’s also “special attacks” too for those more fancy kills and maneuver-ish like stuff. So don’t worry. Just fight and fight.

You can upgrade your Battle Frame in Blackwind across three branching paths. So really decide how you want to play. Either upgrade and become the mech with energy blades for ripping and tearing close range combat but you can then get tactical by backing up real fast and launch missiles to blow stuff up from the comfort of safety. Then you can combine these tactics with your more special abilities.

X35 Earthwalker Blackwind

We do like the platforming parts of the adventure in Blackwind. It feels like exploration. Parts like this in games have room for secrets and collectibles and stuff to find that are off use. We know that there is a drone you can send out. It’s much smaller than you are so it can go into and search places that your oversized self con’s get into. Lose some weight. So players would be wise to not ignorer and rush the platforming and travelling parts of Blackwind. You could end up missing some good stuff.

We checked out some Blackwind gameplay and it’s what we expected. We like the movement of the mech. We like the versatility of the weapons and definitely like how the energy blades look on the mech, especially when slashing. Definitely liking the graphics and visuals. The environments and levels look good. The animations and frames seem very good as well. The gameplay seems simple but good and fun. We do hope too gain more information concerning the upgrade tree branches and the weapons. Not enough info right now provided.

Overall Blackwind just seems like a good game so far. Nothing special though. We have to see and know more. Jump in, fight, slash, shoot, blast, dash and explore your way from being trash to becoming a powerful known fighter and defeat the invading aliens. We hope there will be co-op features. A game like this should have co-op action. The developers ‘Drakkar Dev’ have a done a good job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will keep an ear open for this game. Now blackwind may have mech blasting action but this whole invasion would have been stopped before it started by… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is a action survival role playing game developed and published by ‘Techland’. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is said to be coming out the 4th of February 2022 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Also the 2nd of April 2022 on the Nintendo Switch. The fast paced action with monsters is back. Let’s take a look.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is taking place in a dark world (off course) where the virus won and humanity got set back to the dark ages. Players control a wanderer who has “great power and abilities”. You are also haunted by memories which you yourself cannot decipher. The whole motto here is “stay human”. Player are encouraged by the game to stay human. Nothing is nice and luxurious here. It’s all doom and gloom and people dying and all that stuff. You know the drill by now. There are some differences and changes this time around.

X35 Earthwalker Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Let’s give an example. Normally in Dying Light going out during the day was much safer as the real monsters come out to play. So you explore during the day and hide during the night. In Dying Light 2: Stay Human you are encouraged to go out at night. Why? It’s simple. Think about it. At night, the monsters come out, which also means that the monsters aren’t home. This means players can sneak into their homes. Allowing the scavenging of their goods. We like this twist. Yes we are aware there was a bit of this in the last game but not to this degree or level.

Dying Light: Staying Human seems to be making more use of the parkour mechanics. This was lacking in the previous games. There’s Dying Light: Staying Human will have more creative weapons that are to be used in sync with your movements. There’s traps too which you can take advantage of. We do want to see this stuff in action though. Will it be like sound based gadget which brings their attention, then you run through to have them chase you into traps. Will there be anything that can be like solvents on the floor that cause slips. We want this to work as parkour stuff like climbing, shimmying, jumping, running and more are big parts of the game. Like the core. So we need to see more things built around this.

X35 Earthwalker Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Dying Light: Staying Human has the whole ‘your choices matter’ mechanic going on. Most games fail at doing this right, or even doing it at all. They said “shape the future of the city with your actions and watch how it changes”. We at X35 Earthwalker are very skeptical when it comes to the whole your choice matters mechanic. Developers just need o make sure that the choices and actions ACTUALLY matter. Maybe the different factions get stronger because you didn’t deny them resources. Maybe a faction backs you p in a battle because you’re on good terms, or like a cease fire. Etc. Do it right.

We checked out some Dying Light: Stay Human gameplay and it’w what we expected. We couldn’t tell if the changes we wanted are there. There seems to be new enemies or should we say variants of the monsters. We have seen anew character called Lawan who is described was smart and uses a cross bow. She looks cool. An actual likeable character design. Whether I’d a good design though we will judge once we can see the whole character model. Game developers have bad habits. Hope Techland do things differently. We do like that there’s multiplayer and co-op. That you can enter their world and see what they did differently. Multiplayer is a smart move. Especially for an action game like this.

Overall Dying Light 2: Stay Human just seems like another Dying Light game and not in a good way. We want to see something that gets our attention. Visually it’s good but the game isn’t scary at all so horror should be removed from the description. Nor did we feel any danger or threat. Off course X35 Earthwalker built different but still but we need to feel something. The developers Techland have done an alright job so far. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to hear what this does. Now Dying Light 2: Stay Human may have monsters that ap[pear at night but those things hide because of… the ‘Earth Walk!’

X35 Earthwalker The Anacrusis

The Anacrusis is a first person shooter 4 player co-op game developed and published by ‘Stray Bombay‘. The Anacrusis is said to be coming out this year 2021 on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC. It’s another xbox exclusive. No PlayStation or Nintendo. We like facing alien hordes. Let’s take a look.

The world of The Anacrusis is simple so far. All the action is taking place on a massive starship. The starship is stranded… at the edge of an explored space. There’s four characters. They must work together to survive and face off against the alien horde. It’s survival. Now it’s not clear if you are trying to wipe out all the aliens or if you are trying to escape.

X35 Earthwalker The Anacrusis

The Anacrusis has a claim for the players. They say you will “Never fight the same battle twice”. Let us explain. The Anacrusis has what they call a “AI Driver” which controls everything. It places each weapon, health kit, spawns every enemy, handles the bosses, places the gadgets. They claim that players of all skill levels will find the “perfect level of challenge”. So we will have to see how this works.

The Anacrusis has good character designs. Check this out. Dude with the afro looks cool. Not many artists know how to do good afro design brown characters. Japan with their anime are the worst at it. The dude in the suit looks real clean with it. Good design also. Already like the dudes here. The ladies have cute design. Good ones too. The details are there. The lipgloss is noticeable too. One’s rocking the teddy bear hair style. Just look at the characters for yourselves. There’s so much to say about these guys but that would be a long block of texts. We just really like what we see here. Hopefully they sound cool and appropriate. The character of the characters matter, especially in team work games.

X35 Earthwalker The Anacrusis

Let’s talk a bit about the aliens. They are the only real let down of The anacrusis so far. The aliens move more like dummies in a way. They look silly because of that. There seems to be no variety amongst the aliens. There’s the small floating spore looking ones. The generic humanoid alien head ones with glowy visors. Lastly there’s the big one which rushes and jumps at you. We need more variety than this. We like the gadgets and the weapons and stuff at work. It seems like the main aliens form of defeating you is by swarming you and trading you with their numbers. We hope they make big improvements concerning the aliens.

We checked out some The Anacrusis gameplay and it’s what we expected for a game of this type. One mechanic that we definitely like is that you can share the perks, weapons and other things with your team. So you don’t need to decide on the spot who gets the item. It can be given later. We like the design of the characters very much. We haven’t seen any team interactions. We want to know how they are with each other as character to character dialogue and banter makes a difference. We saw some of the gadgets in action and they do look useful. From get off me to a liar bait for the aliens. Making them ready for an explosive attack. We hope the plot goes deeper and that the difficulty is adjustable.

Overall. The Anacrusis looks like it would be fun. It’s a game you can’t take seriously. Just expect silly fun and that you can play with others. Hopefully it will have split screen. The developers welcome and want modders to do their thing concerning the game with creating mods for it. PC players will go crazy with that. Visually the game looks good and the colours stand out. The developers ‘Stray Bombay’ have a done a good job with this game. We at X35 Earthwalker will have to keep an eye open for The Anacrusis. Now The Anacrusis may have alien hordes but those aliens are a joke compared too… the ‘Earth Walk!’
